I hope you still look at comments and answer questions because this one is bugging me. I'm new to compositing and can do most basic things with resolve, but what is that green node you added at around 6:44 ? It looks like some sort of converging node that makes it easier to connect the fast noise output to everything else but I have never seen anything like that before.
@millolab Hi, really amazing. Would it be possible to get the sign or logo burning effect transparent so it could be placed in front of a normal video? Any ideas?
Awesome tutorial, as always! Im really sticking to the screen on these videos, hoping for more - advanced fusion knowledge is scarce on youtube. As a relative beginner on fusion Im sometimes struggling to follow the purpose of your actions until you have completed a step, so may be worth mentioning the goal sometimes :) But please more, this is just great! Thx for taking the time for making these videos!
I'm glued to my screen lolll I'm trying to understand why you make some things, cant follow all the way. I want to dive deeper into fusion but there's not much advanced stuff on YT. where can one go to acquire the knowledge needed to fully understand what is going here?
@@millolab everything you do in custom controls, the math involved. How do you know, where did you learn? It's also quite interesting to see you build the entire thing. Hello, thanks for this gem tutorial. Can I ask a question? I'm using Fusion in Davinci Studio, I have no idea where I have to put media out node? can you help me? thank you
I have only one problem with this. Gradient, how can i non linear gradient, i mean in your project gradient linear starts like fire from burning object, non like standard gradient from down to up of screen like in my project ?. I take all sliders in texture and try with mask and i have dark in down of my png object and light on top of image, but you have bright (part of gradient) around contour of png image and the farther away from png contour the grasient is darker.
How do you learn the syntax the expressions are written in? For example, AE uses a JavaScript-like syntax for it's expressions, but I've never seen any explanation on Fusion.
it is based on Lua, but as Im currently also interested in this, I can say there are multiple tuts out there on youtube and different websites if u just search for davinci resolve expressions.
Hi Milo, I am following along but around 8.25 my merge1 has a transparent background not black (it is set to exclusion) and this means i see the noise as background later on in merge3 (set to overlay). Any idea what I have got wrong ? Thanks in advance Wayne
@@millolab I’m not that familiar with Davinci resolve, but I thought macros or something like templates to Share effects in the node tree infusion or for later use
@@videobytrkx i don’t think this setup would make a good macro. Way too many things to have acces to. Also, I think one should learn how to do this kind of stuff instead of having a preset

confusing, that is what it is!!! noticed how he change all the nodes, and names, and add stuff that doesn't explain. What you guys are talking about. I've been watching real tutorials. Do not get me wrong, is a cool effect, but it would be excellent if only you would explain it better and without the shortcuts you are introducing and not explaining.
This is amazing. Can you ditch the song? I listen to all your tuts and it has become super distracting. But even if you don't I'll keep coming back for more. Thanks for your incredible contribution.
Good to see you back!
muy buen video, lo acabo de copiar y queda genial. Excelente tutorial..!!
Yet another gem from Millolab! Now setting fire to all kinds of stuff over here - grazie!
Wow!!!! That was amazing
thank you for the tutorial now I'm learning how to use a luma matte to get this on a transparent background.
I love fire in Fusion
THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!
Can i buy settings-file of this please ?
awesome

Thank you!! I learned a lot!!! Cheers!!!
Would love to try this... did I miss the Dragon figure? Is the figure available to get me started?
Super cool!
Great video, thank you!

very last node of your comp.
@@millolab ok, the last node is the very bottom node which is I put the film grain. So the media out is next to the film grain?
ahh, beautiful! it works! thank you very much
I was wondering if someone’s going to make a tutorial on this in davinci.
Thank you.
how you got davinci looking like that?
it's Fusion Studio.

oh wait ii think I got it. Maybe you piped the Texture node incorrectly. Try swapping the inputs
awesome. make a 10 hour version. go. and make a flaming zerg logo. in multiple colors also 10 hrs kthx

will try and check. I'll let you know ASAP.
Thanks!
Wow! loved it ...
how did you make that workspace?
Window > View Layout > MidFlow
Great effect. Could you share the resulting settings-file for the viewers who are too lazy to click and type along with you? 😁
I can do that. I'll probably upload it on Gumroad as soon as I catch some free time.

@@millolab Thanks, thats nice to hear it. me too. i was curious, if there is behind some big RTX workstation.
I truly envy the abilities of you guys that know how to do shit like this. Be so much fun to make anything you want.
Is fusion as strong as nuke ? I think no
YES.
It has been around way longer than Nuke lol.

go learn some fusion, first. That should help. Complaining for something free it's just bonkers.
