When I think of Gilmore Girls, I think of Sookie or Kirk. For some reason, specifically that moment when Lorelei is on the phone with Rory and says she has to go because someone is standing uncomfortably (?) close to her and Rory replies “ok, say hi to Kirk for me”

Entering her grandparents world, is when her downfall began. She soon realized how easy life could be with money, and not having to work for anything.

I don’t think their “pick mes” I think they both have their issues when it comes to things. One of Lorelai’s bad traits is her commitment issues and the fact that sometimes she can truly be child ish to a point where it’s not funny but annoying but over all she’s one of the best moms in TV history (My opinion). When it comes to Rory her problem is the fact that she body shames a lot of people ( more specifically girls) for example the when she compared a ballerina to a hippo on her article. Which shows that she’s quick to judge others but when she’s judged (by Logan’s father & family) she can’t take it and drops out. Never mind the fact that she genuinely enjoys being the other girl or the mistress.

It's okay for girls to like things and have a fantasy world without putting them down. I promise

300 hours is less than 2 full months of work. Since she's not in school and her grandparents are providing housing, food, etc. that should be no problem for her. I hate Rory and Logan individually and then also they bring out the worst in each other.

Everybody hating on Serena in the comments because “she’s a bad person”. They all were. And I think that is what made it so entertaining. The show was meant to be scandalous and expose people’s secrets. If all of them were saints then it wouldn’t have been nearly as iconic as it was during its time. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Hear me out, Rory was always a bad person. She was privileged but never acknowledged that. She had such a supportive mom & grandparents but choose to hurt them. Why? Just because of her own inconvenience. She was also an spoiled brat imo. Might sound rude but yeah. And of course she cheated multiple times with multiple people on multiple people. She might be an nice role model for academic achievement but she was just an another mean, spoiled kid.

Thanks for the video. But no, I don't think that one moment in Rory's life sent a message to her that set her up for a downfall. Lorelai was humbled by her mistakes, and showed it, but somehow Rory never modeled her mother's behavior that way. She found a high horse and got on it whenever she messed up. It was always someone else's fault. How dare they be in the way of the wreckage from her bad choices and how dare they not give in to her demands? If they did another AYITL, I wonder what Rory would look like?

Lane and Lindsay were done so dirty. When I was a pre-teen I was so annoyed by Lindsay because we saw her through the eyes of judgemental and jealous Rory. As I grew up I'm full on the side of Lindsay. She was cheated on, gaslighted on, hated on for just living and then thrown away. Lindsay deserved the same respect, love and attention Rory got. I love Gilmore Girls because of nostalgia but as a 35 year old woman, Rory and Lorelai became the villains to me.

The show does not hold up except for the ambience of Stars Hollow, which is a cozy setting. Irl, these girls would be too much, specifically Lorelai. She always seems on, and I guess that’s a testament to the actress. But it just screams attention seeker. Rory was never as charismatic but was a breath of fresh air after so much energy from her mom. Rory is definitely a bad amalgamation of her mom and grandparents. Her constant cheating is terrible , especially when she is doing it in the four episode special after the series.

There is an endless amount of boring videos on Rory as a character but not enough out there about Lane and Mrs Kim. Thanks for talking about this.

I think the biggest misconception about feminism is that it's about women being able to chose. It's not about that, that comes later, after the fight to have equal rights, which is what feminism is, a fight for rights and against discrimination towards women

I don’t understood, why are we analysing the character? It was clearly written the way we saw it, to be imperfect. Just because someone is good in academia doesn’t mean in other aspects of her life it’s gonna excel. I think the show is written amazingly, it show us how imperfect we are even if we go about and think we have it all. Rory was meant to have a downfall as every teenager out there, she had a pretty normal life with lies, cheats and privilege. I don’t want to blame Lorelai either, she always put her on a throne maybe the downfall was that. When Rory had to make her own decision she couldn’t express them. Maybe having such friendly relationships with your mother doesn’t help with your grow, and the we see the opposite relationship that also doesn’t help the one Lorelai and Emily have. That’s why the show is called Gilmore girls.

I don't entirely blame Rory for how she is...her mom was the one who raised her to think she is a perfect princess and the gem of the town who can do no wrong....
