I seriously have to watch every videos Caleb makes. He is so precise and makes shopping for a tv so easy. I trust everything he says. Another awesome year and can’t wait for the next years tvs to come out for you to review.
Got the A95L on your recommendation. It's absolutely stunning and insanely bright. I'm rewatching older content as it seems to do magic to them. I'm truly impressed..
I have an A80J and it is without a doubt an incredible, incredibly TV. Aside from the obvious OLED goodness, I cannot overstate how good Sony's upscaling is, you can still buy/watch 1080p content and it's nearly just as stunning as native 4k content.
This is a great recommendation. If you basically open your tv from morning to night, watching news, play games, watch movies, and simply leave it on for background noise, qleds are a good choice. And the recent ones are so good, you only miss out on the infinite contrast which is not a big deal to most.
I got the g3 and upgrated my c2. Wow huge difference and I just cant get over how good it looks. The only knock is the remote. For this much money the remote should be alot nicer.
I bought a G3 77" two months ago (got lucky with a price match) and very happy with it. WOW it looks great. I have it mounted using the built in bracket which looks AMAZING! I wish it was the 83", but wanted the brighter MLA panel. The only thing that I think is ridiculous, for a top tier OLED the remote is fine, I got used to it and now like the feel, but, it should light up. My bedroom TV Sony A90L remote lights up, (best TV remote on the planet) the G3 should light up the same way, by movement.
Picked up a 75' Sony X90L and love it. I could have spent much more but for my gaming needs and sports watching it seems to be great! 4k content looks incredible! I simply cannot believe it.
@@sameerkhatri588 I don't like neither tizen nor webOS, android/Google TV is the best for my use... Also I don't game that much so I don't need all those gaming features...
I got the Sony a75L coming this Monday, 200 less dollars then the a80L which has the same panel, it’s just missing the onboard microphone on the tv itself, the remote still has one, and a third speaker in the center of the tv, that’s it, it just came out a month a go and has really gone under the radar, even better value than than the c3 with superior upscaling technology
I just got the 55 A80L and am loving it! You are right, the A75L has just a couple of minor differences. The picture and processing are the same! You bought a great TV!
You make great videos and helped me decide on getting the 77" S90C. I would however like it if you ditched the static logo at the bottom of your videos, I don't want to risk burn in on the new TV. Lol.
Great list, Caleb! I'm looking forward to that Sony A95L vs. other OLEDs video. Also, this video just showed why I'm buying a Sony BRAVIA TV soon: The XR Processor.

Great info. 🙂 If I was buying today, I would choose the Sony X90L. My current TV is an LG E8 OLED from 2018, and a best friend of mine has the Sony X900, which is the predecessor to the X90. Honestly, I like the X900 just as much or more than the E8. So, based on my limited sample set, the X90L is a really great choice as far as an excellent looking TV for a decent price to size.
G4 is not as much improvement in brightness as the G3 was, better processing but probably still inferior to Sony, plus the G4 LOSES ATSC 3.0 down to ATSC 1.0 if you care about over the air 4k
OH, man! I turn on CNBC when I wake up in the morning and it's on my tv until after the stock market closes with the tickers running across the bottom the entire time. I was going to buy an OLED now I don't know what to get now. THANK YOU FOR THAT INFO!

I won't lie that I'm not sure if what I want is a high performance QLED or a low performance OLED and the price varies significantly from one to another.
Hi! Great review. How much of a step down is the A80 L compared to A95 L. Is it worth the price increase to go for the A95 L or does not make much difference compared to the A 80L? Thanks 🙏
I currently have a 65" 4k LED, purchased in 2017. I was looking into OLEDs but was steered away from them due to the fact that I have a bright family room with lots of natural light. Instead I was directed towards a mini LED, specifically the X93L for the brighter picture and anti glare tech. Was just wondering your thoughts on this TV? 75" is probably the biggest I would like to go for both size and price point. Thanks!
I picked up the U75k from Costco on the strength of a few reviews with your review being the one to push me over the edge. But I have to admit I'm not impressed with the SDR nor 1080 content displayed on this. This is replacing a 50" Pioneer Elite plasma and the image isn't as sharp. I currently have two LG Oleds and had the plasma. I knew going in that it wouldn't measure up to the Oleds but I didn't think the gap would be as wide as it is from the way reviewers are raving about this. And I get with the plasma being native 1080p with this stepping down to 1080 I may take some hit but this is pretty big. How do I get this thing to perform better with 1080 sources and yet have the good 4K performance when needed. Also noticed I need to drop the black level out the box with this set. Any help would be appreciated.
