What I love about Costco is that they don't freak out about you taking your TV home flat like Best Buy does. I live like down the road too so it's not even a big deal.
Costco’s the best!
i loved you intro so smooth
I bought the CX 48 a couple of weeks ago and really like it...so, yesterday I went back to Costco and bought the CX 77 for my downstairs home theatre. Unit arrives later this week. Can't wait!!
You won’t be disappointed! It’s an awesome TV
@@TechTalkwithSamir Just got it on Friday. All I can say is OMG
I shared that exact feeling when I watched an HDR movie on this TV!
The TV looks awesome!
I received my 55" CX this week and I love it! It replaced my 12 year old 32" Panasonic LCD Veira. Its not just the picture thats outstanding. Its worth mentioning that the audio is pretty good for tv speakers as well. I'm hooked on the Alexa integration too. That much so I've already started to make my home more smart since getting the TV. My wife is starting to get jealous of me chatting up Alexa I think 😂
😂😂😂
Happy for you man enjoy that tv. Im waiting for my A90j to be my first oled tv
Thanks for checking out the video :)
Got the 55 for the PS5 and it looks amazing. Good job on the video.
Thank you for checking out the video. I’ve been trying to secure a PS5 for moths (although not very aggressively). I can only imagine how good the new gen consoles look on this TV.
The moment you said “there’s nothing to grab on to” made me laugh 😂 I feel your pain bro, I have the LG CX 65inch, it was sooo scary moving it around haha.
Haha I know right? It’s great to have a thin TV but at some point, it becomes a little impractical. Especially since the bottom part is fat anyways.
Nice choice! I got the 65 for now.
65 is probably the best bang for the buck! For me I kept upping my budget and size until I just went “screw it... let’s get 77 inch OLED” lol
Nice video. I'm in the market for my first OLED and CX, C1, & G1 Evo are on my short list... nice to see NCAA looked good. Never see much real TV or blu rays playing at the stores. Keep us posted how you like it
It’s been amazing so far! I watch a lot of sports on it (mostly basketball) and it’s been great for that. It seems to make even lower quality 1080p videos look better than they did on my old TV. Some magical upscaling happens in this TV
I have the B9 55INCH OLED from LG. This year I'm looking to get the C1 65inch OLED from LG. A big move up. My dream is to Eventually own a 77inch OLED. I'm just dreaming at the moment. Your oled is beautiful guys
Once you’ve gone the OLED route, it’s hard to go back!
The most surprising thing about these TVs is it makes you rethink common graphics features. The white text on closed captions really pop out, and the timeline bar and text that pop up when you pause a RUclips video are brilliantly saturated and even harsh due to their apparent brightness. That is the contrast you get with OLED. The CX is a truly amazing tv, just make sure you don’t get one with dead pixels.
Well if I get a dead pixel in the next 5 years I should be covered thanks to Costco’s included warranty! The TV is truly amazing so far!
That is a BIG OLED! 👌I have a 65' A8H and I can say confidently after 5 months. I can never go back to LED. And brightness dim on OLED is a myth. I think it's actually brighter than my old LED👍✌
I agree. For a majority of the people OLED displays are probably going to be brighter than anything they’ve owned in the past. When people blindly claim that LEDs are brighter, they neglect the fact that not all LED backlights are built the same!
Bought the 77in on th 4th to replace a 65im C9. It's nothing like playing games and watching movies on a 77in OLED plus Best Buy has this set at $2749 right now.
It’s an amazing TV! Glad you’re enjoying it.
Very cool!!!
Thank you. I appreciate you checking out the video.
Congrats! I just got mine from Costco as well. It's ridiculous
I Know!!! I love it so far! Especially watching movies in the dark. I was told the brightness on OLED isn’t as good as LED but when watching movies in the dark, any explosion scenes are blinding! So brightness isn’t a concern at all!
Not bright as I hoped but the evo will make up for that in the next generation. Love the intro (:
Thanks for checking out the video.
Hey Samir! What is the purpose of the lights behind the TV?
It’s just for the purpose of some ambience in the room at night. Nothing essential, just personal preference.
OLED is worth walking home for son!
Size of the tv is sick, but your viewing angle is way to high, centre of the screen should be at eye level from where you are sitting.. if your spending that much on a oled do everything right it makes it that much better.
I did lower it about a foot since this video.
Nice congrats man. I got the 65CX and really like it but the vertical banding when watching movies in the dark is really noticeable. Have you noticed any yet?
