even before i knew beasties boys started off in the punk scene i always kinda saw them that way. kinda like how eminems first 2 albums felt like nu metal albums without guitars
@SecretSocietyofGoths I really like how you put that. Sometimes no matter what we try to do we can't mask who we are and some people can see right through the facade. Not saying that's what the Beastie Boys Hip-hop career was but you could clearly see that had other influences. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@@RockTalkWithMike yea absolutely and sometimes it just the over attitude of the over all record. one time i drunkly made a real good case for straight outta compton being seen as a punk album
@SecretSocietyofGoths You know what I've never heard anybody make that argument or try to make that case but I can absolutely stand by it and believe it to be just that especially when you look at the lyrics on the album and what punk rock music was meant to symbolize it could easily be labeled as that. Regardless of the style of music, Straight Outta Compton could definitely be a punk album due to the context. Again thank you for the comment and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@JokersNtheOddball As more time goes by I really hope people don't forget what these guys influence was and how massive they were. Thanks for the comment also thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
Absolutely, that was definitely another big statement colab that shouldn't be understated or forgotten about. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@bloodshotred6334 Yes sir, DFL. That is another part of our music history that is probably forgotten my most, even if it was a little chess it was still pretty cool
