- The LG G4 OLED TV could be the best TV in 2024, but how does it compare to the LG G3 OLED? I’m going to put the two side-by-side in a head-to-head to see which is better, what the differences are and if it’s really worth the upgrade.

Who's got an OLED? Let me know what you're using.
I'm using a Samsung KS8000 65" bought in 2017, still going strong in 2024.
I have a 14 year old LG 47LD550 FULL HD LCD TV, and it still works well
No Oled only Qled 😅
Can you compare a top of the line Qled vs Oled gaming
I have the S95c + 990b soundbar for Q-Symphony. Amazing combination! 😍
I love the G4; maybe I'll consider buying it in the future.
I have the GX in my bedroom too.
Its no point change tv every year, better wait 4-6 years for really better features, brightness etc🔥
Yeah. You would lose a lot of money if you did change TVs ever year.
Yeah there really isn't no point
I guess it depends if you see a benefit to the changes. I agree though that every year (like we do with phones) is excessive for most, unless there's one change (like brightness/screen coating/gaming features) that stands out to you personally.
@@SpawnPoiint yeah agree✌️
exactly min is 5 6 yrs or max 10 11 yrs till the TV survives. intex 1st 40 inch lcd which was launched in 2010 and we bought in 2010... last upto 2021.. it was built like a tank . LCD has no market now... only Led exist . so we did not able to get it repaired . . its inverter chip was unavailable in our whole market
I got an insane deal at Best Buy for the 77" G3 which was only $2,200, and I could not pass the opportunity. Great video!
Was it open box?
What I instantly noticed about the G3 was how bad the colour settings were out of the box. After two evenings I finally realised that the energy saving mode was still enabled.
Great vid, you know it’s gonna be a chill gaming day when you post
Have an awesome day gaming!
Such great content! Keep doing what you do
Mate this came at the perfect time, completing on my flat tomorrow and have been tasked with getting a new TV.... both of these contenders!
806k subscribers, it surely has been long since I was last here. just recently you went to 100k subs.
Wow, this is commendable
I purchased the g4 77" just waiting for delivery thanks for the great review
Enjoy. It’s such a great tv.
I have watched all your videos about the xbox serius x ,ps4,ps4 pro ,ps5 ,ps5 slim the different controller video ,And the tv unboxing, gaming setup in small spaces ,and all youa videos help me a lot
Can you do a picture setting mode please 😊 yours always look amazing!
You make great vids on lg tv's, it is cool to watch your vis
Thanks dude.
Great video! I have a G3 and I absolutely love it. You should make a video about your picture settings, your tvs always look great!
Thanks for the idea! Maybe I could do a short.
Just use Rtings
I have the G2 & absolutely love it!
Great choice man!
Great video! I have the G3 and love it. Any chance of you doing a setting’s video? Your G3 looks amazing.
Both tvs are very very similar while watching content because the peak brightness improvements are incrimental. But for gaming they are night and day because Lg now implemented their colour boosting algorithm into game mode ( all other Lg Tvs dont use the panels full potential in game mode which has been a well known problem for years )
Love your videos❤️
Thank you 🙏
Great video, and like you said you can definitely tell the difference in brightness between the two. It was really noticeable on the Venom still that the G4 was brighter, you could see more of the detail pop!
Yeh it's really tough to show on camera, but it's even more noticeable in person. Thanks for watching too.
l got the G4 yesterday and his right it’s really great
Hi bro. Love your videos.. make a comparison between c1 and g4
Great review as always! Only question I have is what do you do with all these TVs??
My 2015 65" Samsung is still working strong... apart from an annoying compatibility issue with the Vizio 5-channel speakers creating intermittent gaps in audio when playing certain RUclips videos (gaps that aren't available when switching to the TV speakers). I'll save that money for a MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED (if I can FIND one)!!
So happy I'm subed to this channel. 😢 love the content
Thanks dude!
Nice OLEDs. I have the LG C2 48" which works very well for me. I usually upgrade my TVs roughly 5-7 years unless something has gone wrong with it. I don't see the need to upgrade so often, unless you sell and buy your TVs every year which is a bit more of a hassle than I'm willing to go through every year.
