- Picked up my new 77 inch LG CX OLED and couldn't wait to get it unboxed and try it out on some 4k hdr movies and video games! After spending some time with this TV all I can say is its awesome! Plastic on the back has been removed for a while now. Awesome tv if you can afford one and have the room! Still going strong!
That truck is CLEAN.. Congrats on having excellent taste.
Per the instructions, the box is to be removed in two halves by removing the black rectangular clips securing the box halves. Only the 55-in model involves removing the entire box up and over as seen in this video. There's a little pamphlet taped to the very top of the styrofoam packing material on the right side of the package when standing in "FRONT" of the box. This is where the instructions for unboxing are located - or, were on mine.
I've just ordered a LG CX 77" also and it was fun.........."fun" to see how big the box to the TV was.

Dude I’m so jealous. I’m really really tempted to get the 77 but I think the 65 will thank my wallet. Is the extra real estate worth the price difference? I’m really big into warzone and am getting my PS5 here pretty soon.
Totally worth it!! I had a 65" before and have been playing warzone on this for quite a while now. Its and excellent tv for gaming and movies. No regrets at all, If you can afford it then i would say to buy it. If it is going to put the budget in trouble or stretch everything too thin then stay with the 65 or something within the budget.

Ordered mine on Greentoe as well, to be delivered this coming Monday. I hope the TV survives the shipping. Thanks for the video! (I'll say it, please get a bigger TV stand! So scary - the thought of someone tapping it from side.....looks like it will tip right over!) lol. Gorgeous TV!! Gratz!
Word of warning to those who aren't absolutely ready to take it out of the box (as in our case where I got this a month and a half before moving) - DON'T CUT THE PLASTIC BANDS! I did so before finding this info online so that I could just look at the unboxing instructions inside the top, but in doing so you're removing everything holding the box together. The bands are holding together the top of the box and the bottom part that the TV is sitting in, so removing them causes the top to slide right off and makes it so you can't carry it using the hand holes.
I thought you weren't supposed to grab the screen like you did when lifting it. I was nervous about my 65" one breaking.

I've been gaming and watching movies on my cousin's 150 inch laser projector, I feel like 77 inch would look small now lol

Awesome! Its a excellent tv especially when you feed it proper 4k content such as 4k HDR movies and video games! You will love it. Best of luck getting the PS5 btw, they are hard to find here in the USA.

One thing i hate about lg and its they provide same remote for a 32 inch 720p cheap led tv and 77 inch oled ultra premium tv 🤦🤦🤦
Right! The remote functions nicely but they could have made it out of premium brushed nickel metal or brushed aluminum or something with rubberized grip maybe... Totally agree with you. For spending over 3k on a tv a person should get a higher quality remote also.

Yah I don't like the back of the remote. It gets greasy very easily.
That’s a big 📺 I’m getting the same but I feel I may just keep it in the loft conversion just because it’s the biggest room in the house and I will have the best viewing space and distance..

How wide is your stand? I have a stand with 52 inch in width so I'm a little worried.

It absolutely is amazing for gaming and movies. I will do more videos on it in the future.
I actually ordered the 55 inch A90J, but the next day, I called and ordered the 65 inch A90J, I knew I'd regret it after with the 55.
I would have got the 83 if I had the room. I don't think I would trust that stand, it was wobbling as you took the plastic bag off.
Yeah, always go bigger than what you think you need.

Where you nervous putting the tv base on and then putting it on your tv stand? Tv is so thin it gave me anxiety on my 65” I’m considering returning to get the 77”
Yup totally nervous putting on the bottom stand and setting it back upright. Its an expensive tv to make a mistake and accidentally drop or something😂. The base stand on it sucks though, i hate the design of it.

@@scottphilhower3428 The 77" is perfect for how far we sit from the tv. We had a Sony 65" X900f before which was a really good tv, but the Oled is way better for gaming and movies.
@@PCaddict365 Does yours lean back in the stand? Mine leans back a few degrees and is pretty wobbly if you push on the top at all.
@@TautologyTechSystems Yes mine leaned back also but i just took a microfiber towel and folded it up and put under the back part of the stand to make it sit straight up. The stand on these is terrible like i said. For a 3k plus tv it should come with a much better stand.

I have a small room. 12X12. I would sit about 7 feet away from the screen. would the 77 inch be to big?
No i don't think so, It would make an awesome home theatre tv that close
@@PCaddict365 it would be used primarily for gaming and occasional movies. Just want to make sure it wouldn’t be too close . It’s an expensive purchase and outing on the wall, just want to get it right
oh no that would absolutely be perfect for full immersion. the only way a 77 would be too big maybe if you were sitting like 3 ft away or less then yeah might be too big buy from at least 5 ft and more should be awesome to feel fully immersed.

Yeah, i thought about that when I was shooting this video. Probably a good idea to remove it from any new tv sets.

If you are in no rush wait and see what the C1 improves upon over this CX model.
Nice tv, im trying to convince myself to take back my 65 inch for the 77 inch. But if u like warzone, try Players Unknown Battlegrounds or PUBG for short. Same game but more real with bullet drop, n no coming back after u get toasted, movement is slower n less refined, but PUBG started this battleground 100 player murder match thing. I like it the best. I do play them all but not like PUBG baby!
Also I've played call of duty since black ops one so I'm kind of burnt out on that shit. If ur on xbox, im outquick. N chk my youtube chan for some fun vids if u like.
You already have a lot of subs. Go from making basic videos to pro videos. There's a ton of tutorials on YT on how to create content, edit videos, etc. Good luck
The tv can suffer heat issues if you leave the plastic on the back

I thought i had the same problem, but it barely fit! 🎉🎊 Measure for size and go as big as you can fit in that space😎. Its like having a home theater in your house.

@@PCaddict365 I am in Toronto Canada I preordered it at a local retailer. All the big box stores are sold out and a lot of customers on my local Reddit are still waiting for various sizes 55 and 65. We have manufacturing issues here due to covid so you are really lucky haha
@@mcsun2628 I heard from a friend in Canada that some cities are not letting people buy "non esential" items like tv's etc due to covid. Supposedly citizens are only able to buy essential items like certain foods and thats all.... Pretty messed up if you ask me. How is buying a tv going to affect covid numbers from going up, which are already over inflated anyway and blown way way out of proportion. Best of luck getting your tv, wish you the best!

Good video, overall. Unboxing was helpful, including laying it down on Styrofoam packing. It would be even better if you showed how to put the stand together in detail, and maybe less time showing how to peal off the stickers. Putting together the stand was not obvious and the graphic instructions provided by the manufacturer were horrible.
Yes you are absolutely correct about putting together the stand, i intended to film it in more detail but was confused my self on how it went the first time also so i stopped recording and had both of us putting it on while the tv was on the Styrofoam box. I tried to quickly show the stand in the video but yes i should have went into more detail, we were frustrated by that point in the video Lol. Its a awesome tv though! I will do more videos on it after the holidays, we are currently visiting my wifes family in Panama until after the New Years. So Merry Christmas and Happy New years to everyone who reads this comment!

Always if risk, but 95% of the time that is a result of gaming, or sheer abuse. Note too, that image retention is often confused with "burn in" -retention can be corrected, "burn in" cannot !!