This video was amazingly helpful and had perfect timing! I'm looking for strictly 55" TVs and couldn't find the Sony X95L in that size. Do you have 55 inch recommendations for premium Sony TVs? It won't be used for gaming, but it is going to sit in a very bright room so I'm looking for QLEDs. Thanks!!!
I've finally decided on going with a Sony. I had my mind set on a 75" X90L but a friend suggested I drop down in size to a 65" and go for the A80L. Quality over quantity? Thoughts?
Thanks for all of these suggestions. I have had the OLED B7 from LG that came out in 2017. Just sold that TV and am again in the market for a new TV since I am moving. I feel like, for the price, that LG OLED C3 65in might be the best bang for the buck.
So Sony x90l in 75 inch is a $100 more at Best Buy than qm8 75 and $200 more than u8k 75. What should I do? Are Hisense and tcl really OLED like or is Sonys processing still better than black levels of mini LEDs?
HEY WOW GREAT VIDEO MAN 👍👍👍 I HAVE THE SONY A80K IN MY LIVINGROOM NOW BUT I WANT TO MOVE IT TO THE BEDROOM AND WANT THE SONY A95L BUT I DO WATCH TV FOR HOURS AT A TIME SOMETIMES LIKE ALL DAY WOULD THE A95L BE GOOD FOR ME ??? Or wat do u recommend for me in oled???
I couldn't pass up the S90C 77" AAA discounted $2000 deal (plus free 2 year warranty, $350 value, plus various cashback). Swapped my 85 QN90A in my bedroom for it. Such an insane value for any 77" oled nevertheless a gen 2 samsung QDOLED panel.
I bought a Samsung au7000 works good great picture and all that 65 inch TCL, I had a 55 inch lasted three years and the screen went bad no audio either it just stopped
Just bought the Samsung QN90C to replace my older Samsung. I wanted a tv that was better for gaming. It's amazing how much better the picture looks while watching movies and streaming. And I bought a new sound bar the Samsung HW-S60B 5.0 ch awesome sound bar!
Thanks for some great reviews & info over the year. I presently have a Sony 55”A1 4K OLED TV bought in 2016 and I am thinking about getting around to updating it to a 65” A95L. But your Japan report gave me pause for thought as to whether I should hold off for a year or so for whatever Sony “has in the works” (to quote you). The A1 is still a very nice piece of tech, but due to the poor reception in overbuilt downtown Melbourne, I mainly use it with my (newest version) 4K Apple TV device. So it’s not like I have to move urgently. Whatever I do get will mainly be used for streaming as free to air reception here is not going to improve in the foreseeable future and high speed optical cable is available. So what do you advise? Make the jump to the A95L now or hang back to wait and see what’s in the pipeline? Cheers Jim
I did order 77” Philips 908 because of ambilight and cheaper than G3 price and a tabletop stand! Using same mla panel and looking reviews it is close enough G3 and Panasonic that it did make sense. Mostly for european customers though. And when best/most deep reviews were in France and Germany… i was really happy that automatic translators are really good now a days! 😂
*I am in love with my TCL Q7 I just got. at 55inch , it blows away the U8K , which had horrible veiwing angle with washed out sided even when directly in front of it, and horrible VRR bugs/crashes.*
Hi. I’m planning on buying an OLED (LG G2 97”), and wanted some advice. We use the TV for 8-10 hours a day, with multiple people in the house. Channels with the fixed info bars like CNN and ESPN are watched very very little though. What is watched is a combination of cable channels with a fixed channel logo and streaming services without any logo. Would OLED be fine for this usage?
The link you have for the Sony X95L links to an 85 inch, XR85X95L. I’ve tried searching for a 65 inch using ‘Sony XR65X95L’ but can NOT locate this model in a 65inch. What is the correct model for the 65 inch X95L? Does Sony make this model in a 65in size?
Excellent compilation of the best TVs this year! So thoughtful, thorough, and yet fun! Great job! Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving, if you are looking at comments!!🥰🎉❤️
@@LeezahB so expensive, but I upgraded in quality and size from a 65" C2 to this. However...yeah it's a completely different experience. It's difficult to really articulate.

Hi Caleb! Need your guidance... I am stuck between these 3 options- Sony A80L, Sony X90L & LG C3.... As i saw the performance of C3 on the shop it was very poor as compare to sony models. I was not able to believe that LG's quality can be so poor... Whether the differences in clarity, sound, processing,,, everything was so downgraded. Am i mistaken??? Kindly guide...
