Can you make an update on this video. This video is very helpful but unfortunately its outdated too.
Hi
When are you going to update this comptia a+ course to the current version ? Its been 6 yrs !
Same question for the comptia network +. !
Also any chance doing 9ne for comptia a+ software module 1102 ?
Iam sure there will be many people lined up to purchase the e book for this.
Hey Power. Do you have an updated version of the CompTia NET+ preparation?

Master Shadow Thanx soo much bro!!!
your a fucking legend
God bless you!
Thank you!
yasmine farhat YASSS THANK YA JESUS!
Just a quick testament. Passed my 901 today with a 750+ score. Just like Robert Lewis I pretty much used THIS video, as well as a mix of professor messer's videos, practice tests and notecards from crucialexams AND examcompass. I felt a very good grasp on the material and even though they word the test questions in a tricky manner, pulled through with relative ease. Never had any IT experience OR courses in my life, took me about 2 weeks spending about 4-5 hours a day from nothing. I used this video more than anything else. Thank you very much for the free and valuable content.
what about 902??
Did you get a job in IT yet? Just asking because I don't have any experience, and I'm studying for the A+ so I can start a career in IT.
Were you able to find a job in the IT field from just this certification?
I would love for people to let me know an order to go in with. Start with A+ or what? Knowledge or a direction to point me in would be nice. I just see so many different certificates and many people saying take this or that first.
Blue cow g
Please do an updated version of this for the 1101 and 1102 series. I love this channel!
Yes please!
I was wondering if there was a plan for the new test?
Thank you for saying that
Yes please!! That would be gteat
This is my Bachelors Degree in Information Systems in 4 hours...
What were we thinking?
HAHA!
Is there really no more content?
ANd I waste $50k in a BS degree in IT instead of youtube...fucking shcool is garbage lol
Really? I'm almost to the end of my associates in CIS and my program has been programming heavy: Java or C++/JavaScript/SQL.... also system design courses. They hardly talk about these things in the video. We only have one networking class required.
No college. Just RUclips. This saved me $70k
Are you certified?
congratulations
Did you find a IT job?
You have questions to answer
@@locumania hopefully it's because she's too busy doing her job that she's not answering them lol
This is 2 generations old but it still covers 85% of everything you need to know
Good to know👌
how would you say I could cover the missing 15%
@@anahicarrasco2538 There are multiple cheap and free sources out there to where you can get the information you need. This VIDEO Course is just good for Reference from a VISUAL perspective. You still need to study more information separately that pertains to the A+ 1101 and 1102 Exam objectives. The Visual Concepts in this are similar but there are specific things you need to study outside of just visualizing how things work.
I would not recommend studying anything from the Previous exams since the current Exams relate to Windows 10 and 11 (Not Windows XP, 7, and 8). Good luck!
This is literally cisco's A+ training course that I took in a college class. Except, this video is much easier to understand without having to look at paragraphs crammed with information. The bullet points cover the main idea for each concept, making it much easier to understand and remember. Just goes to show, how much a degree is not needed for the IT field. Literally, you can self-study for all the exams and change your life forever.
Doesn't hurt to have the certificates and a degree
Can you grow in a company without a degree?
@@greenerdays999 only to a certain point
What online course would you recommend for a beginner, who knows just basics in using a computer (20 yrs or so). Have heard the lingo off and on but other than doing system restore or trying to remove malware with removal programs I'm pretty simple in my knowledge. Looking at Comptia, Coursera and a few highly rated teachers on Udemy. Paying for this on my own. Looking for a new career after years of factory and medical industries.
@@_RRStudio CompTIA is the industry standard unless you want to work at Microsoft, which has their own certification programs (they’re all equal pretty much so you can mix & match)
I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! I took my 901 today and passed with a score of 820! My background: freelance IT
Here's what I did:
1. Watch this video 1 time over the course of 3 days
2. Make about 100 flash cards on things I didn't know / was fuzzy about
3. Quiz myself on all of the flash cards 3 times in order, then randomize about 30 to spot test knowledge
4. Take about 4-5 different practice tests (25-100 Q's each) and scored about 75-90%
5. Take the real 901 exam and pass with flying colors
6. Comment on here to celebrate and say thank you!
7. Wish that you had 902 training as well, but survive with the Messer videos as an alternative
8.
9. Profit?
Thanks again, you rock!!
what did you do on freelance it
Where did you take the test
Where did you take it?
TheGeneralReview what videos from professor messer did you watch???
Where did you take test and cost please?
Man let me tell you something, normally i don't leave any comments in RUclips videos at all, But you make me leave a comment to tell you Thank you so so much for this video and God bless you. I really appreciate your time and work.
Thank you!
Really? I am going to go take the test tomorrow morning and I am getting nervous. I took Comptia's practice questions and they were absolutly the easiest questions I have ever seen but then I went online and checked out some more practice questions and some of them I had no idea. Usually network question and some out of date hardware stuff. Am I over thinking it? I am 1 hour into the video and so far everything has just been review. Will I be ok? what I am most worried about is the simulation part of the test or the command prompt section
Ed Martinez how did u do?

