You win some you lose some. This was a LONG weekend. Over 600 miles weighing in at over 30,000lbs. Some painful miles with only 4 cylinders. All in all it could be much worse and I will be back to do it better next time

Drifting a forbidden track | Breaking my turbo e36 | Building a new turbo
Home mechanic? I've always assumed the day job involved some form or mechanicism (not a word, but hey). Now I'm very curious as to what the day job is.
Awesome tour thank you for sharing
Just picked up a core one of these for 100$ with a cracked piston. Thinking of what to do with it. I think an old mini truck would be a great fit!
If you want your socket drawer setup a little better check out toolgrid, I swapped to their system about a year ago and it’s held up really good and is so much better than having your stuff in random spots. I believe 2 plates and a random assortment of the pegs for sockets was only about 70 bucks
Hell yeah man, make it happen. I was getting that same lathe vibration when I tried to shorten an 8.8 axle, but it was cutting terrible and loosening the chuck nut. Even with a carbide tool
This video is obviously fake! It’s not 6:09 p.m.! Not even close! It’s 1:20p.m.!
I will say the drawer slide issue you mention, my series 1 3 bank does the same thing and it has only become worse. Still plenty usable but sometimes you really need to pull on it.
Sweet, congrats on the newer box! Thanks for the video
Beautiful work, not butchered anywhere, I luv it .
Those ends look the business. They should work well. I remember that gearbox. I converted my legacy to 2wd after watching your conversion vid. accelerates faster now, but It's still slow as hell, haha
Hey cool video. What kind of clutch are you running, do you have to change clutch frequently? Thanks!
Cool project, reminds me of my thing. I took and put a obxt 5 speed in a old GL. For my purposes I machined a clip in stub axle to accept the spring clip and plug in. I also machined an STI differential to fit in the 5mt. It only needs 5mm take off each side IIRC and then it drops in. It's a helical LSD and the car now skips at full lock in parking lots 😎
lol 12:30 god those are cute
Another solid video, Just straight to the point with everything! We released a portable air pump. Can we invite you to do a review? We have reached out to for an inquiry
Awesome work, those looks nice!
Old school formula. Beer+tools =buggy
Fantastic video
Buggy! All of the videos a great, thanks for the content!
Geez man!! You can make anything out of anything. I know who I'm getting a hold of during a apocalypse!!!
Cant wait to see more buggy videos again!!
If you start using east coast time and finish on mountain time it’ll go quicker.
Very cool man that turned out super nice i really enjoy when you bust out the machining. I got a 10" Atlas lathe so i feel your paint with that haha
you may find out that those type of cv's won't have enough travel for the extreme angle you have on your axles. if you don't you will have to go to the non-plunging type 930 cv they have quite a bit more travel and are stronger because of that. AS far as I know they can only be purchased from RCV. They are around 300.00 dollars each.
I suspect he might be using both telescopic shaft and the plunge CVs to get that articulation. Doubtless he's already done the math for all this, plunge and flex
Awesome
Some people call you dude. Great video I can fix the brake line. I only have one trailer will never need a power lbleeder so I will probably take it in for that after I fix the brake line unless you have any other suggestion.
With 2 people you can bleed these without a power bleeder. I used a prybar stuck into the safety chain to compress the tongue while someone else cracks the bleeder. Its an awkward motion but only takes a few pumps to bleed 1 wheel fully. Also you can use the emergency lever for this task depending on the design of your hydraulic coupler. Mine has a plate that locks the brakes on so I remove that plate and use the lever to pump them. Then reinstall plate. Good luck you got this!
@@spankranchgarage thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I appreciate it.
414mi is 666km there’s your problem right there. Truck looks good working💪 nice video
Oh wow! That must be why bad things keep happening on this trip. Thanks for watching!
My boom cylinder is doing this!
Crack a line and try! Its free!
Forget aluminum wheels. Get a set of stainless steel wheel simulators and keep the stock wheels. Just had a flat on the front of my Chevy 3500. That's a lot of fun taking a rear wheel off to swap on the front by the side of the interstate with traffic flying by at 70 mph.
Ugh I know I took a step in the wrong direction here. Im sure my day will come as well
Looks like an LS pushrod for a t handle.
Spot on!! From an old LQ4 6.0
Got a free rs5500, previous owner checked the oil while it was running. Has low to no compression. Any thoughts?
Thats strange man. Id pull the rocker cover off and make sure a valve isnt stuck open. Ive seen that before (A shim fell out and got jammed after a backfire). I would think checking the oil while running is a coincidence.
@@spankranchgarage Will do. Appreciate the reply.
@@spankranchgarage Adjusted the valves, started on the second pull. Appreciate your insight and opinion.

More interior room for princess spanky 🐾
It’s so cool that 2 of your very different interests (bagged out dozer and milling equipment) align so well. What a fulfilling project and accomplishment.
If I wanna buy junk I need the machines/tools to fix them! Thanks for watching.
I am just embarking on the same problem thank you for pointing me in the right direction I will let you know how this goes❤
Well that didn't take too long to sort out ended up being a bad fuel line above the fuel cooler where the flex line from the feed side of the fuel tank meets the steel line 👍
Glad you fixed it!
There are definitely a few similarities, however that’s not a Bradford bed
How sure are you? It’s from the mid 2000s. I can’t confirm or deny either way but the hardware and design is so similar to what Bradford still builds.
gaining back the interior is huge
you sould ad the broken tensioner pipe over the smaller one, to support a little and look the same as the other side
Really good video, great ideas, even better execution.
You think the tuner was getting a false lamba reading? The sensor seems really far down the exhaust
Nice work
Awesome video
Pushrod for the handle
Nice work! Are those tight radius elbows these ones from Wagner? Steel Flush-Weld 90° Elbow with 1-1/2" Inside Radius for 1.50" Tube OD
Yup thats them!
Looks like a VW push rod but could be any push rod.
Plasma! Prob would have worked tits for removal. I bought a $90 job that has been great
👍. 🇨🇦
Neat build, I would have taken the easy route on fastening those boxes and used nutserts. I'm just that lazy.
I wondered that too. They are a nightmare if they spin, but a quick tack weld prevents that
Love a good flatbed build and love a new spankranch vid even more
Where did you get the drawers for the drivers side front tool box?
I made it from a craftsman box I got from the trash. Check it out it works sweet. I built a custom toolbox for my flatbed from SCRAP JUNK ruclips.net/video/_ASgTfeYCyw/видео.html
Stoked for a new video! Love the content buddy
More to come! Thank you!
