I have LG C4 for about 2 months and I’m happy with it. Well to be honest I’m not a technical person and use it to watch movies, maybe will play on it one day. One thing that disappoints me is sound Quality. I didn’t have Sony TV but I love Sony products and they are very high quality but just very expensive, I heard sound and picture quality by Sony TV’s are amazing.
@mhd6684 I've loved every Sony I've had for sure, the gap in performance is just getting so close now that paying the extra money just doesn't feel as worth it as it used to. I'm a 50/50 split for movies and gaming (gaming is fantastic on the C4, I love it). I honestly don't know what the TV sounds like on its own. I've only ever heard it through my Klipsch "The Sevens" lol.
I was looking up reviews for a new tv to purchase and I came across the review of the C4 you did and I purchased it about a month ago. I must say I can't believe I went all these years without buying a OLED tv. Thank you for these reviews I couldn't be anymore happier with my new TV!
Watching on my 77” S95D, and honestly, I’m so glad that I paid little attention to reviewers that shat on it. It’s an amazing TV and everyone that’s seen it calls it the best TV they’ve watched
I couldn't agree more. I watched all the reviews, heard all the commentary, saw the flaming from the "purist" neckbeards on reddit about what makes a TV good or not, and had an idea of which Sony or LG I was going to buy when I got to the store. All of that changed when I saw the Samsung S95D in person. Seeing the showroom lights glare off of the other screens with the defined edges or rainbow scatter patterns made them all offensive to look at in comparison. Just gross and distracting. I couldn't even focus on the content playing because of the reflections on the other screens. I bought the 77" S95D with absolute confidence and have enjoyed watching all of my favorite shows and movies come to life in a way that makes them feel like I'm seeing it all for the first time. And yes, the black levels are perfect, and it definitely gets brighter than we need it to. F the haters, and for anyone on the fence about the anti-glare on the S95D...just go look at it. You will know the second you lay eyes on it, whether it is the right screen for you.
A couple months ago I've been able to buy a used Panasonic OLED 65 inches JZ1500 (for just 600€, in brand new conditions). I am so satisfied, it was my first OLED ever (besides my iPhone 12 PM, which to me does not count) and boy it is so true that once you go OLED you really can't come back.
I just got the u8n 85". I've spent 100+ hours messing around with HDR/SDR streaming, Xbox/ps5/switch and casting from my phone. Its gorgeous.. and has not had any hiccups thus far (🤞). Ive messed around with the settings but chose to use the "Filmmakers" pre-set until I can find solid calibration settings. Haters gonna hate but in Canada Oled are 2x (up to 3x) the price and its hard pressed to find this quality picture for under $2500. I almost got the qm8 but its literally $500-$1k more than the u8n up here. In the end It's had zero glitches, no dead pixels or faulty dimming zones etc. I literally won the "panel lottery" with my unit and have the maxed out warranty to cover me for years to come. Don't hesitate, its a fantastic tv that can do it all.
Actually, The best deals and prices come in Jan after CES and then in the Spring when the models get released and then they liquidate all the older 2024 models.....that's when you buy.....not now.
About 7 years ago, I wanted a Sony with Picture in picture. It was $1900. Last minute, the TCL 55P something something with HDR, etc went on sale for $450. I bought 2, mounted them both on the wall, one above the other. Half the price, twice the screens, 7 years later they both still work flawlessly... I'm often researching what's available today, but still can't justify spending money on something that I already have and keeps working just fine.
@ I wouldn’t mind, just can’t find one at my local Best Buy. I bought A95L 65” and want to get a 77” TV instead. I can’t afford 77” A95L and was looking for alternatives. The C1 is still legendary. It has the hardware and software for BFI and smooth 120hz gameplay that was taken out in models C2 & beyond. You can also adjust the brightness level along with OLED pixel level that you cannot do in models C2 & beyond. No green tint either...and you still can display gallery photos as wall art too. Love Caleb, and I mean this in a nice way I am not sure you should call the Bravi at nine a QLED TV, it’s an LCD tv, that uses mini LED for a back lighting, and also has quantum dots technology. But the Bravia 9 is still an LCD TV. I do agree with Caleb 100% that the B9 is the greatest LCD TV ever created on earth by humans. I’m not entirely sure what they can do to make it better. bigger and cheaper, that would make it better
Oh, come on now, buddy. You think those LG OLED TVs are a game changer? HA! Don't make me laugh. It can turn my Blu-rays into garbage upscales, just like any other TV out there. And don't get me started on that so called "OLED" technology. It's just a fancy gimmick, nothing more. My brand new Samsung 32 inch class LED smart FHD TV (UN32N53000AFXZA) is miles better, with its good ol' trusty 1080p full HD display.
