    Just bought this TV a month ago. Coming from a mid tier 2019 LED from LG, which I thought looked pretty good, i was mind blown. Have rewatched all my favorite content on this TV and the experience has been amazing - OLED is NOT overrated. OLED really takes you to another level with immersion, especially for films because you get to dim the lights, and the blacks are blacks, you dont get disrtracted by any blooming, and it has that contrast that makes it look more 3D. I actually ordered the Hisense U8N because apparently had amazing contrast, but quickly cancelled the shipment before it arrived, and decided to go with this to avoid any compromises. Like if you're going to have a TV for many years, and you do enjoy Movies and tv watching as a family activity during the weekneds, it is worth spending a bit more. Its expensive, but not too crazy expensive. If you have the ability to buy one comfortably, just go for it.

  • @benisjammin626

    Not the best price ever, but I found a 48" C4 at Costco. I bought the TCL QM8 75" for the living room from best buy in Feb, but wanted a nice smaller tv for the bedroom. Wanted a 55" but the 48" was $700 with included 3 year warranty and the 55" was like $1300 or something like that. I actually like both my TV's having really good, but uniquely different pictures. LG looks crisp as hell. Perfect for night time movies. I will say the tcl UI and remote is superior overall. Have to train my brain on the different remotes, but the lg doesn't light up and I have a harder time feeling the buttons. All the money went into the wii pointer functionality
    Funny side story, the 48" barely fit in the trunk in my tiny Subaru 2nd gen BRZ (one of the smallest cars on the market). I ended up bending the trunk frame by the rubber weatherstripping gasket a bit, and tearing the gasket. Oops. I ended up slowly shimmying it little by little from the inside. Didn't notice till I went to close the trunk. I had to cut the box open from inside, and carry it out of the car, to prevent bending the thin aluminum more. I was upset but also laughing at the absurdity of it. People at the costco parking lot and even my neighbors coming home were like "wtf". Only time I've ever needed a bigger car, is when I am buying TV's 😂

    Watching this on the LG C4 I bought 3 months ago. I switched from a 2020 4K LED and it is definitely a worth decision.

    The LG C4 is a great TV. Perhaps its only shortcoming is the noticeable green tint the screen exhibits when viewed from an angle, as documented by the RTINGS review of this model.

    • @futureaceone3971
      @futureaceone3971 22 дня назад +4

      The Sony Bravia 8 has the same green tint problem. RTINGS documented it on their review of the Sony Bravia 8. Also the LG B4 has the green tint problem. Rtings documented this as well. It's sad. LG Display seems to have screwed up their panel production this year. I wish Caleb would have mentioned it because it can be seen in his video. Whites have a greenish cast instead of the usual woled bluish cast. To me that's a very serious flaw. I wouldn't buy any woled TVs this year because of it.

    Great contributions all the time Caleb. I love the "pop" in the color of the LG TV's but when I want the best authentic re-creation, I go to Sony. I have one of each in my home and I love them both for what they do. I have the A80K and just picked up a LG C3 a few months back given the bang-for-the-buck. The comparisons in the store between today's latest LG and Sony still hold the same general find - the "pop" belongs to LG, the accuracy of re-creation as intended, Sony. Well done my friend. The replacement C4 though will be an upgrade to 77 inches which will be a better fit given the room it will be situated in now that I have experienced the 65 inch size.

    If someone thinks of buying a Scamsung S90D, before doing that, check if that TV has QD-OLED or WOLED. If it has WOLED, don't even think to buy the Samsung one, just get the LG.
    42", 48" and 83" are 100% LG Display (as they are the only manufacturers for such displays). In some regions 55" is panel lottery, and 77" 100% is also LG Display (again, in some Regions, like in Europe, Romania).
    Here in Romania, the WOLED S90D's ends in AEXXH, while QD-OLED S90D's ends in ATXXH. Also, I've seen the same model numbers for other European countries too. So, for my European fellas, avoid the AEXXH models, and get the C4.

    Pretty nice upgrade overall. Though I will say the cost cutting is obvious when you compare it to the C9 (C9 has a huge stand, more inputs, better remote, attractive backside with finish, sits lower, better power button) I'm ok with all that because I know the tech/panel is cutting edge and the 144Hz was a nice bonus. Problem was, they were out of stock since it’s a last year’s model and C4 was more expensive than Bravia 8. This morning, or should I say 15 min ago I checked the new prices, and C4 is now on even better sale than Bravia 8 making it cheaper than Sony. Came here to check on your review and really appreciate it. With the BB warranty, I don’t mind not getting LG’s 5 year panel protection as I should be covered by BB warranty. I found C3 to have better connectivity than Sony and TV just looks spectacular. This will be my first LG TV ever and I am hoping built quality and longevity will not disappoint. I am coming from a 9 year old Samsung 8 series 4K led tv and I am sure this will be a major upgrade. The scene where wine is poured into a glass for example during their comparison, or the color of the strawberries, made me understand I really value that HDR increase and that I just always seem to have an issue with colors of oled TVs.