I actually have not noticed it. But now that you mentioned it, I’ll look out for it!
@@TechTalkwithSamir apparently it's more common on the bigger models. I'm letting mine settle before I contact LG.
Vertical banding to the point that it's noticable as u see it, is a flawed panel. It's very common in the CX If have heard. If u can I would return and try again. To much money spent to have something that noticable on it. ✌
I’m yet to notice it. Even if it’s there, I hope I never notice it lol
How does the tv perform in a bright room bud, is it too dim? Great video by the way
The room we have it in is very bright during the day because of the windows. That being said, I’ve never felt as if the TV wasn’t bright enough. It’s definitely brighter than my older 55 inch LCD. I can’t speak for how they compare with the latest high end LED backlit TVs but subjectively, it feels bright enough for even a brightly lit room like mine.
@@TechTalkwithSamir your amazing Samir! I have a 65” CX on the way but have been really worried that in a brightish living room I have (a few windows) that it would be way to dim in the light. Do you have a video up with a day light video on the CX Samir? By the way I’m gonna sub bud as you have great content
I appreciate the support! I don’t have a video specifically for daylight demo but the parts near the end when I’m putting up the clock are in completely daylight with windows open. I think you will be happy with the TV ☺️
Neck pain at no cost how high you mounted that tv lol
Lol not really. We watch from a reclined position. Having it lower would be what would give us neck pain. Not sure if the camera is making it seem higher than it is but it’s much lower than any TVs that get mounted on top of fireplaces.
thought about a replacement for the xbox 360 ;)?
Not at all ☺️. I’m good with my XBOX 360 and my PS3. It’s perfect for my amount of console gaming (none at all lol)
You should have lowered the tv height viewing it looks too high or its just the camera
It’s partially the camera. Also keep in mind we recline the sofas so when in a reclined position, it’s more comfortable when it’s higher up on the wall. Otherwise I’m having to lower my neck to have a neutral view.
Congrats! I wish a 77” would’ve fit in my spot, I would’ve been all over it. I had to settle for the 65” Sony Oled. No regrets. Well, actually, I’m starting to wonder if the TCL 6 and 8 Series or the Hisense H9G would give most of the same picture quality at a fraction of the price.
The TCL 8 series is one of the most underrated TVs on the market. mini LED is the closest thing to OLED that doesn’t break the bank!
LCDs will never match OLEDs until microLED becomes affordable. There’s a reason why movie studios use professional color grading monitors alongside OLED TVs to make movies and not LCD TVs
For sure! The perfect blacks on OLEDs can’t ever be replicated on LCDs until Micro LED becomes mainstream!
Settling for Sony OLED is the best compromise ever lol. It would blow those other 2 out the water. Which one did u get?
@@JtotheM Master Series 65A9G cuz it was on sale for the same price as the A8H. And both were just a little more than the LG 65CX. Maybe I should’ve saved a couple hundred and gone LG, but I’ve heard so many good things about the Sony oled’s. First world problems lol.
What store did you go to pick up the TV sir plus the Gove led lights?
No. I got it from Costco!
And got the Govee LEDs from Amazon
Have one, and best investment on tv spent. It beats samsung Q series, my opinion. Best quality picture. Have mine wall mounted too.
It sure is a stunning looking TV. No regrets so far!
The tv mount you recommend on amazon it says up to 70”. Would it be sturdy enough to hold your 77” CX TV? How is it holding up for you?
Great question. Don’t worry too much about the “up to”. That estimated weights of TVs from years ago. Focus more on the weight it supports. And the 77” CX is well below the weight limit
Got it. I bought the same TV But didnt want to spend over $100 for the TV mount. Glad i stumbled across your video. I purchased the tv amount you recommended and im going to return the tv amount from costco that costs me $140
Place the front panel onto the box.
Too late now lol
Did you have any concern about transporting the screen sideways?
Nope. Not at all. It’s very well packaged. Keep in mind the packaging was already handled by many people in many ways prior to even arriving at the store. So packages are designed so that it can protect the product from any type of handling.
I bought a 55 cx friday night had to wait till saturday to mount it, watched it for around an hour and it cut out and every time i turned it on it cut out after around 5 to 30 seconds, i called the shop i got it from and had to bring it all the way back but they exchanged it for another one thankfully, hopefully nothing goes wrong with this one i have now
That’s unfortunate! Hope you have better luck with the replacement. How did you bring it all the way back? Did you put it back in the box? That box is really hard to repackage it seemed.
