Molson has always had great ads, going back many years. Their marketing department is legendary and their commercials are arguably better than the beer itself. The flag on the backpack is specifically so people don’t confuse us for Americans.
Problem is many flag wearers are Americans trying to fly under the radar.
Molson has done more to promote Canada than our various governments ever have. The advertising campaigns are fantastic!
@@Sharon-bo2se So true. There is a town just over the border in New York state that sells the Canadian Travel kit. It includes a Maple Leaf pin, and a flag for your back pack. It isn't being sold to Canadians, we generally already have those.
Yes.. isn't it so sad when there has to be a double meaning for our flag wearing and we can't JUST choose to wear it for pride alone.
I find, for the most part that once people learn you are not American they are cool with you. Sad but true.
As a proud Canadian who is fairly well travelled , I have to tell you , no matter where in the world I was , people after learning I was Canadian were always so complementary of Canadians and our wonderful country. Love your show and content. 👏👏👏
I just got back from a 3 week trip to Europe. Currently they see Canada as pretty much communists with a good looking dictator.
I have found the same thing. Most people automatically assumed I was American as we look the same but as soon as you tell them you are Canadian (mostly - one place I had to prove it by answering Canadian trivia as Americans had been claiming they were Canadian), the attitude changed. The people were nicer & in one place I even got a complimentary drink because of being Canadian.
@@Carrie-so3ro We asked for a hotel room in Vienna and were told none were available. The desk clerk saw my Canadian passport and suddenly one freed up. I've never seen anything like it since. I was like "ummm?".
The I AM CANADIAN molson commercial is iconic 👌
I love these one because suddenly everyone is like where are the canadians to be able to get into the fridge. Makes you feel loved as a canadian
The first commercial is special. Set in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A city in which over 255 languages and dialects are spoken daily (confirmed by Statistics Canada Census data) and has been recognized by many worldwide as the most ethnically diverse city in the world.
Montreal is molson home bud .
@@carlosoruna7174 So? You have the Habs, they're stuck with the Leafs and I'm stuck with the Senators. You can't have everything. Besides, the Ad was about our ethnic diversity and that includes Quebec. As for Molsons ewe..... Give me a Pepsi and Jos Lois anyday. BTW: I was there for the very first Senators - Habs game and guess who won! Like I said, you can't have everything.
dont forget its also a memorial day for Newfoundland and Labrador. WW1 1916 battle of Beaumont-Hamel. 800 sons and fathers died, a regiment wiped out. one of the worst days of the war.
Love these commercials makes me proud to be Canadian! You MUST make a trip here!!🍁🍁🍁
Maybe one day!
@@aussietashreacts come to Alberta it's worth the trip there is so much to see here.
Watching you enjoy these advertisements made it all new again and warmed my heart ❤️
Love you Canada J 😄🙃
I get actual tears in my eyes watching these tash you gotta see our other beer commercials we do love em alot
So did I
I'm old and it might be my medication, but I tear up with Canadian pride when I see these ads.
haha I'm laughing because I use no meds but teared up anyway
@@rickncam3 no meds but tear up anyway.
Four years ago, the London cast of Come From Away took over one of the underground stations to celebrate Canada Day.
Wow that would be a cool video
@@aussietashreacts it popped up on my feed for Canada Day. 🍁

I am Canadian. Molson has always had great campaigns. Their marketing department rocks. Happy Canada Day love your channel
Cheers Mate 😄😄
Yes! @Aussie Tash have you seen the ironic I Am Canadian (Joe ) rant yet?
@@Zlata1313 yes, loved it mate
@@aussietashreacts it's classic! I'm probably not the only one who can recite it for memory 😄 PS I'm sitting in Timmy's having an ice cap and donut watching your video 👍😁
When it comes to singing the anthem, I think the videos of Canadians finishing the US anthem when the mic drops at a hockey game, and the reverse with US fans in Detroit singing O Canada, are the most cool.
Thank-you for reacting to these beer fridge promotions & ads (& esp. for our special day.) Thank-you also for your kind Canada Day greeting.
ALL of the older Molson Canadian ads were exceptional. They were genius as they didn't focus on trying to sell the beer directly - but by promoting Canadian nationalism - that would then make people feel good about their beer & get Canadians to buy it. These beer fridge promotions were EVEN BETTER, as they got Canadians to PARTICIPATE in the spirit of nationalism (& enjoy a [Molson] Canadian beer - & associate the 2 together.)
I wish they would bring back these promotional beer fridges & do them again. (We should ALL petition the company to do so - & maybe petition to have one of the passport fridges near AussieTash?)
We could really use these national togetherness beer fridges again, as a lot of negativity & divisiveness is starting to enter our country through the internet & certain Canadian politicians who do so for political & political party gains - at the expense of Canadians. I hate this. As Canadians, we need to call out those that would spread this kind of negativity & call out those who would try to divide us for political gains. WE - ARE - CANADIAN - TOGETHER. A GREAT group of people (in general) & WE NEED TO STAY OUR KIND, POLITE, COMPASSIONATE SELVES, that people around the world know & love us for (& that we love ourselves for being too.)
Love to my "fellow" Canadians.
Love to you AussieTash.
Love to all your other viewers out there.
At the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto they had the one where you had to say it in different languages. I contributed with Finnish to get the door to open. Was such a nice experience. It's marketing but really put everyone in a good mood.
👍
Molson nails their ad campaigns. Great stuff.
Best commercials EVER!!!! I have watched these over and over again and, every time, it brings a smile to my face and a joy in my heart to know that this is my country. Proud to be Canadian! Happy Canada Day to you to Tash!
those were fun ads and this was a fun idea
I've been waiting for ya to get to this one @AusieTash we love our beer commercials here in canada 🇨🇦 🙌 😊
These commercials often came out as a series that would run during the hockey playoffs or the Olympics, when they knew they had a huge tv audience. Molsons always did a great job.