I literally just passed 901 30 minutes ago because of this video!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
icesiriwong congratulations what should I study ?
where can i take the 901 test?
icesiriwong did you read any books such as Mike Meyers all in one,and you have experience in the field prior to taking the test??
Hey bro honestly though how many times did you watch this in order to confidently pass it??
Eric Smith ditto question!!
Imagine going to college for IT, spending thousands upon thousands of dollars for two IT degrees only to be told that you still aren't qualified enough because you haven't taken a 200 dollar multiple choice test. Thanks for changing my life COMPTIA:)
Totally agree man.
For anyone interested in this exam or just learning about computers in general: One thing I strongly recommend is to practice on a real computer. Hands-on experience is important just as learning the theory behind this. You don't need any fancy computer for this. And it doesn't even need to be functional; bonus points if you can get it to work. Pretty much any used computer you can find will be good for learning.
Fantastic advice. That's how I learned. Taking apart a computer and putting it back together.
Thank you!
Ehh this makes sense only to an extent. You gotta imagine how many technologies, configurations, and other external devices you have to play with to learn them well. You’ll need more than a single computer to learn everything hands on as exampled in this exam.
Just getting started thank you for your input!!
Ehh... I'm not trying to be a AMD shill, but the AM4 (dead platform now, I know) socket is probably much safer for your purpose than a Intel LGA 7XX socket. AM4's PGA is much more forgiving in the sense of durability. With LGAs: you bend a foil-sized conductor, you basically kill the motherboard (unless you can CAREFULLY bend the connector back in place).
Word of advice: the new AM5 is a LGA, so be careful when installing AM5 CPUs.
I cant get over how much detail goes into your animations and how smooth they are
I passed my 901 with pretty much this
Nice! Congrats.
Really?? Congrats man! I'm going to study the video and also purchase the book that's recommended.
Robert, what else did you use to prepare? What didn't this video provide? Thanks!
First question how to hook up a home network like the guys from Verizon. Well a bit more. Book (MGM Comptia a+ 901) It will be like connect the dots and put everything in place then set up security protocals and wirless protocalls. SSID broadcasting and VPN. How to hide the SSID (don't broadcast the SSID. First question.
oh really, how many times did you watch it before it sank in?
Thank you so much!! Im officially A+ certified, thank you from someone with no prior knowledge and experience in IT, i appreciate all your help!
Congrats!
I really love the animations. They make this whole experience more bearable.
well i am doing my 220-1001 and 2 my eyes are just tearing that this human being can take his time do this work and load it on youtube for folks like us. I just got my CCNA and pushing this before the year ends. Your vidz are still relevant the simplicity and contrast you making to teach these technologies -i've never seen this no where. i want to buy one of your courses as a thank you. or a donation.
best 4 hours you can spend watching and won't regret. Great video!!!
220-902 video please. This video is great, I'm learning stuff I didn't learn in an actual college course (how surprising).

Seriously, this is great.
this channel is a serious gem for autodidacts. you have a magic power for communicating things that most people find intimidating
I rarely ever leave comments on videos. Ive watch a good amount to try and stay up to date on things but this is probably the best Ive ever came across. Thanks for your time and great work
Just passed with 675 (min passing score)-watched this video all the way through once, then listened to it in the background to and from work and while playing video games the weeks prior to exam.
So probably once all the way through with full attention, then maybe twice again, but in 30 minute snippets and only background attention.
funny enough.. this was the exact idea I planned to use before seeing your comment. I'm glad you passed. asides this, do you have any extra recommendations? I will appreciate!
@@width19 I strongly suggest practicing on a real PC. It doesn't need to be fancy or even functional. Bonus points if you can get it to work. Having a certification is great, but hands-on experience is invaluable. Even if it doesn't directly help you for the exam, it can help having that hands on knowledge for entry-level IT jobs.
Wait! Seriously though, you only used this video to pass? Woah congrats man!
You're a master at explaining complex material in the simplest form. Thank You!
Finally finished this beast of a video. 30 Pages of Notes. My hand hurts. . .
OH WELL
TIME TO READ IT ALL OVER AGAIN
Thank you for this. I just made a career jump to IT and this video (also your Network+) has taught me so much. I look forward to watching many more of your videos!♥
I like how the ending of the four hour video is lightning striking the computer which then catches on fire. Similar to how a musician will play a four hour set and then smash their guitar.
These videos are amazing!! I have read and watched other resources, but this simple explanation coupled with the animation makes it more understandable. Thank you for making these videos!!!
This is excellent. I’d love an updated version for the A+ 1001 and 1002, although most of this is still very helpful and fundamental. Thank you.
I feel like it's outdated, 5 years is an eternity in tech. Can I still pass the exam with this or have questions changed?
@@tnix80 I'm curious about this as well. I have to imagine the large majority of hardware, software, & troubleshooting methods are all still very relevant
I was told NOT to study an outdated version.
It's should all cover the typical same stuff... It's all comp basics... Anything else you can learn yourself somewhere else... But this definitely should get you ready and prepped
Have you found any other good resources yet?
"A space ship may be blocking the satellite"
I'm sure to pass now
Thank you for the video
Great Video! I've been working in IT for 5 years now. These videos are great knowledge refreshers!
I've put this on loop for my dog.
He will know so much about computers
Like Tanner said, I've learned what I NEEDED to know here in 4 hours, much more than I did 4 years at a Uni. That is a serious problem in our education system. Too much , no pun intended, "junk data". ;-) Thank you so much for this! I didn't have to spent $2000 on some course! I'm donating if you allow it!