Your content is so attractive
Keep up the good work
Fantastic review Spawn. If it were me I would save money and get the G3 because save for a little bit more brightness on the G4 both tv's are pretty much the same. But again great review.
very nice comparison
Glad you liked it 🤝
I have the 65" G2 and 77" G3. Great review. I found a slight difference between the G2 and G3. Probably the same as you have commented from the G3 to the G4. Any Gallery series TV is an excellent choice and you can't go wrong with any of this LG product.
Nice oleds, bro
Hey really love ur vids can u make a best budget gaming moniter for PS5
Have a great weekend Spawnpoiint!
You too dude, hope it's a good one.
I still have and use my 27" Vizio from 2010/2011
The problem I feel with modern OLED is agressive ABL. So I really always dimm the image down to around 60 because there it’s not as noticeable
Spawnpoint, i love the vids, ive been trying to find whats the best 4k 32" monitor under or around $500 (for ps5) but i just cant find any confiable reviews do you have any suggestions?
Hey there, you mentioned you selling your older tvs, do you have a place to sell in the uk? I’ve got a G2 77 and i’d think to upgrade, but obviously i’d sell my g2 first. Thanks for the answer 😉 good vids keep up the good work bud…
Been Playing Call of Duty on LG OLEDS since 2019… and I’m slaying people on PC while sitting comfortably on my couch playing on a 65 LG G3 it looks beautiful and the 120hz feels great with VRR…can’t wait for Black Ops 6 on a LG OLED 💯💯🥃
Thank you for the review. Your channel deserves support. Can you remove a video from TV settings?
I am still gaming on my LG CX Oled it has 120hz it is still a great TV. I also still have the LG C7 Oled still running like a beast.
The CX and C7 are awesome. You’ve beat me as I have the C9 still, and it’s great.
no burn?
Still loving my C9!@SpawnPoiint
@@stevensv4864No burn for me.
Hi love your videos! Pleas review c4 vs C3 vs G4. That would be great!
I don't have the C3/C4, but tempted to buy the C4 and see how it compares.
@@SpawnPoiint I bought the C3 but received the C4. And i think it’s too bright!
@@SpawnPoiint c3/c4 similar
Fantastic video! I am looking into buying my first OLED tv and considering different options. Firstly, which brand Sony or LG? Leaning towards LG pricing wise, however I am not sure whether to go for the C-series or G-series for more money. Please help😂
I got the LG G3 so far love it sometimes I wish I had the G4 but I saved some money and the tv is still very good
FeaturesI'd like to see:
1. Build your own homescreen. Make it more like android where you can resize and move apps, cards, ads, etc.
2. A wider set of mounting points added would be nice. I just ordered the G3 77", and I would like to put it on a stand/eet that put the feet much closer to the outside edges to make room for a center channel or sound bar underneath (as opposed to out in front of the LG base, or on a shelf below.
3. A smart, home theater setup feature would be cool. One where you enter in the types and/or model numbers of your soundboard, receiver, apple tv/roku/etc, game consoles, etc. and then based on what's in your system, and maybe some questions about preferences, it will tell you how to connect them all together for the best picture, sound, and performance. It could show wiring configurations on the screen, as well as the ports
4. Detachable/replaceable cord
5. If the tv could control led backlight straps it would be awesome. What I am imagining is a strip of LEDs that plug into the TV's USB. Then the tv controls the color of the backlight based on what is on the screen. There are backlight kits with a camera that look at the screen, and use that to control the lights, but I feel like the tv could easily send that information out of a USB to the light source.
Some solid suggestions there, I like those!
Picked up an LG M3 83", which has absolutely NO wires, from what ive been told. Good bye wires, hello future of entertainment, this will change everything. M for me 4 ever. what do u think of the M3?
Look great TVs. I have a c3 Oled 55 inch which is good enough for me and a Panasonic zt65 60 inch plasma for all my 1080p gaming goodness :)
Nice OLEDS 👍🏼👍🏼 cheers 🍻
Hey Chris, how about mini LEDs category, 65 inch as well do you recommend the Sony Bravia 7 or the LG QNED miniLED 91 2024? Really appreciate your opinion and suggestions as it would help me a lot to make a decision 🙏🏻🫶🏻 Great video as always ❤
Gaming on the LG G4 definitely a dream setup ❤💙
Yes man, gaming is awesome.
