It wasn't the alcohol that killed him,he had diverticulitis they found it during the autopsy. It affects the intestines. My sister has it, she's had two surgeries already and one of our cousins has it.

Peter Steele stated in an interview sometime in the 2000s that really Bloody Kisses was really the first Type O Negative album cause Slow Deep And Hard was really just left over Carnivore songs. Now not really sure how true this is but I heard that the original drummer Sal Abruscato convinced him to give it another try and start another band cause Steele didn't really want to and stay working for the parks department but really didn't have a choice cause he was still under contract with RoadRunner Records, again not sure how true that is. Now I think a lot of the songs on Slow Deep And Hard were about an ex girlfriend and his fantasy of killing her then killing himself (not too sure how true that is either) but I think he also wrote the whole Slow Deep And Hard album in one night or something like that. I love Type O, wish I could have seen them live but beeing born in 06 didn't really give me a chance, but I got into them around 6th grade and their music really got me through some really dark times and I could relate to the songs as well and I had really bad anxiety at the time and still do a little bit but I knew he had really bad anxiety and when I saw vids of them playing live to thousands of people I thought well if he can do that in front of thousands then I gave give presentations and talk up in front of the class. During high school I was given the nickname Peter Steele due to the fact that I liked Type O and was tall and always wore green and black, but during all those years I was always a big Type O supporter and always wore stuff putting them out there trying to get more people to check them out and try to get them popular amongst kids my age and so that they can get the credit they deserve, I've been successful in getting a decent handful of kids into Type O and now they are also big Type O supporters and don't mind flashing there Type O cds and merchandise around, I get people who ask me what my first Type O cd was and where I got it and it was Bloody Kisses and I still have it, unfortunately it doesn't work anymore cause an ex friend I had snapper the thing into pieces and I picked them up and glued them back together and made a plaque for it since I had both metal and woods classes at the time but I got that cd around 2012 from my mom who found it In a Wendy's parking lot in all placed with the side that gets read on the rough blacktop somehow wasn't scratched but that was back in 2000, I never used it or knew what it was until middle school back in like 2018ish.