Purchased the Hisense U7 as my first TV as a 22-year old student for my home cinema. Amazing quality. But got minor water damage due to a window left open during rain. Quality is luckily still there but now I have some stripes in the bottom left corner (barely visible though) which can be annoying. Now I really want a Sony A80L (or even A95L). Am thinking about sucking it up with the Hisense for a few years and saving in the meantime for the best Sony TV at that time. Is that a good idea?
I've never liked the smart TV interfaces and have always used my Apple TV. Is an OLED good for this use case and how about sports on OLED? I don't run a TV all Day, but may run it for a couple of games back to back, say 6 to 8 hours. Is that a problem with OLED? Thank you Caleb and Digital Trends. I honestly just deep dived TVs and components for the last three hours. AMAZING information and detail, thank you, thank you, thank you!
I’m very happy with my purchase and the picture. Pretty much everything until the other day when my IR Sensor went and I can not turn on the TV. I can’t get to the home screen either. I am able to turn it on via my Firestick but can not change sources unless I physically change ports. That’s all OK. The huge problem I have is there are no replacement parts ANYWHERE, I mean anywhere that says it’s compatible with this tv
I need your help and advice as well and along the same line as the comment just posted previously. I was going to pull the trigger on the Samsung QN90C 83” that you recommended as your second top QLED 4K TV when I too was bewitched by the Hisense 100“ U8 4K TV that just came up for sale for just a couple hundred bucks more than the Samsung QN90C 83”. With the hopes of streamlining your thought process for your recommendation, let’s assume both TVs are priced equally and take that out of the equation - so then comparing QLED to QLED the question becomes very simple & clear: Do you feel that giving in to the 17 extra inches of “wow” factor that the Hisense offers is worth giving up the higher level picture quality that the Samsung offers. I write “giving in” not only because it obviously sounds ridiculous out of context, but because I am actually giving in to something I never considered. I never thought of buying a Hisense TV until this one was offered, because although I always prided myself as a connoisseur of picture quality I, evidently, am also vain enough to want to be the only house in my neighborhood with the 100 inch QLED. Is the increase in size worth the decrease in picture quality?
LG G3 OLED vs Sony A80L OLED 83 INCH MODELS. I can't decide on which TV to purchase. I am putting this in my living room that has 20 ft ceilings and only windows that are up about 15-17ft high. The room is brighter in the day but the sunlight never hits the wall where we plan to mount the TV. We as a family only watch TV at night (streaming) and very minimal gaming. We stream and watch movies with the Sonos Arc, Eras 300's and Sonos Sub Gen2. Which model is best in your professional opinion and why ? I feel like I'm splitting hairs on this decision but the only difference for us is that the G3 (83" does not include the MLA technology) is brighter than the Sony A80L. Appreciate the help.
Hi Please can you let me know your opinion on how reliable the Hisense range of tv's are ,as looking at reviews on Amazon lots of people who have purchased are reporting problems with the Hisense tv such as u7k which i was hoping to purchase after seeing your review,
I just got the qm8 85" because it was $500 less than the hisense at that size (March 18, 2024 sale pricing) At 75" they were identically priced and maybe would have went hisense
So im in the market for a 55 inch TV I’m torn between two in the sub $300 range… Hisense A76K or TCL Q5… what’s your take on those and which one of the two would you recommend?
Sony I just got a Sony today but I'm literally trading it in a few days for the Sony newest version mini oled😂😂 couldn't wait I haven't bought a TV in years(was 75 samsung) I bought the Sony XR77A80L

Just purchased my first OLED last night, 77” C3
I just got LG C4, 65”. Should I pay $500 CAD extra for 4 yr warranty?😮 thank you
This video was amazingly helpful and had perfect timing! I'm looking for strictly 55" TVs and couldn't find the Sony X95L in that size. Do you have 55 inch recommendations for premium Sony TVs? It won't be used for gaming, but it is going to sit in a very bright room so I'm looking for QLEDs. Thanks!!!
Got myself the Sony A75L for $1500
My first OLED I'm loving it no regrets. Upgrade from an older LED Sony TV
I was wondering what would be a better choice TV for a darker room, either LG C3 oled, Sony A80L oled, or Samsung S90C oled?
I've finally decided on going with a Sony. I had my mind set on a 75" X90L but a friend suggested I drop down in size to a 65" and go for the A80L. Quality over quantity? Thoughts?
