to give the lore on the flip ajani essentially the cat token which is based on his older brother which is "Jazal Goldmane" his brother was killed which caused his spark to ignite and the reason he has red is he was in rage wanting to avenge his brother but later he came back to his senses and planes walked away. to go a tiny bit deeper on modern horizons 3 the biggest theme of the set is Colorless matters thats why Emrakul, and that colorless lord are in the set with more cards coming (also they are attempting to make a older border cards as if a colorless cards existed) and to give a sneak preview of the collector edition decks mtg modern horizons 3... the quick and easy sum up is basically the exact same thing they did with Warhammer 40k Commander decks with the Surge foil version decks. (its an all foil deck.)
Emrakul the Promised End is still better as far as Emrakul goes in edh personally, especially in a colorless deck. The new one I guess can be a game ender, but is that something that Colorless Eldrazi lacks? No.
ravnica running out of guildleaders, tesya and zegana are dead, rakdos and vraska is in thunder junction, , lazav is in deep hiding, kaya is off to see her friends, ses and cim are keeping oba in check, ral is an otter in bloomburrow
I doubt plot means "morph but into a land instead of 2/2 creature" cause Fblthp lets you plot nonlands from the top of your library, how will you prove it's a nonland?
How do you prove that Morph cards have morph when you play them? The way I imagine it, you could plot any card, the same way any card can be manifested.
they're 100% gonna find jace in the vault who locked himself inside to protect the multiverse from a phyrexian him, and also 100% gonna get to the vault at the same exact time as Kellan and his group
I'm figuring that the store would go something like Borderlands. Hear about a Vault with infinite wealth, *spoilers*, it's actually a prison for a cosmic-being.
@@attackoncardboard I.E. Jace, or its bolas' realm and that's why thunder junction was sealed off from the rest of the multiverse before the omenpaths, uh oh I'm onto something
Don't really care about oncoming sets. Every fuckin day is another fuckin spoiler. Already got a lot of stuff to play with, don't need more... Unless it's premodern/RL stuff of course ❤
Asaassins creed looks OK for and EDH set. The rest look kinda meh with the sole exception: Modern Horizons. Modern Horizons looks like the new way to play Magic.
@@attackoncardboardAs an ex- Modern player and an active participant in The League, I am fully aware about the scope of Modern Horizon sets. I was just stating that with the introduction of this third set, Horizon now has enough cards fora competitive draft or to played as mode on its own. In the pandemic a lot of people in my area started to play a limited version of MtG with 40 cards including the first two Modern Horizon sets. This was due to the fact those two sets are probably the BEST designed sets released in the last 15 years.
Not exactly copying. They out-rightly said that Bloombrough is an Animal-Only plane. So it would be a bit weird if they said that and then non-animal people appeared.
Did anyone else notice they're making a 5 color Edrazi commander? In my opinion I feel like that's very much unnecessary. The fact that Eldrazi were colorless was a cool and flavorful limitation to the tribe, but now that they have access to all 5 colors is pretty cringe. I'm just sick of 5 color commanders, especially 5 color tribal commanders. It was cool with the Ur-Dragon but not every tribe needs a monolithic 5 color commander.
@oncardboard In theory, but there is only a small amount of Devoid Eldrazi, with only a few good ones. In practice it just means Eldrazi decks will now be using Dockside, Jeska's Will, Smothering TIthe, green mana dorks, black tutors, blue counter spells, and white removal like every other 5 color edh deck. I still don't think they needed a 5 color commander. In my opinion Commander's color identity rules made Eldrazi decks especially interesting because they were colorless. So I'm just sad to see that go because they were the only colorless tribe with a lot of support. I guess Eldrazi will join the ranks of Dragons, Slivers, Myers, Elemental, Scarecrows, Ally, and Assassins as another 5 color tribe. To be clear I'm not against 5 color tribes existing, I just think there are some that shouldn't become 5 color, in particular the Eldrazi. I'm also not super into the idea of assassins being 5 color either.
@@potatoweaver4116Colorless Eldrazi will still be plenty viable. Kozilek the Great Distortion is still the most competitive colorless commander. Regardless of what devoid Eldrazi they print, running tons of colorless ramp will still make colorless good to play.
Cleopatra isn't just written in Greek, she's written in ancient Greek!!!
Sword of Wealth & Power got me like 🤩
It does seem pretty strange to make Commander Precons with a Modern focused set. Maybe they could do I don't know Modern Precons instead?
Ready for the modern horizons and bloomhaven sets. Gonna be fun and new!
Happy that cover of darkness is getting a reprint
It fits the set perfectly!
They all look so silly and fun.
I feel like that legendary bear Lumra was deliberately made for Loading Ready Run. BearForce3 incoming, I hope.
I can't wait to see more Eldrazi :D

The Eldrazi and Squirrel commander decks are gonna fly off the shelf!
Very disappointed about the EDH push in a Modern release. The winds of change, once blowing towards casual commander, now blow towards cube, I think.

Modern Horizons is meant to shake up the Modern Meta. Modern is just a different MTG format, like Standard or Commander :)

It seems like for Bloombrough mtg is copying Kingdom hearts where a character's appearance could change depending on the world their at.