For a laugh, check out "this hour has 22 minutes" beer fridge.
Thanks for this. I just checked it out. LOL
The first ad was shot in Toronto (was it just here?). One of the beer fridges is by the fountain across the street from St. Lawrence Market South.
Great Peameal sandwiches to be had among other tasty things.
Hi, Aussie Tash, I am Canadian, and I can speak both of Canada's official languages. I am an English teacher teaching in South Korea, where I have been for the last twenty-four years. My Korean is getting pretty good, too. (my name: Edward Saulnier)
Molson's marketing is outstanding. I never feel more Canadian than when I see these, truly. Also, for my entire life every family I know has their kitchen fridge and their beer fridge. These commercials make complete sense to me
Tash! Glad to see you enjoyed the ads.
We must get you and the other Canada reactors (I believe there is a guy from the UK 🇬🇧 who is living in Malaysia 🇲🇾, as well as one in the USA 🇺🇸) to come for a visit.
A little creativity will figure out how to get someone to foot the bill. Grin.
We love you Natasha from Canada 🇨🇦
Love your reaction! ♥
Glad you enjoyed!
Molson has some of the greatest advertising campaigns of any company.
Awesome video Tash ! Been a while. Cheers from Nova Scotia , Canada !
We Canucks do enjoy our beer.
I love the way you say Canada 🇨🇦
I saw a display of Molson Canadian in a shop in Dublin Ireland.
You're not missing anything if you haven't tried Molson Canadian. It's not a bad beer, but it's one of our generic cheap ones. It's not terrible, I'm happy to have one in a pinch, but their commercials are what make them legendary.
Yes we have Molson beer & a lot of pride in our country. But you have Nikki Osborne
hahahaha your canadian molson flag from Sato ;)
It wZ so lovely to hear Aussie Tash sing our national anthem, honestly it is such a treat to stop on by to her live streams. I can't wait to listen to the next stream.
Obey the machine, get a reward.
The metaphor isn't lost.
This is cool. I am canadian..
Well kudos to you for wearing a toque while watching these! WTG! I live in BC Canada & have never seen one of these fridges - thank god!
Thanks for watching!
Glad to see you .
I am Canadian and have never seen these ads until now. thank you for sharing with a Canadian lol Keep laughing =)
To be fair one of the biggest reasons we display the Canadian flag on our backpacks is so we're not mistaken for Americans! 😂
Tash, thank you for reacting, you made me so proud to be Canadian
have you seen My name is Joe and I AM CANADIAN? good commercial. I love this beer cooler one though
Loved it so much 🤟😄
I'm from Alberta Canada chin chin to you all.
That was fun, Taz. I don't remember those.
Lovely video Tash! ❤ You may like to check out a Canadian comedy duo called Bowser and Blue. They have a song about Canada called ‘Where’re all here coz we’re not all there’ which is totally hysterical 😂
Cheers
Proud to be canadian! Another great one is called "I am canadian"
Thanks Tash 😀 💜🇨🇦
Molson Dry was my beer of choice in the 80's...cheers! Ontario Canada here.
I love the Molson commercials despite nobody I know who actually drinks it. Micro brews are abundant and very popular in Canada.
Molson is the ONLY Canadian owned beer company.
Great Choice ❤
Happy belated Canada Day! 157 years young!
Enjoying it tasha
Canadians will always buy you a beer.
Thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
You should check out what westjet airlines did for Christmas a awhile back.
I GOT TEARS!
not gonna lie. I have tears
Couldn't hear the audio in the last video --- maybe I am even older than I thought.
Sorry mate
A decent beer too.
The Canadians have the Canadian flag on their backpacks so people know they’re not Americans.
❤❤❤
🫶🏻❤️🌹
You can't alwaysctrust that someone with a Canadian flag on their backpack in Europe is actually Canadian. Lots of Americans will pretend to be Canadian while in Europe so that they're treated better.
Hey Tash - Request for you to do another video on Ryan Reynolds. Not sure if you know this, but in December of 2022, he was honoured with the American Cinematheque Award - the only Canadian to do so! The award is presented annually to an extraordinary artist currently making a significant contribution to the art of the Moving Picture. ruclips.net/p/PLMUwzCWZCo9WAj7uig8peHNqujMDexU4I Thank you!!!!
never seen these screw-top "cans"
Makes me proud to be Canadian but t the same time sad that most of the world knows very little about us as a country and a people with a distinct culture.
To be fair, how much of other countries does the average Canadian really know? The average Canadian doesn't even know how many countries are in North America.
@@rdjftw2531 Ah 2? How many did you think?
@@kateleblanc604 I don't think there are 2. I know there are 23, so thanks for proving my point, lol!
@@rdjftw2531 I had no idea there were that many (thanks for the info btw) but someone really thought there were only two? My goodness, even I've heard of NAFTA.
We sport a 🇨🇦 so we aren’t mistaken for 🇺🇸. Sorry. 🤷♂️
Don’t let the Canadian flag on this guys backpack fool you! Many Americans are wearing a Canadian flag so they don’t get bothered by Europeans
2 words "joes rant"
Start a gofund me to come to Canada, I will entertain you in CAlgary.
What do you think of some people considering to updating the Canadian National Anthem line of "Our home and native land" to "Our homes on native land."
On 1 January 2021, the words of the Australian National Anthem were changed on from 'For we are young and free' to 'For we are one and free'
Jully Black sang it that way at the NBA all star game one year.
We have to sew a Canada flag on our stuff because Europeans think we’re from the USA. 😂😂😂😂.
💗💖🥲😘
