Love your videos. So peaceful! I wanted to know if you were canning basil for pesto…? I would love to have that recipe! Oh my goodness. I put pesto on everything. Last night I put it on my broccoli and added in sungold tomatoes I dehydrated from last year. So delicious! I suppose you would just chop the basil and add the rest of the ingredients later?

The more I watch of this the more time and energy I can see you’ve put into it. Here in Aus it’s summer and the height of growing season so I’ve only watched sections at a time but it’s provided a much needed reprieve from the activity and clamour of summer.

I just came across this video, I realize it's been a while since it was published... Traditional Chinampas were made by driving willow stakes for the perimeter. Willow that is harvested from living plants and then driven into the lake bottom will root in. A living system of tree roots was used to contain the chinampas. Hopefully this info is useful to you or anyone else reading :)