    I had the C2 for a couple years, but due to unfortunate circumstances I don't have it anymore. I'm in the market for a new TV now, and my budget is lower, but I'm having a REALLY hard time not trying to justify buying another LG OLED. I honestly might get the 42" and just sit closer so I can still have one. The C2 was the best TV I ever owned, without a doubt.

    need some advice. Coming from a 2018 65'" c8. Moving a to a bigger condo (2x the size) corner unit with a lot more sunlight. I don't find my current c8 dim but it could be brighter in sdr. Considering either a 77 G4 or settle for a C4. I use a shield pro to consume my content 95% in SDR. Not sure which one to get but I know i'm loyal to LG.

    • @paulcox2447
      @paulcox2447 22 дня назад

      If brightness is a concern go ahead and get the G4.
      The TV you have and the c-series are honestly basically the same TV
      Sure you're getting "different generation panel", put the changes by the panel manufacturer year to year are very small.
      It essentially be getting the same TV and personally if you're spending $2,000 I'd rather have something with a real improvement and not just better processing
      The g4 has MLA so there's legitimately something that was changed and improved.
      Also idk if you know about the 113111 code, but you can really juice up the look of SDR content using that menu with your shield pro.
      You can make sdr MUCH brighter and more colorful by forcing it into HLG mode.

    I just bought a LG C4 based on this review. Retired our glorious Panasonic 50 in. Plasma. OLED is far superior. There are lots of settings and filmmaker mode seems best. Had issue with Sony Blueray player, filled the screen image with "millions" of fireflys. Discovered a menu on the Blueray player to adjust output to 4K and disable 24p upscaling. Complaint on this is LG is impossible to "register" or accept "terms of service", thus it would not do "over the air" scan, nor authorize the many aps. I had to find a RUclips video to show steps to tweak Wi-fi settings and change DNS, etc. and that worked. I got the 55 inch due to TV placement, and it's a beauty.

    • @Andykev
      @Andykev 18 дней назад

      PS> had I known how the "Web OS" is and the pain in the *** to register or set it up, I would have spend more money on the Bravia 8 or something comparable. I had to tweak my wifi setup at home to lock the tv to just one access point, apparently having three Ubiquiti AP's somehow confused the tv so it kept failing to load aps which can't happen until you sign in and agree to terms which it was almost impossible to do. Otherwise the picture quality is out of this world. Hope the OS improves but I have nothing to compare it to since this is my first new TV in 14 years.

    • @nimblegoat
      @nimblegoat 22 дня назад +1

      you can still increase color volume .Probably without new materials it will be hard for WOLED and QD-OLED to improve their Rec 2020 scores, Both these techs and LCD can produce lovely bright , saturated colors.But it's the hues ( wavelengths ) that are missing. Most content except cartoons, games not affected , unless a TV boosts spread for you, Real life examples really colorful sunsets, rainbows, prisms, emeralds, sapphires, iridescent insect wings, oil spills, some exotic plants and some burning metals .
      So Rec 2020 increases color graduations ie hues, I think violets are hard to reproduce from memory.
      Again made be moot if watch old technicolor movies, or if your color vision is so so. I always find it funny old audiophiles worrying about high treble, when they can't hear it - they are lucky to still hear 16-17000 hertz let alone 22 0000.
      In isolation all these TVs are colorful, you won't know what you are missing, if don't have a S95D right next to be for specific content . LG C series sells well as most people are really happy . Most people also love big screen Hisense. TCL 85' -100" monsters .
      To put it in perspective a C4 if released 3 years ago , would be raved about as the greatest TV ever - no MLA , no QD-OLED . Content has never looked so good , this is the nearly the perfect TV !!!

I am leaning towards the LG Ultragear 32 inch 240 hz 32GS95UE since I found the 48 inch (which was smallest oled you could get at the time) is a bit too big, 42 inch is a little smaller but I feel 32 inch might be more optimal but I am kinda not sure if I should just do the tv or the monitor. The biggest reason I wanted smaller is because of chat windows and ui elements being in corners and having to look around alot more.
