Well I just switch from PR to Davinci... And im totally new here.. Your videos are more than awesome! Appreciate it! BEST OF LUCK PICKING THOSE LIKES MATE! Cheers ;)
@@JamieFenn Would you mind doing some vids about how to recreate common effects from Premiere and AE in it? Like glitch effects, smooth zoom transitions, etc.? tracking has always captivated me when youtubers and vloggers use it!! i'm completely new to editing as a whole, so this may be a kind of stupid question, but can i ask if this is possible in virtual/animated environments such as those in video games?? Thanks so much, this video is old but i have been relying on a lot of your informative and helpful tutorials
OMG Thank you so much! My friends and I are making a small sketch movie type of thing and wanted a text/image that is at the beginning and stays there when the camera moves away. You are a lifesaver with such a good well explained easy tutorial.
@@JamieFenn man I'm stoked. You know, there's a couple of things I've always had questions with that I think would be excellent topics for your videos and I haven't seen anyone else cover them: - How to use all the buttons on the Edit page (when you mouse over, it doesn't tell you and no one reads the manual) - If you cut clips, how do you combine them back together again? - Copy these popular after effects plugins - Advanced fairlight functions (top 15 relevant effects maybe) - Dealing with multiple timelines (I tried creating a timeline with an IGTV format and another 4k30fps16x9 so when I went to export I can add them both to the render window and create a file for RUclips and another for IGTV) - If you create something cool like an animated title, how in the world do you export it so you can reuse it in more videos? This is a great channel i recently discovered! It makes it easier for me to use Resolve more :) It seems like Resolve has a great tracker and i dont have to use Mocha or Lockdown for all my tracking work.
Thanks for this! Video editing is a hobby for me, and I don't do it very often. It's been over a year since I put something on RUclips, but recently I was inspired to make another video, and this tutorial was very helpful for this project! I used the corner pinning tool in three different ways: on a static background; on a moving background with the tracker; on a moving background with manually keyframes becuase the tracker didn't quite work. Thanks a bunch!
hey! i tried to do this effect with a video instead of an image and the video isnt showing up, any fix or any idea on how to do it with a video instead? great tutorial nonetheless!
Thanks Jamie for all your love and grat work. Thanks to you I'm getting to finally know how to mix my 3d animations with video footage. However, I have a question: "Can we export the camera, or the tracking information of the 3d camera from Davinci Resolve17 to other 3d software in FBX? Otherwise how can we re-use the tracked information from Resolve in a 3d software? Thanks in advance Jamie and best regards from France.
Thanks for doing these tutorials, they are making me create things I never thought I would be able to do. I have created this same effect along with a few others which I have recently published on my channel, thanks to your videos. Keep them coming!
I got to about this point 3:24 but what if I'm not happy with the tracking (the tracking moves off the screen for me and I want to correct it)? Do I delete and start over? It's not clear to me what to do. I get really overwhelmed with how many options this program has, and how many terms I don't understand the meaning of.
4:50 - you got the bottom perfect but the top right point is not using the brick wall lines properly, you're a row above! so the perspective was off with the Instagram logo. However, for the time you spent and the overall quality of the result... it's pure magic. I used Adobe AE for 15+ years and am learning Resolve, and I don't think I will look back. Great trick with the bricks, I take advantage of the same kind of thing. Thank you very much for the tutorial, I learned loads.

@@JamieFenn so did you change the tracking to make it more accurate tracking ? or so that the tracking wouldnt move so you basically pass the object..like if you didnt change it to corner pin what would have happened idk if im making sense lol gonna watch a few times
