    If you were there, Nothing's Shocking had an even bigger impact.

      Love the comment and I cannot tell you how many times I hear people say the same thing again. My uncle is a huge Jane's Addiction fan and Nothing's Shocking is his favorite album by them. So, no big surprise to hear you or anybody else say it. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙🙏

    Great journalism. I enjoyed your style. Straight forward and honest
    Jane’s has been a huge influence and had an impact on me unlike any band. I was first introduced to them by a friend who had a copy of their first live album and Nothings Shocking. My life was changed from the first note of Up the Beach. Other than Pink Floyd I don’t know four other musicians who came together and put together such powerful music.
    Looking forward to your future work!

      I appreciate the comment and obviously everything I do is strictly my opinion. But it's awesome to hear somebody like you talk about how the music impacted you, and really that's the whole point of me doing the channel is the way music impacts us as a whole is amazing. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

    The demo version of 'Mountain Song' off of Kettle Whistle still makes the hairs on my neck stand up every time I hear it. Brutal, savage, gorgeous, transcendent.

    Jane's Addiction was not some lonely, obscure band who didn't have other bands that fed off each other. Chilli Peppers, Fishbone and Thelonious Monster all ran around with each other....

      Definitely. It’s was first Janes. And guns before they were big. Yeah and thelonious monster great. Nobody thought Janes was great then. … you’re so out of touch

    Yes I remember
    There was alternate music before
    But they were more garage or like ur friends made a cool tune , Janes was in ur face rock n roll

    • @RockTalkWithMike
      @RockTalkWithMike  7 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely, they were and are a very unique band. That's always a breath of fresh air when in most decades we get alot of imitators for whatever sound and style is in, but for Jane's they did it their way and that is what makes them so badass. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

    All these commenters sound desperate. Those underground bands stay underground if Janes Addiction didn’t kick the doors down, including Nirvana.

      I love the comment and I think I can say my favorite part of doing this on RUclips is the comments after the videos posted. I love to hear what people have to say about the music, the majority are good but I think the ones you're speaking on just like to talk shit and stir the pot. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

    That’ live album was epic

    Sounds like a P.R release, all that praising towards so little substance. It’s ok if you’re a fan. That band is barely memorable and mildly interesting

    • @RockTalkWithMike
      @RockTalkWithMike  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey man, I love the comment, and again, this just proves the point that everybody's taste is different. There's bands out there that are universally loved by millions that I've never gotten into and vice versa in the end I respect the hell out of any man or woman that can get a group of people together, write and play some music all their own and turn it into a living. Obviously, some turn it into a living longer than others, but it takes guts and drive. Definitely value all opinions, good and bad, but it's always easy to be critical of those who put themselves out there and do what most people don't have the guts or talent to do. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

  • @bobabooey4537

    Dont exaggerate dude, they were a mostly shitty band lol. Sure... they influenced some other bands but big picture... a shitty band.

    • @RockTalkWithMike
      @RockTalkWithMike  7 месяцев назад

      Awesome comment, hey what ever your opinion is I respect it 👍 like I've said before this part (the comments) is my favorite part because I don't think there is one universal opinion on anything that pertains to music, but that's what starts conversation and debate, love it. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

    I don't give a fuck about this band...... except for this album. 3 days is a masterpiece. It all goes down hill from that but, it is a good down hill ride.
