  • Welcome Back, Here is a new video about the bol d'or, it's starting to run better but main jets still need to be adjusted! Unfortunately my rear brake setup got completely destroyed because of a lost screw.... Feeling a bit unlucky with this bike but hey, that's part of the game! Please like and Subscribe to see more ;-)

    Have you use Colortune from Gunson for tuning your carbs? That may helps you to find the right setting for your carbs quicker and more accurate.

    I'm amazed at the amount of damage that caliper did to the bike. We could argue about that bolt... Did you tighten it? Maybe, maybe not. This is one of the problems with working on a project alone. Either way, try not to beat yourself up. Shit happens. Use a little loctite where you can. Stay focused and you'll laugh about this later
    I'll say, the bike sounds amazing! Can't wait to see the finished product.

      Thank you very much for the comment! Yeah it is crazy how many things can get smashed in a second because of such a little thing but as you say shit happens and that's the risk when modifying so many things on a bike... Loctite will definitely go on the next one for sure! Haha. ;-)

      Hi, the forks, front wheel and full front brake system is off a Yamaha R1 RN09, both triple clamps and the stem are CNC made at my work. 😉

    Hey Bruce I am new to your channel I’ve been following your CB 900 build and just recently picked up my own looking to do a similar build with the whole modern suspension but need help wanted to know what kind of swing arm and front end are using and where can I find parts if you don’t mind me asking is there any websites that you go to you to get the parts that you have now is there anyway you could make a parts list so I have something to go off of anything would help

    • @brucesmotorcycleshop3729
      @brucesmotorcycleshop3729  4 года назад +1

      Hey, thanks for the comment and follow, I'll be doing a fully detailed video about that bike early next year. The swingarm is from a yamaha Fazer 1000 rn06 but I had to convert it from mono to twin shocks and narrow it down in the front to be able to fit in the CB frame. Unfortunately that swingarm is a little too long and I'm having some issues with the chain that presses too much on it. I have an XJR 1300 (I think it's a 1300) swingarm in my shop and I might swap them at some stage because it's 30mm shorter and should reduce that chain problem and shorten my wheelbase! You have to do the same mods on it too tho. Frontend is fron a yamaha R1 rn09 and the triple trees and fork stem are custom made for my bike. You could easily use the stock triple trees and just let a new stem made. It's relatively inexpensive and easy to measure. I hope that this could help you so far. Stay tuned for the detailed video coming up soon. 😉

    If you don't mind me asking? How did you test to find bad coils?

    • @brucesmotorcycleshop3729
      @brucesmotorcycleshop3729  4 года назад

      Hi, you have to test them with a multimeter, look in your owner's manual for how much ohms its ment to have. There is plenty of videos on the platform on how to proceed 😉

    Sicherlich haben alle Recht, wenn Sie sagen kaufe Dir einen Dynojet Stage 3 Kit, da diese Abstimmung für offene Luftfilter gedacht ist. Nachteil ist der teuere Anschaffungspreis. Ich habe mir den Spaß gemacht und für dieses Geld eine Lambdasonde zu verbauen mit Messinstrument. Dazu noch etliche Düsen....anschließend pendelte ich oft zwischen Straße, Zündkerze, Messinstrument und zerlegten Vergasern.
    Ergebnis:
    900er Vergaser offene Luftfilter
    Primärdüse 74 (fix)
    Fall 1 Für leute die es im oberen Drehzahlbereich gerne etwas fetter haben Luft-/Benzingemisch bei ca. 4500 U/min das ideale 14,7:1 und so ab ca. 7500 U/min 12,0:1. Sekundärdüse 115 Gemischregulierungsschraube 1 - 1,5 Umdrehungen raus.
    Der Drehmoment im unteren und mittleren Drehzahlbereich profitiert davon.
    Fall 2 (Der Allrounder)
    Unter Vollast im oberen Drehzahlbereich wird das ideale Luft-/Benzingemisch erreicht. Sekundärdüse 110 Gemischregulierungsschraube 1,75 - 2,75 Umdrehungen raus. Gleichmäßige Kraftentfaltung über den ganzen Drehzahlbereich
    Ich bin mir sicher, das diese Abstimmungen schon gut sind. Sie ist auch kostengünstiger, da nur 8 Düsen ausgewechselt werden müssen und an der Gemischregulierungsschraube gedreht werden muss. Eins ist aber klar, an Dynojet kommt diese Abstimmungen sicherlich nicht ran. Dazu fehlen die speziell geformten Düsennnadeln. Zu entscheiden ist nun , ob Dir 4 Nadeln 120€ - 130€ wert sind für ein minimal besseres Ergebnis.

      😨 or you just do like me, you save 1k and you buy flatslides! Haha! The advantage of the dynojet needles over stock is that they are adjustable.. I mean you can put spacers on the OEM needles but it's much easier to adjust them with the clips. 😊
