sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Ali Van I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Please go over your Reprojection technique in depth in another tutorial. Thanks. This was probably the best fusion tutorial on youtube. Nice real world exemples at the end too.
Man you are really good. I'm still working on my transition from AE to Resolve and I have to admit that I don't know a lot of stuff on fusion. Keep up the good work.
Have been looking for this for months! I had to finally come a cross your video to find out that fusion has the ability to create something like image plane within camera tracker ...! (similar to Null object in AFTER EFFECTS) thank you so much! SUBBED
great tutorial, thank you. what do you mean by render it out as a UV? and when removing the plant and windows, was that a freeze frame or how did you roto around the man's head?
Unreal. 255 likes right now... I don't get it. With all the "make your videos cinematic" getting zillions on likes and at the same time this getting 255. Well, whatever. Imho, this is gold. Thank you, Sir, for your time and effort!
Probably 16 people working for The Foundry didn't like you showing how Blackmagic Fusion can do some killing compositing. Keep it up and let's show how Fusion can be as good delivering as Nuke does.
@@MillolabTuts Indeed! The problem is that the Foundry did a monstrous marketing job trying to get rid of Fusion as compositing software, and till a point, I guess unluckily they got it :/ rare are studios nowdays using Fusion nor school teaching it... In any case, I'll keep using it for every compositing job as it always delivers ;)
do you have a course or something on fusion? I'm a beginner and this stuff is too advanced for me to understand but it is very interesting and I would like to learn it. Any links or tips?
even though i have no idea what half the stuff was about, I've subscribed anyway. very valuable and detailed tutorial content which i bookmarked as well. thank you again
Thanks for the tuturial. Has anyone replicated the first drone shot example? I just can't seem to get it to work. Have tracked it all fine, all the nodes set up the same, but the last merge node just shows the original footage, not the comped freeze frame. Stumped, wonder if it's down to changes in DR18 since this recording in 2020? If anyone has a screen shot of a working node graph I'd really appreciate it.
Ok, solved this. I had been copy / pasting the initial Render3D node, using fresh Render3D nodes sorted it. I also Instanced the 3D camera as well as the ImagePlane node. Hope this helps someone.
Dude, that was awesome. Very tidy work!! Something I would normally do in blender but I'm starting to think Fusion is a better option for this kind of thing. Do you ever export camera solves from Fusion to other 3d Software?
there's a kind of hack to do that using the point cloud and the custom vertex node. there's a Tutorial about that. ruclips.net/video/rYs5LH6gzvU/видео.html
May i have this project file and the footage to study please. I could hardly to follow. :( or would you also make a video on the recreate window + background and the toy replacement. I really wish to learn those technique from you
Thanks for the tutorial. I have shot some footage on a green screen with a moving camera. I need to have a motion track for the background so it matches the movement in the actual footage I have filmed. I have tried to use the Camera Tracker in fusion for the main clip I filmed, so I could then take the data and pop it on the background which then would match the same movement. Is this possible, and if so how do I do it? I have tried to copy and paste the nodes from Fusion, this did not work, and I tried to copy the first clip and past attributes, that did not work either.
Hello. Nice tutorial. Do you know? In the camera tracker from fusion 9 in camera tab there were many option for refine lens and why is missing the refine focal lens, Center Point and Lens Parameters. Now in Fusion 16 all othat is gone. Calculates based on ther lens you've enterded. Any idea? Thank you
hello millolab just want to ask you if i upgrade to studio davinci resolve will i get fusion studio too or i have to buy another license to it Thanks in Advance
It seems like when I use this method, the image the render that goes back onto an image plane and added back to the original footage comes out softer. Is there a render setting that might prevent this?
sure, use FBX. Some 3D softwares have different axis orientation, for example Blender has Z up while Fusion is Y up. That could actually result in orientation issues.
Feedback: The background music needs to be softer, it's competing with your voice. One of the things I really missed in your tutorial was the "why I choose the feature". Quite often during the tutorial I hear you saying: I like to ..... When you don't explain the why, you rob us of the opportunity to understand the tool. We then only know how you did it and not why, so it makes it a bit more difficult to apply the technique on another situation.
There's a why behind every choice. But there's no room to explain all and everything. I *have* to assume the watcher has a basic knowledge of Fusion and compositing in general... otherwise everything becomes impossible. Btw. if something is not clear, you could ask. :) So, please do.
@@MillolabTuts about uv projection? basic knowledge viewers cannot understand that ..You first neeed to know that ..Make another tutorial on that if possible..
Mani ratnam just do some research on the topic. He’s right, if he explains everything the tut will be 4 hours long. This isn’t a tut for beginners nor is it a basic intro to fusion
Half way through the video and Fusion Tracking already has three times more steps to do simple object removal than what it would take in both Mocha and Blender combined.
I don't know blender, but I do know mocha. Mocha can be a great help in some situation but sometimes camera projections are way better. To be honest if you want to use your footage instead of a single frame cleanup, then, even using mocha you'll have to stabilize and unstabilize (I have a tutorial about that).
Excellent content. Very useful. It is a little difficult to follow because of the disturbing and annoying background music though, so- if I may- I suggest you to avoid it.

that's because most users don't want to dig in deep. im floored how many people use resave and are deathly afraid to use fusion. node editor phobia.

yes you can export camera tracking data as fbx to maya/blender and do some vfx there.
I cant turn on camera projection mode inside the camera 3D. The check box doesn't allow me to click it.
