so funny his mistakes :) thank you. nice toturial
Whoa, few years on this vid. I recently put a 175 on a stock 3 spoke gs500 mag. Only problem is the rims 100mm wide. So I found a GSX rear wheel that 5.5" wide. This'll relax that 175 and It'll look it's width and not be so high. I need to find a 28mm O.D. axle assembly now. I might just get a pipe with them dimensions and make it a shim.
Does fairings attach a GS500e
@themuhammadharoonmazhar10 Those fairings are original on this model ;-)
@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 Right. Thanks Bruce. Stay blessed. Beautiful work. A fan and a subscriber from 🇵🇰
@themuhammadharoonmazhar10 Thank you man I appreciate
Just done mine but had to take apart as I had no rebound damping after assembly. Found a manual online and it states damper rod nut needs to be set 11mm from top of thread and NOT all the way down. Did this and all O.K.
@geoffrogers4549 You usually want to set the lock nut all the way down on the top treaded part of the shaft, then adjust the number of clicks you want on your rebound adjuster on the top cap, usually 12 to 14 clicks in from all the way out. This will set the hight where your topcap will sit on the shaft. Then you screw the cap on gently and back up the lock nut against the cap and tighten them together. You'll then be able to back up the rebound screw 12 or 14 clicks back and this will then be your adjustment possibility.
@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 Thanks, I guess setting to 11mm as per the manual has a similar effect. All sorted now and your video gave me the confidence to do it myself and save £££££££`s
that engine is rubish..the cylinders are rusted away...maybe you can use crank,conrods,gearbox...but combustion chamber is shoot...ive seen that before...

"a little bit"
What color code has the engine ?
Hi, I'm sorry but I can not answer this question. I haven't painted it... It's the original paint and color. ✌🏻
I like your Coffee-Kawa cool project, I had a 2001 1200, trying to Paint and change all the old screws and handle controls, I got it on $3500, with a 12000 miles, but with fewer details, ...I want to know more about the Bike, my first water radiator, used to have the KZ 1000 police, imagen on the Desert South Los Angeles, working with the KZ without water cooling, Traffic control Escorts on summer time (90° F) plus the KZ driving 100 miles stops and traffic control lights, until we change to Honda St1300 and BMW 1200, old times , well good experience until we started to get problems with the BMW Clutch , to expensive to fixed, any way I like the Kawasaki ZRX12000 And I just having fan , plus adaiting couple think, I had to check you're video .... flashing the cooling system, " Thank you " 🙏
So when you clean the carbs initially did you put a full service kit on them or just change the float bowl gaskets ? I’m asking as I have just picked up an 1100 had supposedly the calves cleaned, but I’ve got a few leak from somewhere but speaking to the bloke that cleaned them he didn’t use any new parts
Hi, I usually always replace everything with some kits from Keyster. Don't know if they are available outside of Europe.
Actually you CAN back up the air box by unbolting it then pulling it back with a ratchet strap. You’ll gain a centimeter or two, which is huge in this instance.
I remember backing up the airbox, definitely helps but still a pain 😝
Great job on the video! I just rebuilt the forks on a 2005 zrx 1200r last night. And this video helped big time. Thank you
YOU WEREN'T BRAVE ENOUGH TO SHOW US YOUR REMOVAL OF THE CARBS LMAO!
It would have been a 2 hours video... 😅
I have the rear shock from a SV650.
Gs500 superbike doesn't exist.... Lol you should see mine, though.. it definitely looks like one!!
I have the same problem with my '00 zrx 1100 • Great videos • have a good one • Don from Massachusetts U.S.A.
Frm malaysia thanks
Yes release the the cap first and perhaps listen the bottom too before fully retracting the axle.
Very well presented.. I'm thinking about using the fork caps from a zxr1100 on my sprint st to allow the separate adjustment of damping and preload.. Either that or just use emulators without cartridge. I liked your light heated jokes and humility. Very down to earth to watch. I am rebuilding my forks for the first time. I'm thinking that it's.. bush not bushing so you're correct. I converted my 955 sprint to a 1050 cc sprint
Yes it's a CBR900 Fireblade rear wheel 👍🏻
I bought a 82 Honda cb900 an now I’m picking up another one for parts to make a cafe
great vid! Zrex forever!
i was given this bike a year ago by my stepdad and i love it. just needs a petrol cap and carbs synced up to get her running again!. we also polished all the steel you see to a mirror chrome
You know what? *Unbuilds your ZZR600*
What do you mean with that comment?
