hello friend 🤍 I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. I felt very similar things when I was younger. I remember a time when I couldn't imagine my future at all because I felt it would be impossible to make it to it. I had trauma in my childhood, which left me with PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc. Life was very hard and I felt hopeless a lot of the time. But what kept me going was a glimmer of hope that it would get better, and I didn't give up even when I desperately wanted to. I had no idea what I wanted to do for so long (and sometimes I still very much feel this way). But as time passes, we are more and more likely to stumble into something that fills our hearts with joy, a passion that lights us up, or a hobby that fills us with a new excitement for life. As I got older I slowly began to realise what was important to me, the things I liked doing and caring less about what others thought of those things. When I was younger I was crippled with the anxiety that others might judge me for my interests or the things I didn't enjoy doing, so I tried to fit in. But with age and time comes a freeing feeling of no longer wanting to defy ourselves and what we love to appease others. I also gradually grew to accept myself, and with self-acceptance comes so much joy and happiness, and with it, positivity. I still face times where I feel lost and I struggle, but I recognise that it's temporary, and I try to look at the simple and lovely things in my life. My two dogs, my new little friend Juno, a warm cup of tea on a cold morning, fresh flowers, a book that makes me feel things. I used to think I was a pessimist, but I realised I was an optimist who was experiencing a very difficult time. I wish I could offer more comfort or help you more in some way. Please reach out if you need someone to talk to, I very much recognise how you feel as I felt it myself for many years. I promise it gets better. If you told me at 14 years old I'd be living in Asia after graduating with a good career and two dogs and a parrot, I'd never have believed you, but I found my way here somehow. I'm also a matcha-flavour everything girl! matcha ice cream, matcha chocolate, matcha latte 🍵 you have excellent taste ehe! I'm also the only one in my family too! so many unexpected things in common 🥹 I just searched genmaicha, it's my first time hearing of it, I'm going to see if I can get it here in Korea. I usually drink a Korean brand of matcha. yes I love them! the languages I'm studying are (in order of competence): Korean, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, French. I love the variety of this mix. And I do indeed love quotes, do you have any of your favourites you'd mind sharing with me? ☺️ I'm very happy you found me too! Reading your comments puts a huge smile on my face. I'm so happy to find these connections through my channel 🥰 at times, yes, but having Luna and Moose means I go for daily walks even on days I work at home and I practice grounding asanas in yoga when I'm feeling a bit disconnected. I think without the windows to be able to see the sunrise and the mountains I'd find it harder. but having lived in a basement flat in London I think I prefer being high up - the spiders don't jump me in the night here hahaha. do you live in a low-level apartment or house in Canada? wishing you a peaceful end to the week 🤍

hello~ Juno isn’t in this video as she arrived with me a week before I was going away for these few days. I agonised a lot over whether to cancel my trip that I had booked months ago, but it meant losing a lot of money. I spoke with both my dad (who has had parrots for over 15 years) and our avian vet over the least-stressful option for Juno, including her coming to Jeju, staying in the apartment with someone visiting her twice a day for a couple of hours, boarding at the vet, or staying with my neighbour who is also one of my closest friends. It was decided the best option for Juno would be for her to stay with Yuriko, my close friend, who has also lots of experience with animals (we met through her having the same breed of dog as I do!) and is one of the few people I feel I would trust my animals with. During the few days I was away, I received almost hourly updates on Juno, who is happily playing, sleeping, eating and singing away in all of the videos ☺️ as she is young and not showing any signs of stress, we all felt it was good for her to be exposed to people who will regularly be in her life. Yuriko came to my house a few times before I went away to play with Juno and for Juno to get used to her, and it seems she had lots of fun on her little holiday too. She’s gained some healthy weight and is doing really well ☺️ I’ll post a detailed update of Juno after my Jeju videos are posted (I filmed a few during my few days away). The timing was terrible, but Juno is happy ☺️ please let me know if you have any more questions 🤍

My English is currently on vacation, but I'm trying to get it back on track. I also know a bit of Italian and French, or should I say, I understand a lot but need more speaking practice. Now I'm actively studying Korean and a bit of Japanese because I don't want to forget it completely. There are so many more languages on my bucket list. I used to dream of learning all of them. Now I'm just enjoying the process with all its ups and downs. It's a powerful realization for me because perfectionism is a disease.😂😂😂 Now I'm really curious about what languages you speak.😉 I discovered your channel a couple of days ago, and I want to watch all the videos to learn more about your story because, on a spiritual level, we resonate so much. Good morning, and good evening from Seoul ☺️ Russian is going well! I haven’t been able to take a class for a few weeks because of travelling and Juno’s arrival, but I’ve been reviewing vocabulary daily and have my 46-day Duolingo streak intact 🥹 it’s such a beautiful and challenging language - I’m having so much fun learning it!