Think I'm gonna get the LG G4. I've never had a LG OLED TV so I'm excited to get my first one.
Coming from a G1 I bought in 2022, not going to spend another few thousand to just keep up. A TV I'll have for the next 8 years easy ;)
Hey spawn. I think that you should do a video about a budget gaming monitor for the Series X like the one you did for the Ps5
Nice Video SpawnPoiint, mybe its my screen I'm watching you video on a MacBook but I don't see any difference these TVs are great woow
Never skip a spawn point video !
Cheers dude, good to see you here.
The only reason I went for the g4 was because I could get the stand
Yeh the new stand is a great idea!
just get yourself a tv stand you can adjust the height & rotate the tv left or right so much better to have than the stands they provide 👌🏽
Considering the price of both tv's at July 2024: 65G3 €1900,- & 65G4 €3300,- my pick is the G3
My eyes are still analogue. They’ve saved me a fortune.
😂😂
Great stuff. I have a qn95c..am I missing out?
I own TCL C745 55” and lemme tell you, it’s absolutely fantastic for PS5. But in a far future upgrade, I’d be struggling between Samsung, LG, and Sony
The G-Series vs the C-Series would be an interesting video as well!
Nice OLED, I think it really comes down to when you bought the G3 if someone is passed the return policy then the G3 is a fantastic choice, not only that it also depends on the person's financial situation, both will give you a great picture the difference is settled in most cases. I have the G3 I can say it quite bright for most use cases, I love gaming on it not only that the color pop is amazing
Nice OLEDs! LG continues to be the king of OLED TVs.
Also panasonic is king , 2 kings❤❤
Nice oleds❤
Cheers for the support
LG C3/C4 is good option for ppl who want to buy budget OLED TV especially LG C3 probably got a lot of price cut this year. I'm using LG C3 and i love it.
Just purchased the 65" G3 for $1892 which was $1K less than the G4. Purchased in Florida from BrandsMart and was $407 cheaper than Best Buy. I also purchased a Sanus stand which is like a iron brick protecting my investment. I cannot wall hang. This is upgrading from an 8 year old Samsung SUHD which was high end at time of purchase. Samsung panel is going with light bars coming from both sides which is really annoying and overall drop in picture quality. Looking forward to the OLED which will be used a in a bright room but no direct sunlight.
I have the c3 and its a good tv
NICE OLEDS 💙💚
Thank you 🙏
Would you be opening to reviewing the hisense U8N?
Nice oleds
I hadn't bought a new tv in about 7 years so i ended up picking up the LG G4 cause i didn't really have a budget i wasn't about to settle i was getting what i wanted no matter the cost. But u can't go wrong with either one they both look amazing. Even the C series looks amazing
Congrats on the new TV!
Thanks man. Love your channel. I've bought most of my electronic gaming hardware based on your recommendation and unboxing videos. Keep up the awesome work man..
Got a 65” G4 and it’s incredible
Great choice dude. Enjoy 🫡
Whats the white table the TV on the left is on? I wanna buy 1
Nice oleds, do you know by any chance if the LG G4 stand works in the G3?
Great question. When I dismantle it I’ll try and test it.
Great video, what’s your favourite game to play?
Thanks. Right now I'm playing The Crew Motorfest, but enjoying Stellar Blade too.
First tv iv seen thay makes me want to upgrade currently use a 55" lg c1 with a Samsung q950a sound bar system will probably get this to replace the c1 atound black Friday dont need anything bigger than 55" as my movie setup is the xgimi horizon pro , actually looking to upgrade that next year to the hisense c1 projector, would love to a see a video comparing both of if those projectors ...
c1 best with colour gamut
Can you review the TCL QM851G 65” (2024)? I’ve been seeing lots of reviews praising its gaming capabilities and being the best budget gaming TV, some even saying it’s comparable to the LG G4 and Sony Bravia 9 (at least in terms of gaming).
