Congrats on beating that headache challenge 😊 But I figure with any challenge one has to think… At least it’s not a Wabafett challenge 🤣 Unless it’s one of those times that it is…. 😰🥶
I honestly wonder if a Wobbuffet solo run is even possible. At the very least it would take forever and massive level grinding. But on the other hand, I guess we could try the event Wobbuffet with Mimic.
@@GSCPokemonChallenges Mimic probably won't be enough. Wobbuffet is running 33 Base Attack and Special Attack, even a strong move is barely going to touch anything. And you can't even try sleep strats because then it can't do damage. Like, I think the only thing you could Mimic to give it even a chance to win would be a healing move. But most of the battles you'll fight where you need it, you won't have access to that.
Yeah, I am generally avoiding Curse unless literally nothing else works. Basically I would go with everything else until I hit a serious wall, then add Curse if I'm at a block, then finally consider Double Team if and only if we are at Lv100 and failing.
For sure. Granted, I wouldn't have nearly that many resets if I had just started grinding optional battles earlier. Too much trying to stay at or near minimum battles.
Agreed, I used it for reasonable portions of the game. It sucks that you have to get access to Waterfall to get the TM, because otherwise I'd have gotten it much earlier.
My ethnicity is half white/half Mexicano - My mother is of French, English, and Irish descent with a little Pawnee mixed in from my great great grandmother and can apparently trace her lineage through a female line back to William the Conqueror and Charlemagne. My father was adopted, but as far as we can tell he is primarily of indigenous Mexican Aztec descent. My wife on the other hand is 100% ethnically Japanese. That make my baby boy half Japanese, quarter Aztec, and quarter white. So he actually has two names - Katsumasa, a traditional samurai name that translates to "Shining Victory" which was chosen by my wife, and Rudolfo, the name of my paternal adoptive grandfather who is an American Army veteran and the first Hispanic to hold a cabinet level position in the Nebraska state government. We are primarily using his Japanese name since we live in Japan, so we're constantly calling him "Ka-chan".
clearly little Katsumasa-chan has been using charm on you
Charm, Milk Drink, and occasionally Sludge
Me: The hiatus must be to care for his kid. I wish him his best.
Pokémon Challenges: I started a Cleffa gen 2 run.
Me: 😮
@@TheLeviathan1293 I did promise it before, just took some time 😂
Hey i hear gsc Pokémon Challenges had a baby... this has to be really rby Pokémon Challenges!!!
@@adventureoflinkmk2 How did you know!?!?!
Nah, just like Mewtwo is a clone of Mew, this baby is a clone of RBY’s baby.
yo i didn't even know of this 2nd channel, good solid run
One of the best RUclipsrs returns! Welcome back, and congrats

@@GSCPokemonChallenges There’s such a thing? Sounds cool 😎

Sleep continues to be OP. Even with the nerf it got going from Gen 1 to Gen 2 it's still far and away the best tool for a solo run challenge.
Agreed, it can break a lot of fights. Granted Snorlax using Snore is a decent counter.
Been ages since I played gen 2, but if the defence curl TM was available at Pryce it doubles the power of rollout
You have to be able to use Waterfall outside of battle to get it. Thus I didn't have it until the E4.
I was eagerly awaiting your return - even more so than RBYPC's return. Nice video.
thank you! This channel is way better than RBY after all!
As long as curse and return exist any normal type (except Smeargle) can complete Crystal solo. Especially if it can learn Rollout.
Yeah, I am generally avoiding Curse unless literally nothing else works. Basically I would go with everything else until I hit a serious wall, then add Curse if I'm at a block, then finally consider Double Team if and only if we are at Lv100 and failing.
well that was quite a rough run, but at least you didn't hit 4 digit resets? Best result is definitely your son getting a cut plushy though

@@GSCPokemonChallenges well we can definitely say that the cleffa named after your son isn't a quitter

Dcurl and rollout is way stronger earlier in the game if you do another run try getting it online asap.

There's no way you're son is running on 0 DV's. 0/10 will still watch again. Congrats on the kid. :)
@@notmyrealname5268 My son has much better DVs, but even if he had 0 DVs he still beats Pokemon Crystal
45 SpA and 55 SpDef being decent, hahaha.
Totally different then Gen 9 where anything sub 100 is considered a bad stat
@@Gota0014 I dunno, even for Gen 2 sub 60 stats are not decent.