@@TechTalkwithSamir it cut out when i was breaking up all packaging to recycle it, i had a roll of bubble wrapping so i wrapped it up and put it in the box, it worked out well. Even though i got a dodgy tv at first i am still very happy with the replacement, nothing compares to oled, i was worried it wouldn't be bright enough but it is plenty bright
For sure. In fact since the blacks are completely black, the brightness compared to the dark area is very striking! Especially if you can darken the room a bit.
I have a qled in the bedroom and irs not even close to the quality of an oled, any way good look with your beast of a tv, happy viewing from ireland ✌🇮🇪
Thank you! Appreciate you checking out the video.
Man I want the LG CX 65 SOOOOO BAADDD when I move to my own apartment next week... But I just graduated and got my first job. Everyone (Bengali parents) is telling me not to spend that much money.. Do you think its worth almost double the price from Hisense H9G ?
Honestly the OLED definitely stands out from other TVs. But at the end of the day it’s still a luxury product so what you get for the price isn’t exactly proportional. Just because it costs more than double of certain other TVs, doesn’t mean it’s twice as good! I can relate with the Bengali parents. My parents still ask me “what’s so good about this tv compared to a $1000 one”
@@TechTalkwithSamir You're right. I think I should get the cheaper option. This way I can look forward to the day when I have a house to buy that big OLED tv. Or just wait a month and see if the price drops. Thank you for the response!
Don't you think that the TV is hanging too high a little?
Not for my viewing position. We are mostly reclined on our sofa so our head is naturally angled upwards slightly. If it was slightly lower, we would have to angle our neck down from a reclined position so it would have been slightly uncomfortable. The height of the TV will always depend on the seating arrangement.
@@TechTalkwithSamir you can see it better than me fair
I just bought one and the audio sounds like crap no matter what I try. I'm taking it off the stand and wall mounting it to see if that helps. My E6 audio will wipe out just about everything out there, I'm listening to my C8 more and it's decent but the cx77 audio plain sucks. Lg wants me to buy a $1k soubdbar. For a $4k tv it should have flagship audio.
I can’t quite speak for the audio since I’ve been using a sound bar anyways but I can imagine the audio being somewhat sub-par.
Mine got here today, a real religious experience
Haha. That’s one way to put it!
How far is your seat?
It’s roughly 10 feet from the TV
jeeez why is the tv so high up? Its suppose to be in the middle of the wall, my god
I eventually lowered it. It was high up because of where the bracket was already installed but I later went on to lower the bracket.
Does anyone know the dimensions of this stand? I need to raise it up?
Which stand?
@@TechTalkwithSamir LG C1 77 inch
You mean the dimensions of the base?
@@TechTalkwithSamir yes. The default base/Tv stand. I think it is 47.2 by 10.6 but I just wanted to confirm. Need to get a custom platform to make room for the soundbar
The base actually comes in two pieces. The long piece that you see from the front is 47 inches and the smaller part that connects to the TV is roughly 7.5 inches wide. So when you combine the two the footprint is exactly what you mentioned. Long story short, yes 47.2 by 10.6 sounds accurate.
Why is everybody hanging their TVs so high?
For me initially it was because my couch is reclined and I am pretty much watching TV while laying down so having it higher aligned more with where my eyes naturally went without moving my shoulder. That being said, since this video, I did lower it about a foot to better optimize the viewing experience.
Placed that TV way to high on the wall
Yup realized it and lowered it later
Probably not the first to say this but that TV is too damn high! It’s massive, why place it so high up?
It’s actually the perfect height for our seating position. We watch from a reclined position so our heads are facing upwards a lot more.
Why the heck didn’t you buy it from somewhere that offers free delivery, TV that expensive should be transported upright, thankfully you didn’t have a cracked screen, where i used to work we would never taken a return on That TV because of the way it was transported If it arrived at your house with a cracked screen
Except it’s Costco! They take back anything and everything. Also I wasn’t patient enough to schedule a delivery. Wanted it right away ☺️
I will never understand why people mount their TVs closer to the ceiling than the floor.
Can’t speak for others but for me, it was because of reclined seats where my eyes are naturally at an higher angle. That being said I did lower the TV about a foot after this video was made.
r/tvtoohigh
Lol. Height depends on seating arrangement. For me this height is perfect