I Love it!!! I wish you would mention who makes the panels on all TV’s (FYI) Also would be interesting to know where they are Assembled. I’m guessing Mexico for NA…?
I just bought a laser UST projector, the Formovie Theatre Premium. Less eye strain due to indirect light from the CLR screen. And whether i have an 80, 100, 120 or 150 inch screen, the power consumption will be much more economical than LCD, Q-led or O-led 100 or 115 inch screens. There will certainly be disadvantages, but you have those on regular TVs too.
Finally pulled the trigger on a 85 inch Bravia 9. Was considering an OLED, but our lounge gets direct afternoon sun so I think micro led will be better in a bright room.
My understanding and also reviews I’ve viewed state the reliability of Hisense is not very good. Many many Hisense TV’s breaking down within the first year!! You get what you pay for!!
I purchased the S90D 65" and it is excellent. However, my initial experience was disappointing but there is an enhance contrast option which is on by default. This causes 'crushed blacks' were you can't see details in dark areas that aren't black. I turned that off, and now I am happy with the picture.
77” S90D or 83” G4? I could get two of the S90D’s for price of one G4. This is why I’m leaning S90. It’s 2300 out the door. Crazy deal. How much better is the G4? 2x better?
If it's the 77" S90D that has the QD-OLED screen (model number ending in FXZA) instead of the WOLED screen (model number ending in EXZA), then "yes". If not, then the G4 is the way to go.
A lot of major channels like this one seem to be on a major hate campaign against it though. They bash it at every opportunity they have. Yes, it is the most expensive one but there is no comparable product out there on the market. It's the only consumer TV on the market that's capable of bring near-OLED image quality with some of the brightest that (Mini-)LED is capable of. Yes, for complex situations the unoptimized software can make it perform worse in those few situations compared to some other Mini-LEDs, but 99% of the time this one still comes out on top easily. Honestly seems to be a case of OLED fanboys being jealous that a non-OLED TV is so damn close to actually beating the best OLEDs out there on their own ground with the benefits of top-end LED, so in a desperate attempt they try to make this TV look as bad as possible so they can turn away as many consumers as possible, potentially delaying when their 'almighty OLED' is demolished. Anyhow, she there doesn't seem to be any black friday deals on it where I live. Best price for the 85 inch is still €4400 and best for 75 inch is still about €4000. My current ZF9 dropped from €3600 to €1500 in about 6 months. Was hoping the 75 inch one would be going for 3K by now, but I suppose that will not happen for a while.
I believe you got the sizing mixed up between the s90d and s95d around 14:50. The s90d has sizes ranging from 42’ - 83’, whereas the s95d only has 65’ - 77’.
I know a lot of peeps here are AV nerds and may hate me for this but I bought a 65" TCL QM7 for $700+ tax and it's amazing! I think it's better than the QM8 and I have no issues with off-center viewing either. I spent literally hours at Best Buy and Costco looking at the LG C4 and even though OLED colors are better, they're very, very good on the QLED panel. I went with QLED to completely eliminate risk of burn-in because people in my family watch news 24/7.
Hi Caleb, I have my streaming box, laptop, (for RUclips etc.) and dvd player plugged into my receiver with one HDMI to the TV. I have an optical out from the TV to the receiver to listen to live TV. When I have the TV on live TV, how can I get the volume display & tone controls on the TV screen? Especially with volume discrepancies between YT channels, the volume display is a progress bar vs numbers. Hard to guess how loud it's going to be.
The couch in my living room would be around 9-10 inches from the TV, depending on if the TV is wall mounted or not. Would a 65 inch be adequate, or would the next size up, 75 inch, be better or would it be too big?

After watching your reviews for 2 years I’m about to pull the trigger on a Hisense U7n, I’m seriously considering the 100” at Costco because they have a wicked deal that includes 5 total years of coverage and free install. But the model number they have is u70n and the U76n is what all the reviews are on. Is there a difference? Id hate to come this far and get short changed. Thanks in advance.
I bought one of 2023’s top 3 OLED TV’s on sale at Bestbuy in June, thinking back then I would have got a better deal if I held off until Black Friday but didn’t want to wait. Surprisingly the price I got in June was as low as Black Friday sales were. I’m starting to think Black Friday is becoming over rated.
