Aren’t these just compound exercises? Not hating at all, I am a big believer in compound lifts myself. Here is my weekly workout routine down below. Lower body Day: 5x5 Back Squats 3x5 Goblet Squats with Dumbbell 3x10 Goblet Squats with Kettlebell 3x10 Front Squats with Bulgarian Bag 5x5 Conventional Deadlifts 3x5 Trap Bar Deadlifts Upper body Day: 3x5 Dumbbell Chest Press on Flat Bench 5x5 Benchpress 3x5 Overhead Press 3x10 Lat Pulldowns 3x10 Lat Seated Rows Powerlifting Day: 5x5 Benchpress 5x5 Back Squats 5x5 Conventional Deadlifts

Obviously wouldn't be as efficient but would this also work with a normal stationary bike?

You can train 7x per week on this approach actually - this split gives you the ability to implement things like aerobic conditioning on non-lifting days.

Its seems to me that most of these coaches (so called) with mainly bodybuilding backgrounds dont know anything about conditioning. The coaches that I know that have athletic backgrounds in football, basketball, lacross, rubgy, ect. incorporate some type of conditioning element in their programs any chance they get. I also think that these people dont train anybody in person.

Great video, one comment on the 10 rep accessory work is to use a weight for 10 reps which you could maybe do 11 or 12 reps max and perform 5x10's with. No more than two minutes rest between sets. This also builds strength and aerobic endurance thus allowing increased weight over the 6 week cycle. But definitely not doing more than 15 reps, which means not enough resistance.

I’ve seen tons of fat people who do “high intensity” workouts religiously. I’ve yet to see a fat person who does some form of zone 2 consistently
Certainly a lot of factors to consider why that would be the case.
So can you do interval conditioning after strength work or is that not great either? I got limited time of the week to get to the gym.
@@raymondsmith2040 anaerobic work is a better, but I’m assuming what you’re referring to is not. If you have limited time you may want to think about using a different training split - I have a full video on this

What does that breakdown to for you in terms of time (20 miles) per week?
I agree. I am 46 and want to be strong and be able to run long distances. I can’t do 2 a day workouts there has to be a better hybrid split

I'm guessing you mean how long would it take? Not sure, depends on you, your commitment, your nutrition, and a myriad of other factors. Most people can have a massive change in 24 weeks though.

This program used to be a subscription and now is a one-time program. I'd do the program one time then move on to my all access program.
Thanks. I have great front rack mobility but my thumbs (CMC join) hurts when heavy. This helps a lot

Crossfit is the example of hybrid training.... And results speak for itself
Hybrid training is a form of concurrent training and is still optimal for separating anaerobic from aerobic exercise -the interference effect is a real thing, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Nice! Just what i needed to explain it.
I actually really like how. Marcus Philly programs like a CNS activation before every workout. I find that it helps activate the muscles and fires up my system and allows me to lift heavier and smoother opposed to putting it at the end
I understand the intent, but the window for CNS prep is small, usually 3-8 minutes. This phenomenon is called activation potentiation.
