Hi Samir, I was able to configure my router and my NodVPN, it was only one laptop that was able to connect to the internet via my GL-AXT1800, it was the one with which I was able to configure the router. The other computers for my family, were unable to connect. Could you help me. Even if I have to buy you some things because we're going on a trip in 3 days? Thank you so much!

Slate Plus is the only one that uses native OpenWrt kernel (v5) . Everything else uses very old kernel (v4) that has not been updated for 2-3 years.

I have half of the ports on SFP28 (also compatible with SFP+) and the other half on 10GbE transceivers. No issues at all. It’s not limited to 2 GbW transceivers and there are no heat issues.

did it step by step with no mistake. when trying to access the file form network drive setup or directly from explorer address, at the credentials prompt it always say "wrong password"... idk

Working on an attic in the middle of the summer is something I don't wish, not even to my worst enemy.

We are in the middle of building a crypto mine. 3 immersion tanks, 18 miners. We have been using Ubiquity for years and years and for a small business setup it is outstanding. Rarely if ever goes down, wifi is flawless. We are building our mine on a 10gb backbone. 10gb from each tank into the aggregator. into a 8x2 SFP switch and off to the internet. I do love this Ubiquiti hardware. Very reliable and cost effective. I will be able to see all the data coming out of the entire mine right down to the port level on each miner on each switch on each tank. Epic.

It's years that I have been using Mint Mobile and I am very pleased with their service. Let's hope they won't change due to the acquisition from T-Mobile. BTW each plan includes the Hotspot, which main carriers usually don't offer on prepaid plans

Great video. I just got the GL-SFT1200 (Opal) router. My iPhone and iMac can find the Opal via WiFi. But I'm don't know what next to do to get the router to get on my home network.

Love this router. I take it on all trips out of town. I also take a Firewalla Blue Plus which is even much smaller than the travel router and connect it to my GL Inet Router. I was able to disable the dhcp server on the router and the Firewalla handles all of the ip addresses therefore all traffic has to run through it for deep packet inspections. I can see all the traffic real time on my travel router. Extra security while away from home. GL Inet makes great products.

How how can i connect usb devices on long distance like this?

Very nice video Samir, There are some tips i will give you. 1. Always unroll the fiberbundle so the hoops and swirls are not in the way. 2. Always clean (!!!!) any fiber connection, even if the fiber is new.

Stupid question. So if both computers are connected to the router with Ethernet cables, I don't need any of those 10gb Ethernet cards? They interact with one another through the router?

DREAM ROUTER ONLY HAS 600Mbps through put on both WIFI ANNNND!!! ETHERNET! Man I've been installing these for so long and had no idea. Seems like Ubiqiuti got a slap on the wrist recently about not being transparent (whatever that means) about max throughput.

i have owned Ubiquiti twice, and i have not been happy with the wifi speeds. and now i just feel its too much work for a home network to have it vs a dumb switch.. xD

More than 1/10th of a second between cuts can easily be resolved by both talking at a lower pace (Max Verstappen can’t be beaten :-)) and insert some pauses in between ‘chapters’ in your stories and/or sentences. Anyone know what to do when there are no disks available? Seems odd that it starts up and I can log into the dashboard, only to be stopped by no disks when creating a pool! Why can’t it see the one it’s using!😂

Samir, great video. Thanks. I just finished converting my venerable Gigabyte mobo to a NAS server and saw your video just now. Glad to see that I did most things right! I do wish you'd do a video on setting up VPN access to a TrueNAS server. I've got an OpenVPN Server (partially) configured on my ASUS router, and would love to know how to use that as a path for remote access to my NAS from my mobile devices, especially Android phones and tablets. But, I'm pretty clueless as to where to begin. If YOU know how to do this, it would make for a great instructional video. Hope you will consider it.
