SPOILER for quick recaps... ... ... Girafarig: Rival 2 is easily defeated with Confusion. The key to beating Bugsy is Stomp and perhaps a Fury Cutter miss. PASS Exeggutor: Hypnosis strats and some luck from either sleep length, confusion, or misses gives Exeggutor the opening against Bugsy even with 4x-super-effective Fury Cutter. Rival 2 also needs some sleep luck but is doable. PASS Exeggcute: Slow speed and a lack of an attack other than Barrage means it can't even get past a random Rocket grunt with a Zubat and Ekans without heavy luck. FAIL Hypno: Good sleep luck gets it past Bugsy and Rival 2. PASS Drowzee: Good sleep luck gets it past Bugsy, but Rival 2 needs Struggle to even hit Gastly, giving it too few options to get past the following Zubat. FAIL Kingler: Bugsy can be beaten with some luck from a crit or Fury Cutter miss, which is good, as Fury Cutter is the key to beating Rival 2's Bayleef. PASS Electrode: Sonicboom easily deals with Scyther, but it needs struggle to get past Rival 2's Gastly, and this gives it nothing to use against Bayleef. FAIL Gligar: No Mud-Slap? No problem! Sand Attack disrupts Bugsy's Scyther's Fury Cutter, and then Gligar can use Fury Cutter itself to deal with Rival 2. PASS Marowak: Bugsy requires some luck through either weird AI choices, a crit, or a Fury Cutter miss. Rival 2 also requires some luck with Mud-Slap against Bayleef, but is also possible within reason since Razor Leaf is only a 3-hit without a crit. PASS Hitmontop: Bugsy can be beaten with some help from the AI not choosing Fury Cutter too much. Mud-Slap is needed against Rival 2's Gastly, and then high Special Defense makes Bayleef not too hard. PASS Hitmonchan: Use Agility to outspeed Scyther and overpower it with Swift. Has effectively the same Rival 2 fight as Hitmontop. PASS Hitmonlee: Meditate allows Hitmonlee to easily defeat Bugsy with Swift and Rival 2 with a variety of moves. PASS Lickitung: Using a combination of Supersonic, Lick for paralysis, and Mud-Slap against Rival 2, with some luck it can keep opponents from doing anything against it even when it only has 20 base power moves for damage. PASS Weezing: Bugsy can be beaten with poison luck, but with only Smog against Gastly, Weezing isn't beating Rival 2 with its own moveset, and with Selfdestruct in its moveset, no TM moves to overwrite it with, and no Revives to buy, it can't even use Struggle strats. FAIL Dunsparce: Rage continues to be the MVP, though of course Mud-Slap is needed against Rival 2's Gastly. PASS Steelix: Learns Rock Throw just in time for Bugsy's Scyther, and then that move plus some Mud-Slap luck can get past Rival 2's Croconaw. PASS Final Results: PASS: 11 FAIL: 5

SPOILER for quick recaps... ... ... Slowking: Curse makes Bugsy easy. Rival 2 does take some luck to get Curse set up without taking too much damage, but it is within reason. PASS Slowbro: Curse still makes Bugsy easy (as long as Tackle doesn't miss). Lower Special Defense means Bayleef is more of a problem, so Mud-Slap and Swift were needed to make things doable. PASS Slowpoke: See Slowbro. PASS Magneton: Bugsy is easily electrocuted. Rival 2's Quilava is a problem, but some luck with opening move choice, Supersonic confusion, and/or paralysis will get it through. PASS Magnemite: See Magneton. PASS Dodrio: Eats the bugs of Bugsy's gym without much issue, and Rival 2 isn't much of an issue either for this powerful bird. PASS Doduo: See Dodrio, but with more luck needed with Fury Attack to do enough to Croconaw. PASS Farfetch'd: Swift is needed just to get past the well Rockets. Past that, see Dodrio. PASS Cloyster: Aurora