In today's video, we're gonna talk about the hit song Don't know what you got by the band Cinderella which was off their second studio album Long Cold Winter. This song is going to be a big part of the story that we're telling today about a gentleman who met his future wife and first love in high school, and they bonded over this band and more so over this song, before tragedy struck and changed both of their lives forever..

We all know that there are a lot of things in 2024 that are not considered acceptable that we may have considered such 20 or 30 years ago, but one of those things would be the second single released off of Nirvana's third studio album. This song no doubt was a smash hit and even still today goes hard when you put it on, but the content of it just would not fly with the way society thinks today.

AFI is a great band. Start listening to them in 1999. I really enjoyed their Punk sound, but when's black sails in the sunset came out it blow me away. I would listen to that album over and over again. Then when the art of drowning came out and they first got played on Radio, I was so happy for them. When they made it big for sing of sorrow, I was so excited. That was the first time I went to see them play live. I totally agree with you. I continue to like AFI not because of davey but before their music. AFI 🔥 🔥 🔥.

Smoke Clears and The Reign are not as great but are still good for 6 strong songs each. I've got a 65+ song Hinder playlist that I enjoy. I saw them in 2019 with Saving Abel and both bands freaking rocked. Hinder is just straight-up hard rock. They have great raunchy songs and also some good introspective songs.

First song I ever heard was Totalimmortal, saw the video on MTV X (anybody remember that?! 😅) and was hooked ever since and bought The Art of Drowning that weekend. My favorite song to this day also homie. Still love this band so much, their music means alot to me. Great video man, we have a bunch of the same favorites among the AFI catalog! 🤘 You earned my sub brother. 🦇🖤🦇

Have been a fan since black sails and enjoyed the older stuff. December underground was very profound for cuz I was in the army and it was pretty muc the soundtrack of my year in Iraq. I still enjoy everything they have put out since and I do enjoy a lot of what came out of blaqk audio. Bands changed and people grow up and i can't hate on anyone for that. They are a very creative group and passionate about what they do. And the song prayer position is fricken amazing. I love putting it on in my car and just belting out to it. "OF IN THE DISTANCE THERES A GATHERING!" Total immortal is another awesome song and i loved when the offspring covered it. I share all of the same sentiments that you do. And yes i have an AFI tattoo

@kalandarkclaw8892 That entire comment is awesome man and I appreciate you for sharing. It's cool that the album December Underground can take you back to that moment in time, whether good or bad only you know , but thats the beauty of music in that's why I love it so much, it's an instant time machine. @@RealWaltDisney Appreciate the comment and no doubt in my opinion, they are definitely one of those bands who have absolutely evolved to great extreme over their career but with each evolution they never faltered on being just as good as they were before. I discovered them in 2002. Bought Sing the Sorrow. It was such a unique sound. I never heard anything like it before. Still one of my favorite bands to this day. I started collecting cd's 2 years ago. I went on Ebay and bought all of AFI's early albums. I'm still discovering music from them.

@@wantsome-zs5sq They're definitely a great band who has evolved from where they started at and like I said, I got into them right before high school and ever since then, I just couldn't get enough of them. Definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
