On your point around starting the engine without starting the APU, its entirely possible to do from a procedure point of view. What I mean is, you can start the APU using the left most switch on the engine control console, once the APU is stable, you can then start the engine. You can also bypass this by just selecting Engine start. The switch has to be held for a few secs and will magnetically latch on in the engine start position. This will start the APU and immediately translate into an engine start, once the ECU reads that the APU is stable. I did this many times as a Harrier engineer. Perhaps the USMC always started the APU independently?

PSA for using bombs on Viggen: You have to set your altitude gauge's reference pressure such that your altitude will be 0 at your target's altitude. The angle is too shallow for the radar to range for you.

My 1st flight sim was the 1st MS flight sim. Mostly only played the WWI combat with biplanes so nostalgia is bringing me to the free to play WW1 flight sim. Looks fun

Thank you for this content. The Jeff is one of the most versatile aircraft in DCS. And it is the most recent/modern aircraft in DCS. It can do air to air combat (Bvr and Acm), air ground strike (especially laser rockets are amazing), Sead mission and naval strike operation. I love this aircraft even if the engine is 'underpowered' and even if its gun is not good for dogfight.

Imagine if this mod receives a modernized cockpit, sensors and weaponry, like the Brazilian Navy did on their Skyhawks. This would put most paid modules to the ground.

I love when people like you play the lesser known aircraft, they have great armaments and I hope you can play this again as an anti ship role, or maybe another Chinese fighter in the Air to ground/ship role…… not many do this so it’s always really fun to watch 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Looks dope, we'll see if it has what it takes in the long run. After watching even Helldivers 2 turn on it's own community I'm a little jaded about everything. The level of detail is a very good sign, you can't do that if you don't actually care about what you are working on.

next month this game will have been out for a year. I just bought the game and I love using my HOTAS with it.

The F-16C from Ali Express. That engine may perform well once you get to transonic speeds, but down low and at combat speeds, it just doesn't have the same kick many of its competitors do. Especially when loaded down (The RD-93 puts out 84.4 kN to the F110-GE-129's eye watering 129 kN). Sensors are pretty aight, but nothing special. The SD-10's are a pretty competitive missile though, even if the PL-5EII's kinda just feel like discount Magic-2's if you've gotta merge. Solid platform, but nothing too special.

You don't need external fuel tanks as much as you think. 5100lb of internal fuel, cruising at 25kft you can do about 200-300nm round trip. The common mistake is loading everything under the sun when you don't need as much. Flown the JF since it's release. Great module.
