Enjoyed the video! The house seems to be missing a washer/dryer and I don't think there was a natural location for one. Also, some design decisions don't have broad appeal, as you mentioned. When a home is listed for over $1 million in Petworth, people expect a more cohesive and thoughtful aesthetic, I think. The small bedroom is very small, as you noted, so the house won't appeal to a family of four, though the price and space suggest it's for a family, And since the basement may not be a legal apartment and doesn't have a fridge or stove, the income-earning potential isn't immediately there. But though many young families may want a four-bedroom home, most won't locate the kids and parents two floors from each other. Perhaps the basement could be an in-law suite, but that isn't a need that everyone has. So yes, there are a few misses that have made it unappealing to folks who should be the target buyers. And, as you know, once a house has gotten stale on the market, folks look at it critically...

Well your comments will give a individual doubts. Most home 🏡 in the DC area is not alot of space. It's probably the PRICE in that area. When you can be in a nicer area for the price. But you are not doing a good job if YOU wanted to sale it. 😢

It is not for me. It is good for a young single person with a good job that likes to entertain from time to time. It could work with a single couple no kids maybe a dog. I think it would sale better at $750K-$800K 1 million is crazy. the bathroom finishes should have been all one color. that fake marble pattern is too much and the over use of chevron looks dated.

Would I buy this home? I sure would. I loved almost everything about it: the floors, the cabinets, the bedrooms, the basement, the kitchen, and the beautiful front door and porch. I'm really not a chandelier person and didn't like the second auxiliary kitchen, but these things wouldn't keep me from buying it. Add a pool and hot tub, and honey, I'm home. Now to rewatch this episode, I go.

DC Real Estate is different beast. Whoever did the renovation should have redesigned the layout. Its to tight for a family. Everything about this design says "narrow" and "no." Nice upgrades but the internal space doesn't match. Probaly need to knock out a few walls.

Nice home, overpriced. The size is typical DC. Honestly, it shows well. Here's your cons for me. Lower ceiling in the basement bathroom and choppy rooms. I think the many mixed tiles make it look like they ran out of money and just start throwing what they have in the home. The small intricate detail is why it's still there, because honestly, I've lived in DC for 45 years, and Petworth is a good community. The home shows well and lots of potential... but you can get so much more for that price, so they shouldn't go cheap for the basic details. You have wood floors, gray floors, and in some cases, about 4-5 different tiles in the bathrooms with black and gold appliances. Consistency is not there.

This is DC! Every home in the city is OVERPRICED. I'm waiting to see if DONALD can make home ownership affordable again! I won't hold my breath! 😊

House is incredible! Love it. Wish it had land w/ grass. Living room should be bigger. Bringing groceries in house would be annoying.

I like all the windows but the layout is very choppy and there doesn’t seem to be a natural flow. Getting furniture in there will be a nightmare. Didn’t like the parking pad either

Hello the house is beautiful but they are making these homes for younger people and if they have children what about the steps and the heights it seems so high not geared for senior citizens

There is nothing unique for the price, they went to Floor and Decor like any DIYer. This home sold in 2022, 2023, and back on the market in 2024. Are those developers or folks leaving because of other issues in the area?

They are overpriced. That’s why 👋🤔Paying 1 million for a home with no parking spaces, cramed up next to your neighbors with stick up kids roaming your neighborhood… if I was not already a native and had not been here all my life I would not move to this city … screw the money I would move to the country where there is land 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤔🤔🤔🤔 those tiny lights are called tea lights they’re supposed to be low mood lights so like if you’re having tea most of the time when you have tea lights you also have another set of lights however just in looking at this particular place it looks like cheap renovation work💁‍♂️🤔🤦‍♂️ I can’t see any inspector giving someone a permission to rent out that basement. It appears that it does not even meet spec!🤔

The hallway is so tight and for that much money! 💴 And no tub 🛀 in the master bathroom 🚽!

I know DC can be pricey but 1 mil is crazy. 4 br is a stretch. Those 2 upstairs brs that aren't the main are way to small. Living area is small and no washer and dryer hookups. Renovators didn't use the space they had to work with very good

The price and size of rooms is the problem. That living area is way too small for nice pieces. Everything else has already been said about what is wrong with the home. Someone flipped it and thought they were about to hit the jackpot with this one!

The house is over priced, it’s poorly designed, the flip looks rushed and disjointed. Overall it should’ve been gutted and redone.

The price is too high and the apartment is small. The bedrooms and bathrooms are too small. Not worth over a million dollars.

The basement: that one area could be a Living/sitting/TV room... It's nice BUT... it would sell if they dropped the price to around 500k-650k. I don't see it moving with small rooms. And the tiling is way to personalized.

I would buy it although I do not like stairs in the front of a house. I love the pool area and home. the tile on the floors was a bit much but it didn't bother me enough to not buy it.

Another thing. That paint is stored too close to the furnace & hot water heater & should be moved immediately
