I left Australia and have been in Canada since 1970. I still dread our winters even though they aren't always too cold. I suppose it's partly because it gets dark so early and the short days are depressing also, I don't like the freezing cold, you have to leave early for everything because it sometimes takes thirty minutes or more to clean off the snow and scrape the layer of ice. Sometimes....the door is frozen shut and you can't get in...lol. The fun never ends.

I see a lot of people mentioning various artists that weren't covered but, lets be honest, the amount of musical talent for such a minimally populated country, is astounded. This list also makes me sad thinking about all the artists we've lost that I have and will likely always be such fans of. Canukistanians represent.

As a Newfoundlander (Canadian), it is good to see these videos with an Australian perspective. I have made Scottish "Steak and Ale" pies in the past, and Newfoundland version as well. I'm curious about the Australian version. Do you have a link to the Australian version (recipe) of the Aussie Meat Pies? Or can you share the recipe you have. Thanks for covering this. I love Jasper and will visit again once it is open again. It is a sleepy mountain town yet is a big attraction for many Albertans and others from across the world. My relatives from Scotland love this town and visit whenever they are in Canada.

Oh, you're so lucky to have seen Halley's Comet. I was so excited to see Halley's comet, but then I didn't. I only saw it on TV. I eventually stopped looking for it, thinking I'd missed it; I didn't realize it would be around for months. So in the end I DID miss it.

To be fair to Hugh, Tash, he did tell them that it needed to be eaten with your hands like a hot dog. He used the fork because he couldn't get it out of the pie plate. Maybe no one's eating prawns in Australia, but maybe they chose them, because Canadians love shrimp!

I wish they hadn't called it "Top Musicians", which would mean that these people are more knowledgeable about music, and accomplished on their instruments than graduates of conservatories, members of symphonies, and jazz and studio musicians. For example, I can't believe the people on the list would consider themselves better musicians than jazz legend Oscar Peterson. The Band started out as the backup musicians for Arkansas singer Ronnie Hawkins, who was a fixture on the Toronto bar scene. Levon Helm was American, but Robbie Robertson and the rest were Canadian. See the movie "The Last Waltz" which has an assortment of stars playing on what was supposed to be The Band's farewell concert with band member interviews in between the songs.

Don’t mind what I’m saying I just like talking a lot I’m in newfoundland and everywhere fun sometimes is the best places to go I’m 12 and only have been out of Newfoundland for a month every whwre is fun but I only stay inside my house and everyone is so nice sometimes so I think after being in Newfoundland for 11 years I think it’s ok but idk why they named one of the ilands pee pee iland I do think jt jhons is ok but me as a collector of Godzilla I barly find anything Only thing. The Residential Schools were set up to "civilize" the Indigenous people - they were started by the Government but run by others - the Catholic Church ran a lot of them, I think about half of them, but there were also other groups. They tried to force the children to fit into White culture. I think of all things done here in Canada, this may be one of the worse. The children were given "proper" names, they were not allowed to use their own languages, instead they had to speak either French or English, depending on where the school was, and they were not allowed anything that was a part of their own culture. They were all expected to be Christians - no say in it. I've had a few friends who went through some of that - it's hard to think that Canada has this stain on it's history, but I am glad things like the Heritage Minutes address stuff like this - not just the glowing wonderful stuff, but the shameful history as well. You can never learn from history if you don't know it.

This was part of their stop in Toronto at the end of July for the premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine. I've really gotten to like Shawn Levy during their junket.