Beam absolutely annihilates Bugsy, and Rival 2 just needs not getting paralyzed by Lick or a Razor Leaf crit. PASS Dewgong: See Cloyster. PASS Seel: Having only Headbutt and Growl gives Seel too little to work with to get past Bugsy, to say nothing of not being able to hit Gastly. FAIL Muk: Poison Gas and Harden plus Bug resists gets past Bugsy. Rival 2 requires Mud-Slap to hit Gastly, and then Harden helps with dealing with the rest of the team. PASS Gengar: Once again, the biggest obstacle is not having anything to hit the Normal-types used by the well Rockets except for Struggle. After that, Gengar can slowly Lick past enemies until learning Curse after defeating Bugsy's Metapod, which makes Scyther and Rival 2's Croconaw easy with Hypnosis support. STRUGGLE Haunter: See Gengar. STRUGGLE Misdreavus: Swift gives a more reliable damaging move than Psywave, and Confuse Ray can disrupt Scyther's Fury Cutter. Rival 2 is a luck-fest between confusion luck and Psywave, but can be done within reason. PASS Wobbuffet: Bugsy is possible with Counter, but Rival 2 has a unique issue in that Counter doesn't hit Gastly, which has no special attacks. Struggle doesn't work well either as Zubat can do too much damage with Bite. FAIL Final Results: PASS: 12 STRUGGLE: 2 FAIL: 2

I'm definitely enjoying this series with its whole "how far can X Pokemon go" premise and I also like organizing information like this, so as long as I'm available I'll definitely keep doing it. And with that, without further ado... SPOILER for quick recaps... ... ... Politoed: Sleep strats make things easy enough against both Bugsy and Rival 2, albeit with some Doubleslap luck against Bayleef. PASS Poliwrath: Sleep strats still OP, and Submission makes Bayleef much easier. PASS Poliwhirl: Sleep strats still good against Bugsy, but Mud-Slap support is needed against Bayleef as well. PASS Poliwag: Sleep gets through Bugsy, but advanced Struggle strats and some good luck are needed to get past Rival 2. STRUGGLE Golem: Absolutely rocks the Bug gym, but needs luck against Bayleef, whether it be a turn 1 Poisonpowder or a Razor Leaf miss, and then a Rock Throw critical hit. PASS Graveler: Gets one-shot by Bayleef's Razor Leaf, so too much luck is needed to get past it. FAIL Machamp: Mud-Slap provides a way to damage Rival 2's Gastly, and then it can power through the rest of his team. Bugsy is a lot trickier this time around, requiring Focus Energy and a fair amount of crit luck against Scyther. PASS Machoke: Rival 2 is still easy, but Bugsy requires Struggle strats to do enough damage, and not getting poisoned by Kakuna. STRUGGLE Machop: More Struggle strats needed, with some luck from a Fury Cutter miss from Scyther, and Rival 2 was harder too. STRUGGLE Alakazam: Kinesis helps against Bugsy in getting Fury Cutter to miss. Rival 2 is trivial. PASS Kadabra: See Alakazam, with some help from confusion. PASS Victreebel: Sleep strats still OP even with 4x-resisted Grass moves, with some assistance from Sweet Scent for reliability. PASS Tentacruel: A limited moveset of Poison Sting, Supersonic, and Constrict means even the well Rockets are tricky. Poison and confusion luck are needed against Bugsy, but Rival 2 requires too much luck with confusion to get past. FAIL Tentacool: Auto-FAIL Rapidash: Absolutely roasts Bugsy, and Swift and a bit of crit/move choice luck gets past Rival 2. PASS Murkrow: Easily pecks past the Bug gym, and it has too much power for Rival 2 to deal with. PASS Final Results: PASS: 10 STRUGGLE: 3 FAIL: 3 Bonus: Jumpluff w/Confusion: Finally has a way to hit Gastly, which makes Rival 2 a joke. PASS
