Like someone else said, not on any incel tip, (using my girlfriend's account to post this) but I think you've picked up on things that you like to see (which I liked to see too) at the cost of missing a lot of the key themes of this series. i.e. Paul's gender. Don't want to say more to avoid spoilers.
The Reverend Mothers don't actually communicate back in time, they contain the memories of all of their predecessors. As for Dune Messiah, Dune pt3, or whatever they call it, you're going to have fun with Alia & Hayt! 😁
Oh for real? I thought they were somehow able to communicate- so does that mean Paul was just lucky with the whole time? I’m really looking forward to it haha!
@Silverscreenfreak No, the Bene Gesserit are master manipulators and seeded messiah stories throughout the galaxy so they could easily control the people. Paul & his Mother knew this & Jessica used the tales with the Fremen so that Paul could control them. With the spice, Paul was getting prescient visions of futures and feared the bloodshed that would be carried out in his name. After he took the Waters of Life (And survived) he awakened as a Kwisatz Haderch (A male Reverend Mother) and could see all the possible futures. He picked out the path that was best for mankind and becoming Emperor and the oncoming Jihad, was the path. In the books he doesn't have the guts to see the Golden Path through to its conclusion and that's left for someone else to follow.
@@SilverscreenfreakPaul wasn't lucky (well he kinda was since Jessica decided that he will be a boy and not a girl like she was told to do but that's a different story), he has visions of the future but, to put it shortly, that's a power only specific kind of people trained in bene gesserit's way can achieve. There is a dialogue between Paul and the Reverend Mother at the begging of the first book that explains it pretty well - I really recommend giving reading the series a try
You seem like a nice girl, but there is so much wrong about dune and the movies in this video that i cant even put it in one comment. I might make a video myself on it. Again, nothing personal.
@@Silverscreenfreak Quite a bit that it would be like a whole article in the comments, so ill probably make a video on it. And it wont be an incel video about the strong woman stuff, I'm talking mostly about the actual lore and what really happened in the movies and books.
@@SilverscreenfreakTwo big things: Yeh, lots of scheming women but its a vengeful egotistical & super powerful boy who uses all their BS to mess up all their BS. More importantly the overarching theme of dune is the timeless debate of determinism v free choice. Specifically, someone makes up a prophecy & someone chooses to fulfil it. In doing so, the prophecy was true & if that's the case that someone's fate was actually sealed. It's circular... like many time travel movies. I liked your video though.
@@radekhruby142 I mean I understand that because by the end of the film paul is full of power, but the point is that he’s looking like a major ick lord instead. Mans ego is showing and as someone who hasn’t read the books and didn’t know what to expect it kinda echoes how frail and dangerous a man’s ego can be
@@Silverscreenfreak I would say not to focus on the man vs woman aspect. Instead, I will quote what the author of the book said and this is not a spoiler but a hint in which direction it will go in the next movie: “I wrote the Dune series because I had this idea that charismatic leaders ought to come with a warning label on their forehead: "May be dangerous to your health." One of the most dangerous presidents we had in this century was John Kennedy because people said "Yes Sir Mr. Charismatic Leader what do we do next?" and we wound up in Vietnam. And I think probably the most valuable president of this century was Richard Nixon. Because he taught us to distrust government and he did it by example.”