Been needing to do mine for while. Good vid thanks. Need to get front stand
Way did you stop making videos?
I started to restaurate my old VW Van thinking that it won't take too long.... Its been 2 and a half years and I'm still not finished... I have no more time for anything. I want to have it done for this summer and start making videos again😎. Let's see if I manage. My bike projects are all on pause as well 😒
I was wondering the same thing. Really enjoy your videos! Looking forward to some in the future
You guys do well , for freinds from our fatherland if you guys know Valerie please tell her Roger says hello ,I have a ZRX1200R VERY NICE I HAVE A 1980 KZ 1000 SHAFTY VERY SMOOTH I HAVE A QUESTION IN YOUR OPINION , DO YOU THINK THE 29S ARE BETTER THAN THE 32S. AS FAR AS PERFORMANCE AND FUEL DISTRIBUTION ARE CONCERNCED THANK YOU . ROGER
No idea what you're talking about man....
Just did mine, man it was a beast ,took all day , but never gave up. Didn't even use any specialty tools!! The inner part was the worst, threw a wrench and a screw driver down the tube to lock the inner nut, second fork tube was a breeze. Thanks man was contemplating doing this job myself.
did you ever finish this project?
Yes😊 the bike is finished and is really awesome to ride! James put a few thousand kilometers on it and it's actually for sale at the moment. Check out my Instagram you can see it there. Same name as this channel.
hi i am trying to establish what goes on what on the air intake nipples at the back of the carbs. Thereare four nipples on has a pipe on it which i believe goes to the petrol tank are the other three just capped off with the black covers or are there more pipes to go onto somewhere else. Thanks, great videos by the way.Mick
Hi, thanks for the comment, I don't have the bike anymore since a while so I don't remember exactly but I guess that the other 3 are only to sync the carbs and have to stay with the plugs on. 😉
Hi there, I know it's been a while since you posted this video but i ask anyway, can you tell me which fork did you use on the bike? i ride a cb1100 bol d'or and I am preparing it to be a cafe racer and i would like to change the fork amongst other things. Thank you 😉👍
Hi, no worries I still have this bike 😊 the full front end is off an RN09 R1. The triple trees are CNC made and the stem as well. 😉
@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 Ok great thank you, did you use some spacers between the rim to full the space or you took the complete fork+ wheel and just cnc the trees?
Complete R1 forks, front wheel and brakes 😊. You can use the stock triple trees as well if you want and just make a new stem but I did it like that as I had the possibility to do it at my work.
@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 I would like to buy only the forks and do all the rest because the original wheels are really beautiful, i know it will be a big work to do but it will worth it. I have the possibility to have a 2008-2010 gsxr fork or a 2020 cb650, with your experience, which one will you take? 😅
I suppose you sold those fairings by now? 😅
Quite some time ago yes 😜😉
Hi Bruce, from which bike you got the tank ?
Hi, this is the stock CB900f tank. I just painted the bottom to make it look a little more straight. 😉
what sproket setup do you have??
Hi, sorry I no longer have this bike and can unfortunately not remember 🙈
Tengo una Honda cb750 rc42 del año 2001, y este video hace que mi aprecio a esa moto se incremente. Hermosas maquinas!
Thank you very much 😉
i am in this hell currently...at what point did you remove the throttle cables?...after removal like the manual says?...or before?...please and thank you :)
Hi, it's been a while honestly so I'm not too sure but I think after tacking the carbs out and you better put them back on before installing the carbs back as there is very little place to do that with them in place... It can get very frustrating. Maybe choke cable has to go first as its shorter I think but I'm no longer sure. Hope that helps. Good luck 😉
@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 yeah choke cable off first per the repair manual, but the throttle area a mystery...thanks a bunch anyways...vid was very helpful...gonna get that sucker out this week for sure...hehe