My Hisense ULED TV has the most perfect panel I've ever seen. I would recommend Hisense. Once carefully set-up, the picture and sound on my TV is the best I've ever had. For its price-point, it cannot be bettered! Viewing is a pleasure, and I often marvel at the picture quality! And no, I have no connection to Hisense, other than buying one of their TV's, and a Washing Machine too. Hisense is definitely a brand to watch! EDIT: Having a VA panel, off-angle is not the best. However, in normal viewing, I never notice it.
just finished setting up the A95L a day ago as a warranty replacement for my A9G master series i bought in 2020. out the box A95L is OK but doesn't blow me away its strengths are with film and practical scenes. despite the fact they improved the brightness it still needs a controlled light environment. definitely needs to be tweaked based on content. options are standard, vivid photo/ Imax/ professional/ cinema the most tolerable ones for me are cinema for movies and photo for standard video. does extremely good with HDR 4K content but looks pretty dark for standard 1080p. probably the best of the batch of TV,s thats available however. but you still need to control the lighting in the room to get the best picture experience. should add an important warning for anyone investing a high dollar amount for these sets. Sony has a habit of discontinuing the main boards for these units if they go bad . and that's after 3 years of usage. that means they are not repairable. if you buy one get at least a 5 year repair or replace warranty because chances are that part for that unit won't be available within that time. Made sure i got another 5 year warranty for the AL95 as i suspect parts for this model want be available in the near future

@@mhd6684 you really can’t get great sound on modern tvs. They are too thin. You pretty much need to get a soundbar to get any decent sound.
I'm holding out for the 83" G4. My dream TV!!! I'm hoping to get it early next year.
The reviewers talked shit on it because it’s something new so it’s out the ordinary so they used it as content to talk bad on
I couldn't agree more.
It's nothing compared to the 77inch Bravia 8 oled.
Nice deal! I believe that is the last model they assembled in Europe before they outsourced it to china?
Actually,
The best deals and prices come in Jan after CES and then in the Spring when the models get released and then they liquidate all the older 2024 models.....that's when you buy.....not now.
I agree
Plus, if you wait till mid-January 2025 after CES, that would give you another month or 2 of savings so you could buy a better TV.
Was there a reason why the Bravia 8 was left out from this list? Just want to hear your opinion, love the channel!
Love my 77”Bravia 8.
No clue either, it's hands down better than the C4 for around the same price.
@@drunkhusband6257 That's debatable as the LG C4 has four 2.1 HDMI ports and the Bravia 8 only has two.
Sony Bravia 8 review? Opinion?
I bought the Hisense U8N off the back of your recommendation and I'm not disappointed, it's a great TV
Bravia 8?
B8 is kinda pathetic except for gaming brightness. Get a A80L and be happy!!!
@ I wouldn’t mind, just can’t find one at my local Best Buy. I bought A95L 65” and want to get a 77” TV instead. I can’t afford 77” A95L and was looking for alternatives. I went over to friend’s home who has a Bravia 8 and we spent 3 hours going over different content. Although it’s not QD Oled, I found colours to be great. We bumped Gama to 1 for bit extra and changed few other settings for extra brightness and picture looked amazing. I am not a gamer so I am solely looking for a tv for movies and sports.
@@partizanbgd0113 Yeah, I had the A95L and returned it....not impressed at all. Sony is crazy for selling the A95L and B9 at ridiculous prices......but yet people still pay that Sony tax.
@@partizanbgd0113 I have just bought B8. Did you do a calibration?
Just ordered a brand new 77 inch S95C with free two year warranty from Amazon, for $2377. Can’t wait!
4:15 TCL QM7 is better in my opinion, Hisense has so many problems with QC, so i can't recommend it.
I still like my 77 Inch LG C1 OLED a year old when C2 was available on Black Friday weekend.
I think LG realize they gave too much and made the C1 that good and took away from the C series and then dump better quality into the G series.
I had the C4 and I was not impressed at all....especially the green tint was horrendous!!!!
Best tv ever Sony BRAVIA 9 75” With Bravia 9 soundbar and SW3 sub Absolutely life changing
@@stes3061 I'm sure it has an amazing picture.....but for me, it's unamazing due to OLED pricing. No LCD/LED TV should be priced like premium OLEDs. Enjoy your TV!
In which place would you put samsung the frame? Better than which but lower than which?
Even though I’m not in the market for a new TV, I love the Digital Trends Roundups for the best TVs of the year. Great job, Caleb!
