At the end of Declare Attackers and at the end of Declare blockers, there's a round of priority. So yes, after blocks are declared, your opponent can cast instant speed spells. You can also do the same if you have any. Great time for removal or defensive spells too.

Having nexus will not make Roaming throne trigger the commander, but having a nexus will make the commander every creature type. Therefore, you can choose any creature type with Roaming throne and then the commanders triggered ability will trigger twice whenever another shrine (a card with shrine written on it) enters the battlefield

With Nexus in play, you can name one of the 300 creature types with Throne, the next time Go-Shintai will trigger, it will trigger an additional time as it will be whatever creature type you named with Throne.

Did you watch the video? This is exactly how this interaction works. How is it contradictory to say if damage is greater than it's toughness it gets destroyed? That's the state based actions. The thing that happens before a player would get priority. Fatal push literally says "destroy target creature".

Damage happens simultaneously, so yes the rats will deal toxic damage.

Every single other creature in the game (except for nameless race but that was an obvious flavor choice) has a creature type, how does that make sense?

@@DONTworryIgotTHIS There are 8 printed creatures that dont have a creature type. On top of this, Morphs/Manaifest/Cloaked/Disguised cards are all creatures without a name, type, colour or cost. And with the Bello deck, there's nothing that would require you to know the layers in the precon. Not knowing the rules of the game isn't bad design. Would you 'bolt a 2/3 Gofy with Land and Creature in the graveyards?

@@attackoncardboard dude, wtf are you on about? Morphs, manifest, etc aren't printed cards. Also of the 8 cards you're talking about, 6 are the various Go-Shintai cards printed from the same set. Also, even if they were unique, those are 8 cards that completely break with the established convention. Let me ask that another way, how many other enchantment creatures in the game (other than the other Go-Shintai cards) have an enchantment type? Honestly, they probably should have made them spirits as well so it would be more clear that one was a creature you and one was an enchantment type, but I'm guessing they ran out of space on the type line. The main thing is that creature types can't go on cards that aren't creatures (or tribal/kindred). While that doesn't help much for this cycle of shrines, none of the previous ones are creatures.

@@attackoncardboard well no, you still get the trigger from Roaming throne entering the battlefield, but as you can't name shrine you have to name something else. So unless you give your commander a different creature type and the name the same creature type with your roaming throne you will not get your double triggers.

I don't understand what you mean? The token ceases to exists when state based actions happen. That's why they can trigger "dies" effects etc.

@attackoncardboard 704.5d: If a token is in a zone other than the battlefield, it ceases to exist. but SBA are only checked before a player receives priority, they are not checked in the middle of a resolving spell. so why does a token still cease to exist if you flicker it? (exile it and return it to the BF immediately, so no player gets priority between these events) the answer is because of rule 111.8, which isn't actually a SBA, it's a rule on how tokens work.

@attackoncardboard exactly! if it wasn't for that rule, a token would be able to be exiled and returned to the BF as long as it's all one action.

That's the neat part, you don't. Unfortunately you just need to know them (by looking at the rules).

A subtype must belong to one of the types on the card so you can often tell from that. In the case of Shrines you can see that most of them are *only* enchantments (not enchantment creatures) meaning that it must be an enchantment subtype.

You don't really, but you can generally figure it out by knowing what cards usually have that type by default. So like since the default food is a food artifact token, food is an artifact type despite there being food creatures. Only some shrines are creatures, all are enchantments so you can guess that they're an enchantment type. Eldrazi are all creatures unless they're a tribal spell which is a specific feature giving the sorcery a type it normally shouldn't have so you can guess that it's a creature type. that kind of thing.

And that is exactly why I play magic using the 1995 rules before the comprehensive nonsense. It's a creature with a type, so it's a valid creature type. Don't overcomplicate magic with silly rulings.

And anything that can attack is a creature, so yes.

Off the top of my head, by the time the Bones trigger goes on the stack, it's already under the control of your opponent, therefore they control the trigger. Changing controller won't cause Bones to become a new game object, so it should remember that it exiled the Dreadmaw, therefore your opponent should be able to bring back the Dreadmaw. I'd have to double check this one, but 🔫 to my head, this is what I'd go with.

Also, since the ability triggered during the current end step, the Dreadmaw won't be sacrificed until the next end step.

@@Red_Mag3 getting back a creature isn't a may, so as long as it's the only choice that should work.

@seandun7083 Irenicus has been a weird enabler for things, kingmaking by gifting Phyrexian Devourer, putting someone in the shadow-realm by using Irenicus to give them a temporarily animated Lich's Tomb, making Dreams of the Dead a viable reanimation enchantment for my black creatures to donate, or giving someone a 14/14 goaded forever Emrakul, the World Anew after I've stolen all their creatures.
