I pre-ordered the Phantom a while ago, it's one of those "can't skip and MUST learn" modules because of how important it was in the history of fighter aircraft. The VSN mod is very impressive compared to what they used to do, and as a mod aircraft in general, but official modules just deliver a much more real experience. Also not being able to TACAN the tanker or carrier really negatively affects how I make missions. I like to build long range naval missions that cause the boat to move significantly and require AAR, so not being able to route to either through radio navigation becomes a major drawback. Hopefully Heatblur doesn't delay a naval variant too long, as I'm no landlubber.
Pre-ordered the F-4 the moment I saw it was available. "Iconic" is an overused word these days, but it is entirely appropriate for the Phantom. Can't wait for it.

It’s been a long time waiting, but we’re finally getting close to the end
this mod will have to hold me over until winter... but still! I pre-ordered on the HB website and I couldn't be more excited. definitely going to be my favorite module when its out.

I'll be grabbing the F-4 as soon as it goes up on Steam. I've contemplated switching to standalone for some time, and the F-4 is the closest I've come, but ultimately the gifting convenience for friends and family offered by Steam courtesy of my wishlist is worth the offset.
I may checkout the VSN mod although I've just started with the A-4 and I'm currently banging my head with that although it appears to be a great module so far.
Okay, I will say that the A-4 is much more polished the the VSN F-4 but definitely worth a try!

Still some Bugs but for a MOD it is excellent. Even close to the A-4 I'd say. And the FM is giving you everything you expect from that heavy bird. Flying Brick with massive Engine Power. You get her out of her Flight Envelope and you better eject before you are too low. Hard to dogfight Mig-21 with it if you get too slow.
i pre ordered, HB has set the bar for modules imo and i love the tomcat, been waiting for the phantom since it was announced and i couldnt pass up an opportunity to get a sweet t shirt for only 5 dollars extra!

Being on a pure AMD system, TAA and FSR makes playing on enigmas impossible due to massive ghosting. Its not deep-learning AI like DLAA, so its just fucked.

I'm really skeptical of DCS's implementation of FSR... It looks way blurrier than in any other games I've tried it on

I need to say - phantom is third module what i want to have in DCS, already have av8b and apache.
For me after upgrade (for dcs is more downgrade) gtx1080ti to rx7800xt i have all time plenty of problems.
Black screen flickering, no smooth change weather its 0-1 in 3ms, i dont want to check VR how it will goes, if they doesnt repair all bugs of day 1 of dcs 2.9

@@jacobdoolan4978 Im not normal gamer, I spend much time to be a heli support/recon/cas and last destroy radars for them. Its a specific to fly, you should try on trial. Read a little history about Falkalands and Av8b.

What is that Red Recital on the target? Is that a mod of some kind or head tracking?
It something I put in when I’m editing… I find it makes it easier for the viewer to know what I’m looking at. More so do those that watch on their phones
how do you get the fps counter? i use nvidia for it but i feel like its slowing my game down

Is there any that you have right now? Personally, I like the Viggen because it has a/a a/g and a/s capability but most player get the F5 for blue team
For red team I would stick with the MiG 21 most player like it
For helos I would main stick with the Hind on red team because of all the weapon and features it has
Blue team has the gazelle as a scout/attack helicopter. Where the Huey is more of a troop transport
Definitely go on DCS website where you can actually do a free 14 day trial for most, if not all of these modules

Hi Guys, Can I just ask a couple of noob question, I own a couple of DCS Aircraft on steam if I purchase the Phantom from Heatblur's website will it run on steam version of DCS.
Also is steam version of DCS compatible with the none version of steam DCS, I mean can I join any multiplayer server. Thanks.
I want to say it’s compatible with the DCS website not steam, but I’m not 100% sure. I would suggest going onto ED discord and ask
@@DTMCRAZYGAMING I've been able to confirm it on DCS Discord, if I play on steam I need to purchase on steam, however I can download DCS from their website, which would allow me to run the pre-order copy of the F4 when it's available and port over my two steam aircraft. From now on I'll purchase my aircraft from DCS. Thanks for the help.

I’m sorry but I actually forgot how I found out about this. But check out Century-Series Lounge discord page. They will help. It’s 3 switches turned on and I dial above them set to normal on the right panel. Then hot key the IFF identification switch to interrogate to see who is friendly or not
What is the weird red targeting icon that keeps popping up, is that in the game or are you adding that in post?
Oh I add that in post to show viewers where that target is. Viewers that watch it on their phone have a harder time seeing the targets

For heatblur, I’ll make an exception. Nothing is perfect at launch, but they have definitely shown they care about quality and function.
If they have everything with weapons available on launch, it may be worth it. Unlike the F15E which is lacking in weapon choices. That’s why I haven’t bought it yet
im not sure how worthy the mod is to train with as the flight model is lilkely nowhere near as good as heatblurs

Spotting aircraft from a distance made VR flying impossible. Its ugly, breaks immersion and realism.
I personally haven’t tried VR in DCS… I’m sorry to hear that it’s impossible

You can turn it off in options