Oh yeah
They do that even at the physics level
They give you such a broad spectrum to study you need to go past Masters to be applicable in the national labs

I just watched this video in its entirety last night. It definitely helped me a lot, esp in understanding IP addresses and networking in general (more than the bigger names suggested for resources), and I passed my 1001 exam (already passed 1002 so I'm A+ certified). Thank you so much!

I watched Prof. Messer and Mike Meyers. They all gave me great information. However, this video worked even better to wrap up what I've learned. Maybe it was because of the graphics or the way it didn't overwhelm me with information. Either way, great job!
Awesome stuff man! I have learned more in two hours of your video than in 3 days of reading. I'm more of a visual learner, and the way you lay out stuff it's just amazing! Would love to see a 902 video, but at the same time I understand it takes a lot of time to make such great content. Thank you!!

I’m not even in college yet I watched the entire thing because I find it fascinating!
It surprises me how much of this I know, just from building and growing up with PCs. It's also strange seeing this at the end of 2019. Where RAM now has DDR4 and graphics cards are using DDR5.
6:38 In 2020, there are now USB-3 and USB-C Hub Adapter that are brand independent and allow for multiple monitors and keyboard, mouse, and even have an ethernet jack. This may or may not be allowed with your government-furnished equipment GFE. And wireless peripherals are not allowed either with GFE.

Do we have practical as part of the exam?
Issa Gure I won't really call it practical, they call it performance based or simulation....I remember in my exam, they asked me to build pc for home theatre and another one for video editing. So they will give you the components and all I had to do was drag and drop. Nothing to worry about.
And don't let prof Messer's video discourage you, keep watching it plus this video and you will be fine.
I'm currently watching his videos for my 220-902.
I wish you all the best.

1000th comment here. This is very well done. You provide extra info that I haven't heard elsewhere in other courses. 902 pleasssseeeeeee
+JAxis Computer Repairs it went great! I passed! Thank you!
I received A LOT of troubleshooting questions, which is understandable because hardware and troubleshooting techniques are both the biggest portions on the test. I also received many printer, RAID, and networking questions. Know your ports. My study materials was cbtnugget videos and any practice test I could find on the internet. This link has the BEST practice test and simulations. I even had one of them on my test. comptiaexamtest.com/
Congrats! planning on taking mine soon.
Hey honestly though how many times did you watch this in order to confidently pass it??
@@JojosGems thank you for the link. Planning on taking the test later in a few weeks.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I knew pretty much everything in the video.
Sounds like I need to start completing some certifications, thank you for the video!
This video helped me get certified before the deadline, thank you!
Love the vid. Looking forward to passing the A+ cert exam.
Just passed the 901. I watched this video 2x right before. Take notes on the ports. A couple RAID questions.
Will Ayotte any experience prior. I have knowledge of printers due to my frild of work but not so much as the other stuff. Please share your preparations, resources, experience, and questions asked on the test of you can. J be been studying this month and have a long way to go
I do have experience, as I currently work an as Point of Sale installer. Although the A+ is more detailed. This is the most comprehensive and straight to the point training. I used this with Mike Meyers 901 training course on Udemy.com ($10) and passed. Mike Meyers also has a practice test on Udemy, I always wait for the $10 sales before I buy.
1.Mike Meyers 901 "A+ the total course"
2.Mike Meyers 901 practice exams
3. This Video.
I recommend finishing Mike Meyers course in 5 days. Watching this video straight through 2x before the test and you will be fine.
The first question I had was "Match the ports"
Http -80
SSH-22
FTP-21 and 22
HTTPS-443
IPOP- 110
5 questions about RAID arrays I was not super confident on.
Questions vary from test to test but there you go!
Nice. Congrats!
Will Ayotte thanks man and congrats. Hope to follow behind you soon
After I pass my exam, I'm going to come back and put a fat tip in that tip jar.
Wow, visually aesthetic! This is fantastic for a visual learner such as myself.
Still the best source I've come across. Find myself coming here over and over.
This video is beyond amazing. The video animations are so much easier to follow relative to the study books for the CompTIA A+. Will you have an equally excellent video going over the 220-902 exam coming soon?? I SURE HOPE SO. IT WOULD BE LIFE CHANGING
Thank you. I might do the 902, not sure yet.