The TCL QM851G supports HDMI 2.1 up to 144hz, it was tested at around 6,000 nits of peak brightness, and it has an extensive game mode with up to 240 VRR.
I want to know your thoughts on it, and just how much better the LG and Sony are? I’m assuming you wouldn’t be able to tell any difference unless it was side by side. The TCL’s gaming features is what really drew me in.
Kinda wish i got the G4 but wasn’t available here in Canada :( Ended up getting the Samsung S95D which is awesome,
Yeh the Samsung is a great screen man. Did the G4 ever launch there?
@@SpawnPoiint YUP. Just late. Got the S95D. Prolly gonna check out the G4 still tho. Dope video my guy 👊🏽👊🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Loving my OLED G3. Thanks for the comparison.
That’s a great screen! You should be happy 💪
NICE OLEDS
I’m sure I read somewhere that the G3 is also part of the renew (update) program?
Nice Oleds
Thanks for watching.
Nice OLED's ❤
Thanks for watching.
We need a G5 to see diferences between g3 g4 ;)
How much better is the G4 compared to the C1? I think you should make a video talking about that.
I have the C1 and I would love to know
I’m still rocking Pioneer Kuro plasma 😂. Deciding between G4 or A95L. Any advice ???
The Pioneer Plasmas were incredible TVs, I can see why you're holding on to it haha. Tough choice between the A95L and G4, I'd say the Sony is better on colours/movies, but the G4 for gaming and it's slightly brighter.
A95L
Same here, my pioneer still going strong 💪
Just offtopic, i see that you used a 2.0 hdmi splitter. Did you get the same gaming experience instead of the hdmi directly connected to the tv?
I don’t get 120hz but for the video demo that’s fine. My real world testing I directly plugged the consoles in for the best experience.
I have the G3 and I think it the perfect tv ❤
Yeh looks awesome, should be happy with it.
is it better than sony a95l?
I wonder how the G5 will stack up next year.
Do you know if the G4 stand is compatible with the G3?
I need to test this. I asked LG and they said no. But I reckon it’ll fit.
Nice OLEDS
Quantum TV says that the LG G4 is garbage! and that not even Quantum can calibrate the G4 properly, similar to opening the Flower of Life as Terrance Howard spoke about.......... This is so important for the future of technology.
Master calibrator 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Solidariity Quantum TV said the G4 is garbage 🗑... enough said.....
He would say this. I wouldn't trust him.
Quantum is making a clever business move for his channel. If he disagrees with most of the larger more reliable channels, he's channel will grow out of community engagement, comments etc. Misleading information but smart business move.
Quantum is garbage
@@user-de3jk2fq3z So hes wrong? isn't he an ISF calibrator?
I just upgraded from the c1 to g4 and the g4s picture has been terrible. There seems to be a issue with the HDMI ports that's more and more people are getting where the picture goes blurry fuzzy and the contrast looks of
Pls compare with c series also
Is it really that big of a difference with dolby video having film maker vs cinematic because I noticed on sd content that film maker and cinematic are almost identical
10:54 what is this city ? miami or another ! hi bro from kazakhstan 🇰🇿 your accent so beautiful 🔥 the english accent
I have a samsung qled90r 75inch paid Lil over 3k had it brand new in 2019 I'm gamer these tvs and sony new tvs makes mine obsolete more brighter other things never again buying newer TV yet cuz when the ps5 came out had all theses software updates and my tv doesn't have the compabilty for it when I turn it on rather just wait until ps6 or my tv gaves up haha
What hdmi cables are you using?
how about G3/G4 vs C3 ?
I have a C1 oled, and its funny if the playstation is hooked up directly to the tv you get vrr, but if it's hooked up to a receiver, vrr is off. Any way you can have the sound coming through the receiver and still enable vrr??
I’ll get the G4 next year and it drops in price a little bit
I want to ask, is the 42 inch 4k tv the picture sharper than the 65 inch 4k tv, because they have different pixel density
Stick with my cx from 2020 and not fell the necessity to change.
When is it about necessity lol? C1 48, it was and still is amazing. But still tempted to step up once this TV hits its price dip of course. Want to try out MLA + get the benefit of 144hz on PC.
Quick question which one is the darker
