There are a handful of reprints exclusive to the collector boosters, arguably the most valuable being Ravages of War. I wouldn’t recommend buying packs with the hope of getting these, but it’s a nice bonus.
The Ravages of War is a Vault Boy card which I said wasn't in the Commander decks. The Commander decks come with all NEW Fallout cards, not the alt art reprints.
Collector packs are going to be opened, that's a given, so no doubt one of those Wastelands will be available at your LGS, while not at the price of a Collector Booster, but it will probably be cheaper than all the packs you would have to open to get it 😂
I've already preordered 3 of the decks. Getting the last one with my next check. I want to get 1-2 more collector boxes , I currently have 2 preordered. This is the one set that is getting me back into magic. I'm just excited to play. Caeser will be my main deck, I got my upgrades for it.. Mothman will be my secondary main deck, got the upgrades for that... and Dogmeat/Preston and Madison/Liberty Prime will be interesting to see... even if I don't open the other two decks, I still want to make it as a collector piece. All my decks I want will come out of this set and I'm super excited.. Depending on Thunder Junction if I want anything from cowboy set but other than that I want AC ezio assasin tribal... After that.. I'm probably just eh with decks. But until we get a Elder Scrolls set.. I'm happy and content.
If you're deadset on picking up a Fallout deck, I'd says either Caesar or Dogmeat. Caesar's deck, you just summon as many creatures as possible and keep attacking. Dogmeat's deck you focus on buffing up a single creature and killing people with a couple of attacks.
To be honest i even forgot all the rules of the game but i have a friend who is goin to teach me but thanks any way, oh and i have a question can i mix fallout cards with other for example warhammer and other?
Thanks for this very straightforward video ! I just wonder, i keep seeing that this collection contain 1068 cards, is it because each card can have different kind of "foil" on them ? Thats why the number is so massive ?
I did the same thing lol. I just got into magic (after 20 years of wanting to) with the Murders precons in anticipation of the fallout drop. I find it very hard how popular this drop is, Hasbro only sells 2 different types of products for this. They're not doing well as a company and trying to milk their cash cows for every single drop they can get anymore. Which is why they drop almost monthly anymore. And as it might not be lord of the rings, you can bet this draws new people in. That's makes money, and honestly if they had more products to buy fallout wise. I would have bought every single one. I might even buy a second set of precons to just keep sealed. I definitely can't see them not dropping a bundle box with a special edition rolldown d20, box for cards and even if they don't make regular packs maybe have 2-3 collectors packs.
@erichmahnke5806 u hear you bro, I bought the LotR precons, bundle box (to get a copy of the ring), and still thinking about buying the 4 scene boxes and maybe a box of boosters. I seen one guy on RUclips say that they plan on dropping 2 LotR related card sets every year now. I'll try and find the video and link it below. I know some OG magic players really don't like the (I think they call it world's beyond). And I get it, but I wish I was around for walking dead and Warhammer 40k. It just brings familiar things that people are already fans of into magic, meaning more new players growing the community.
Im thinking of picking up mytant menace, i already made a mardu token deck, so ill just pick up cesar in order to have a commander that cares about tokens
@@attackoncardboard not just those, theres pipboy reprints too, tarmogoyf and vigor were both spoiled and are collector exclusive, same with ayara the bear tribal commander

thank you for making this informative video. i’ve never considered buying these cards but fallout is one of my favourite games ever so i might buy a pack
You're welcome! I figured it would be pretty confusing for some newer players, especially considering they're so expensive. Hope you enjoy the rest of the content :)
theres 2 cards that are confirmed to not be included at all in the commander decks. war room is a launch party promo and ravages of war is only in collector boosters.
@@attackoncardboard ah my bad. so honestly whats your opinion on the set so far? i was one of the lucky ones who managed to secure all 4 commander decks and a collector box when they were cheap on amazon when they first dropped ($376 for all 4 decks and a booster box)
Today's showing was great. And if we can expect this level of flavour and coolness going into the rest of the 3 decks, I'm very excited. I can't wait till the Mothman deck list drops.
I'm glad to see that picking up all the precons gives us the set. And that the collector boosters are for bling. I agree the precons are a better investment and for anyone buying into this set I recommend picking up an extra 10 of each basic land, sleeving everything the same immediately so you can build thematically and endlessly with any of the cards for a lifetime. Get your money's worth people!
Collector boosters aren't really designed to be drafted, so I don't know how the experience would go 😅 but yes, if you want to give it a go, that would be the only way.
I loved mtg but the money for it can be a snag. However my play group loves fallout and I had just learned about yesterday. We are going 4 ways with all the commander decks. Really would like the alternative art but my money is a bit then lol

Too expensive for me. I'd go with a gift bundle at those $50+ prices like I did with transformers in the brothers war. Also get all the lands I need (minus 1 holo plains and those bent damn things lol) but I enjoyed it as a returning player. I liked the full collector's booster I got. 4:24 Though the fallout ones are even more expensive, so you are right in that regard if you wanna pag that much.
It’s a bit annoying that the old cards with new names (tarmagoyf, ayula, hullbreaker horror) are not in the decks. UB has likely bought more new players to the game in the last year than the previous 10 years worth of standard sets. New players coming to the game is a literal net positive across every aspect of the game. From casual to pro tournaments.
