I have met the guys several times and they are so down to earth! My license plate is SHNDOWN and I have a large tattoo on my ankle with the first line of Atmosphere. The best way to listen to Shinedown is in sequence of albums from start to finish. When asked what my favorite Shinedown song is, I reply with "the one I am listening to at that moment". And what is my least favorite? The silence in between their songs.
The impact of Shinedown (or their music) won't be measured by industry awards; but, instead, by the number of lives made better, both directly and indirectly. As you can probably tell from the pic, they've grown to become my favorite band. 28 Shinedown shows (so far - 29th on Aug 10th) and 7 Smith & Myers. I've met them multiple times and they're some of the kindest humans I've ever crossed paths with. For a rock band that has the most Mainstream Rock top 10s (31) and 2nd in #1s (19) to The Beatles (20), one would think they'd be massively well-known by now. That they aren't is a testament to their humility and work ethic ... and that's ok. One of the things I find the most fascinating is that their music seems to find the listener just when it's needed the most. That alone makes them a great band.
Absolutely love the comment and like I said in the video they've been there for me through some of the toughest times in my life. I love them became a fan in 2013 went to my 1st show with them & 3DG. Only knew a few songs but they blew me away with their show. I went to lots of concerts seen over 50 bands live. Brent's vocals live amazing, Pyro and just his presence on stage & he talks to his fans. I bought the CD at the merch table and got a M&G after the show. I never met any rock stars and they just talked & talked especially Brent and Barry to me. I loved them from that night. Met them multiple times even went to their tour bus during TTS tour and Brent wasn't feeling well but he still took pic with me and we hung out with Barry. I got my tattoo after that. Love the music, love Brent's vocals I think he is 1 of the best right now. I love how they always give money to charities and support Suicide Prevention and St. Judes Caner Center. There music has a great meaning and they are all talented guys. I have seen them over 15 times & 1 Smith & Myers show since 2013. Can't wait to see them in August in PA it's been a few years & I definitely missed them.
Great video man. I feel the same way about shinedown. They ve been a huge part of my life, but i forget them. SOM is huge album for me. 2008 2009 was insane and that album was there with me thru those bad times. Those songs meant amd still mean alot.

There third album "Sound of Madness" and Fourth Album "Amaryllis" was by far there best albums in my opinion,but Shinedown is my favorite band ever,love all seven albums.
They are truly amazing! You can see the growth over the albums. I think they might be one of the greatest ever but don't think they will ever get that notoriety they deserve.

Shinedown is my favorite band their music helps it heals it lifts you up They have earned a spot at the top of the "greatest of all time" list of rock bands as far as I'm concerned they are a band that is way under appreciated❤❤