I'm still using two 15 year old LG plasmas. After I took one to my condo in Mammoth (7,000 feet) people told me you can't use plasmas at altitude. Of course it's working fine.
The LG C4 oled comes in 42" as well, not just the 48" mentioned in this video. Just an FYI.
which one would you reccomend the hisense u8n or the samsung s90d
Samsung s90D no brainer
@tracer073 from what I have seen, U8N is a stellar TV for the price.
So Bravia 8 isn’t it for midrange oled?
S90D is much better plus it’s qd oled and way brighter I wouldn’t get the Bravia 8
After watching all these videos, and debating for a whole week, I have decided to stick to my phone to watch stuff.
dont lie lol
I watch movies on my IPad for some reason. Probably just easier to not have to deal with remotes.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Love Caleb, and I mean this in a nice way I am not sure you should call the Bravi at nine a QLED TV, it’s an LCD tv, that uses mini LED for a back lighting, and also has quantum dots technology. But the Bravia 9 is still an LCD TV. I do agree with Caleb 100% that the B9 is the greatest LCD TV ever created on earth by humans. I’m not entirely sure what they can do to make it better. bigger and cheaper, that would make it better
Of the OLeD tvs which ones last the longest? I have LG tv atleast 10 yrs old and still going strong. Do these OLEd. Tvs last more than 5 yrs?
The LG Oled TV’s are an absolute game changer. It’s a reason why it’s on every list.
@@CD-z7d5kstill trolling I see lol
LG fanboys QD OLED is the game changer especially Sony Bravia A95L QD OLED ?
I Love it!!! I wish you would mention who makes the panels on all TV’s (FYI) Also would be interesting to know where they are Assembled. I’m guessing Mexico for NA…?
Are you going to be doing a Bravia 8 review soon?
I’m waiting for my LG G4 to arrive, I’m so excited! Great guide!
Caleb - Why didn't you include Hisense UX in the list (98"). You seemed stunned by it in your review of that
The SONY A95L is a QD-OLED tv. You just said it was a regular OLED tv. Makes a big difference in overall brightness performance.
There will certainly be disadvantages, but you have those on regular TVs too.
there is a big difference between tcl qm8 vs sony bravia 9, is the price 2-3 times higher or is the quality also 2-3 times better?
Finally pulled the trigger on a 85 inch Bravia 9. Was considering an OLED, but our lounge gets direct afternoon sun so I think micro led will be better in a bright room.
My understanding and also reviews I’ve viewed state the reliability of Hisense is not very good. Many many Hisense TV’s breaking down within the first year!! You get what you pay for!!
My 55" U8H has built my confidence in Hisense's reliability. Other than the regular software glitches, it has been really reliable.
My Hisense has made me a fan of the brand. So im getting another when the price is right
I purchased the S90D 65" and it is excellent.
If not, then the G4 is the way to go.
i remember watching the wrap up video of urs in 2023 as well, time flies fast
Does the LG G4 have a 144hz mode when a PC is connected and does it have any draw backs?
Best tv larger than 98 inches or above?
The Sony Bravia 9 is the best for me 🔥👌🏼 My 75” is absolutely incredible 😍
Love the channel! I just picked up a 77” LG G4 for 2300.00 plus taxes on the LG partner store..
6:43 the game changer is the sound for hisense / tcl is closer to the oled blackness
I believe you got the sizing mixed up between the s90d and s95d around 14:50. The s90d has sizes ranging from 42’ - 83’, whereas the s95d only has 65’ - 77’.
got the 65” C3 and loving it
I know a lot of peeps here are AV nerds and may hate me for this but I bought a 65" TCL QM7 for $700+ tax and it's amazing!
LG C-series TVs have been on my wishlist since the C1. Probably the best affordable TV avaliable. If and when I buy, LG C4 is my top pick.
I wouldn't bother. The Sony Bravia 8 is almost exactly the same price and looks better.
85” you won’t regret it! I watch at your same distance and I just got an 85” and it’s awesome 👌🏼
@lpromer4796 that seems very large.
@ that’s what I thought, I live in a small apartment, but once I exchanged a 75” to and 85” I cannot go back to anything smaller. It’ll probably take you couple of days to get used to, but you’ll love it for sure. You’ll never regret to go larger. They are pretty good deals for 85” TVS this weekend
@@lpromer4796 I might wait until after CES in January. There are supposedly great deals around then.
@@lpromer4796 I was thinking about waiting until after CES in January. I hear that is when the best prices happen. Even better than Black Friday.