Thanks for all of these suggestions. I have had the OLED B7 from LG that came out in 2017. Just sold that TV and am again in the market for a new TV since I am moving. I feel like, for the price, that LG OLED C3 65in might be the best bang for the buck.
This was probably the most understandable and well stated videos I have watched in a long time. Cudo’s and thank you!
I did the same thing. QN90A for the S90C. What a difference in picture quality. I love my S90C.
Nice man. I'm buying the QN90C as well this year....85" size. Cannot wait. I can get it directly from Samsung for $2080.
Hello from Nigeria. You're simply the best reviewer in the world.
Will I see improvement with a new tv if I still get only 1080i resolution with Dish Network?
What tv to type of tv is best for not getting the shadow like corners and sides? Anyone have help for this?
What is your view of the Panasonic range?
Hello Caleb , when are you going to review the Samsung S90c?
😂
Was it worth it?
Which model should I prefer to buy
Sony bravia 9 2024 model or bravia 65 A95L
thank you
*I am in love with my TCL Q7 I just got. at 55inch , it blows away the U8K , which had horrible veiwing angle with washed out sided even when directly in front of it, and horrible VRR bugs/crashes.*
Just bought a Sony 65” A90J OLED for Black Friday, and it is amazing 🔥🔥 Got it from Walmart for a crazy price! 🤯
Which TV to buy! TCL QM8 or Sony x90l! Both 900 at the moment! I watch mainly sports and movies also some youtube videos!
Excellent compilation of the best TVs this year! So thoughtful, thorough, and yet fun! Great job! Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving, if you are looking at comments!!🥰🎉❤️
I got me the 65 LG-G3 and is amazing
Got my 77" A95L ayyyye!
Congrats!! How do you like it?
@@LeezahB so expensive, but I upgraded in quality and size from a 65" C2 to this. However...yeah it's a completely different experience. It's difficult to really articulate.
@@tripledair It’s an amazing TV. Next time hopefully I have the funds for a 77inch TV!
He is saying that OLED TV’s are not good for long time using? I’m a gamer and I like watching tv most of the time. It’s means my tv is always on all the time. So what should I get then?
Qled
Qled, mini led, (good) conventional IPS
My 2019 LG OLED color is shot and I’m here looking for LED reviews.

@Elite_Fumbles101we are talking about TVs. Worry about yourself.
I picked up a 65" C2 at the beginning of the year and I could not be happier.
Is the Sony x90l better than the lg 65qned80?
Do you see the Sony A95L 77 inch coming down in price. Still holding at 4999.00. Next best LG G3. Is 3400.00.
What would be the best 43” tv for a spare bedroom? I’m looking for quality, longevity and price
Should i go for 65inch sony x90L or Samsung qn90c getting both in same price and i mostly consume OTT Content
What would be better, the Sony 90L or the samsung QN90C? Thanks
What model is the first white TV with the black stands?🥰
I’m very happy with my purchase and the picture. Pretty much everything until the other day when my IR Sensor went and I can not turn on the TV. I can’t get to the home screen either. I am able to turn it on via my Firestick but can not change sources unless I physically change ports. That’s all OK. The huge problem I have is there are no replacement parts ANYWHERE, I mean anywhere that says it’s compatible with this tv
Hello. I'm finally able toget a new TV after 6 years. Well I really want the U8K. Would the U7k be a good settle?.
Should i get a sony projector are a sony 98" Tv for my 14X17X8 theater room I am building ?
We were looking for a new gaming 65" TV and watched u. Can't thank u enough went with the Sony 80l which is awesome love it thank u again ❤
So im in the market for a 55 inch TV I’m torn between two in the sub $300 range… Hisense A76K or TCL Q5… what’s your take on those and which one of the two would you recommend?
What is a better TV to buy the sony x90l or the Samsung Q90c thanks
Sony I just got a Sony today but I'm literally trading it in a few days for the Sony newest version mini oled😂😂 couldn't wait I haven't bought a TV in years(was 75 samsung) I bought the Sony XR77A80L
What would you choose? 2023 Samsung S90C 77" or 2024 Hisense U8N 75" or Hisense U9N 75"?
I had 2 Panasonic Plasma TVs and had no issues. 1 LG OLED and inside 3 years I have screen burn.
Are LEDs completely safe from screen burn? Pretty fcuked off with the LG tbh
I’m looking for 75 inch. Either qm8 or u8k. However hisense is ADS IPS. Would qm8 be better since it’s a va?
