May Update - My Health Journey
I have some good news to share about my health progress. My A1C level has decreased to 5.3, which is well within the normal range. This improvement is reflected in my fasting glucose average, which was 96 in April. I am still taking Metformin and Ozempic, so it's not solely the result of diet adjustments, but it appears that I am no longer experiencing glucose spikes, even when testing half an hour after meals, where my blood sugar often registers under 100.
Additionally, my cancer has not returned, though there is a small cyst on my kidney that requires monitoring. In terms of weight management, I've reached 280.8 pounds as of April 30th. My weight loss has slowed slightly in April, likel...

    It is so great your weight is dropping and your diabetes is getting 'better'. I tried keto once and I just couldn't stick with it long term. I ended up with lotsa reflux etc cause of the high fat content. For me that's the problem with keto - not sustainable. I had more success with kind of a lower carb option that did have me in ketosis via a blood draw test where I ate carby food (oat meal) for breakfast and salady stuff for lunch and dinner. That is no starches like bread, potatoe, corn etc. I was able to eat beans though. I remember I was allowed fruit (berries) for breakfast and an apple or orange at lunch. So in no way as strick as 30 carb a day, but probably around 50 or 60. This way of eating did keep me in ketosis. Weird now that I think of it. Im also super impress how you have keeps the steps and active calories up. Don't let a small bump in the road derail you. Keto is hard! And sometimes it's wize to let the body rest.

    • @JohnHewittpoewar
      @JohnHewittpoewar 2 месяца назад

      Thank you! I am lucky enough not to have reflux most of the time, so that hasn't been an issue. I know that once I reach a certain state with my blood sugars, they give you a little bit more leeway, but I am trying my best to follow their plan. In the end, I have a hard time believing finer is a bad thing, but for now, I want to give it the best chance at success.

      A procedure is the a list of the steps the user has to take to complete a task of some sort. Step 1: Do this Step 2: Do that Step 3: See the results Additonally, the procedure may list prerequisites or other requirements that must be met before the user can complete the procedure. I'm currently working on going to the gym consistently, taking breaks during the work day, and reducing desserts. It's going ok. I've been to the gym 4 days a week for the past 3 weeks, id like to be at 5 days a week. Taking breaks during the work day is still hit or miss. Dessert is the hardest, is like to get back to frozen fruit for dessert instead of ice cream.

I know it sounds crazy, but it can be very helpful. Being a 6'1" man, you aren't going to need less than 2,000 calories a day, especially with exercise.