I still have my Panasonic VT55 Plasma TV and love it but I will be taking the plunge and buying the S90D next week.
Who is better lg c4 or lg g3
Where would you find a Panasonic tv?
My Hisense ULED TV has the most perfect panel I've ever seen. I would recommend Hisense. Once carefully set-up, the picture and sound on my TV is the best I've ever had. For its price-point, it cannot be bettered! Viewing is a pleasure, and I often marvel at the picture quality!
And no, I have no connection to Hisense, other than buying one of their TV's, and a Washing Machine too. Hisense is definitely a brand to watch!
EDIT: Having a VA panel, off-angle is not the best. However, in normal viewing, I never notice it.
I bought 65 inch of Samsung QN 90D, three months ago in Aug 2024, screen has some issue observed yesterday.
Like a burn mark which is not black.
The screen uniformity issues on the QN90D are very disappointing. This is what led me to return my 55" unit a few weeks back.
Lg qned 8k mini led. Are they better than a c4 for instance?
picked up a 65 c4 for 1349. Couldnt justify the extra 700+ for the g4. But the g4 is a beast, saw it in the store next to the c4.
Which one is better qled or oled??
just finished setting up the A95L a day ago as a warranty replacement for my A9G master series i bought in 2020. out the box A95L is OK but doesn't blow me away its strengths are with film and practical scenes. despite the fact they improved the brightness it still needs a controlled light environment. definitely needs to be tweaked based on content. options are standard, vivid photo/ Imax/ professional/ cinema the most tolerable ones for me are cinema for movies and photo for standard video. does extremely good with HDR 4K content but looks pretty dark for standard 1080p. probably the best of the batch of TV,s thats available however. but you still need to control the lighting in the room to get the best picture experience. should add an important warning for anyone investing a high dollar amount for these sets.
The Panasonic offerings need to come in larger than 65” options. I was waiting on an 82” Sony a95L - would buy a 77” Panasonic z95A today if it was available.
Question.: I have a 4 year old Sony oled TV. Would I be downgrading image quality if I go with one of the best qled tvs. I want to get a 85", but oled are just too expensive on that size. Thank you.
Hey there enjoy the channel! My wife and I are building a house next year and so im wanting a really nice TV for the living room. Family movies, Sport games, people over entertainment! The two i was looking at were the 77" Samsung S95C and 75" Samsung QN900C . Do OLEDs make for good Living room tvs if they are on alot? I am a Big fan of Samsung products, thanks for any help and suggestions!
How does the X90L hold up in 2024?
Thanks for this detailed review yes I want a great picture and sound but I wish there was information on reliability reports for each TV, I would be so disappointed if I bought a beautiful expensive tv that had reliability issues. Consumer Reports information is usually behind what is currently being offered. I am afraid if I purchase Hisense or TCL I will have problems.
For someone who mostly watches movies and sports but also does a bit of gaming, would the Oled C4 be better than a Qled U7N?
Hi! Can you make a video with best TV to mount on the wall? Such as LG G class or samsung the frame etc. It’s hard to find the info on how thin the tv is when buying online. What are the pros and cons (ex the frame having outside unit etc)
Picked up a 65" LG G5 about a month ago and God damn I love that TV. It looks amazing streaming content from my google tv streamer, and it looks awesome when I play my PS5 Pro & Xbox Series X. Absolutely no regrets.

The Bravia 9 was bought almost 5 months ago; my family have loved it ever since.
I will most likely be getting the LG C4 in the master bedroom on Black Friday.
I love my Sony Bravia B9 75 inch, have it in my bedroom 😂
65" S90C for $999 was shocking to me and I haven't seen a deal since that has made me regret picking one up.
I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm upgrading from a 5 year old TCL. I'm wanting to get the best for the money. I also use Roku. I'm looking at the Hisense 65 u6n, $499, u7n, $699 or the u8n, $899. Be aware that some sizes of the Samsung S90D comes with a WRGB OLED panel instead of a QD-OLED, depending on which market you are in. The WRGB is no slouch either, and is comparable to the panel in the LG C4, but if you want the S90D for its color performance, make sure it is a QD-OLED panel.
I found a 65 inch s90c for only 999. Its 2023 model, for that price and first oled tv . Glad I was able to find that sale great tv.

83 inch c4 or Samsung s90d?
LG has been manufacturing OLEDS consecutively the longest. I would wager they have their stuff together by now.
Any QD-OLED S90D will be better than a C4.
@@jeffreymorgan1334 at 83 inches in size the Samsung S90D will not be QD-OLED.
