Must be tried by every amateur cook at least once. Jack The Greek takes on the process of dry ageing meat and cooks up a storm on the CrossRay BBQ. Kept it simple, 6 minutes on each side complemented by a a few mushrooms as a side dish. You will never taste meat again this good!

Had to give it a go! Cooking a full lamb on the CrossRay BBQ was obviously going to be a test but also a challenge. Opa! Firstly size does matter so to fit a 7kg Lamb in the CrossRay BBQ was a breeze! Secondly the challenge was .. will it cook all the way through? Just bought our Crossray. Same as yours. I'm finding it challenging to know which burners to keep high, low etc. The temp gets way too hot. Would love you to do a tutorial on this for different cuts of meat, seafood, vegetables etc.

Have a bottle. Trying to get a temp of 180 degrees for example is challenging. I have burners 1 & 2 (as per booklet) on low and it goes up to 250+ Spoke to someone who mentioned to put the dial close to the off position... it's learning how it works.

@@user-zk1zf6xh2f thats unusual. I would call the service team and check with them. Im not a pro on this but what about your regulator on your gas hose, is that working ok?

Hi Jack, how would the crossray BBQ go at searing meat? I do alot of Sous Vid cooking and looking for a searing station vs a bbq. I've been told the design of the crossray provides super fast direct searing, what do you think? thanks Brad

Hey mate , great looking food , I want to buy one of those crossray bbqs , do the put a lot of heat out the back ? How far is yours sitting from the timber fence ?
Coming from a Croatian born and raised on the Adriatic coast: grilled or fried red mullet a.k.a. Barbouni/Barbon/Brabuni (Croatian /Triglia/Trilja (Croatian) are my best, finest, most succulent and tasteful fish of them all. I can never get enough, a kilo or a kilo and a half per lunch is my minimum. No frills, just some salt and Triestina sauce. And, of course, a bottle of Babic or Plavac Mali 🍷🍷🍷
Jack, I brought a CrossRay BBQ from Bunnings because you think it's so fantastic, but mine is an incinerator! If I was to set mine to high even from cold and come back 10 mins later that duck would be a burnt charcoaled mess. I can't even cook a roast chicken on mine on low with only the back burner on without burning it. The only way I can cook a rotisserie is to have the meat all the way to one side with that side burners off and just have the opposite side burners on low or just one on low. I did this with a small pork leg the other day and then at the end i turned one burner on the side the pork was on to try and get crackling, but a grease fire started and ruined the roast! The only thing the CrossRay BBQ is good for is searing and cooking steaks hot and quick, it burns everything else even on low. The CrossRay BBQ is $2000 rip off and you are promoting it as a great item. You either have an earlier model to mine that was different or you are a fraud!?
THEY ONLY PROMOTE THINGS FOR THE MONEY...MOST ARE LYERS AND FRAUDS
I was going to get the Crossray but ended up getting the Napoleon 525 in stainless steel from Joes at Silverwater. Napoleon you have total control and a sear burner on the left hand side which aslo is used as a shelf. Was about $200 more than the Crossray.
@@justnik8727 You probably made a wise choice. The crossray is not an all-round BBQ, it is only good for searing steaks and would probably be only worth the money in a steak house when used only for searing and cooking steaks insanely hot.

This is so helpful. I’ve been trying to cook potatoes under my rotisserie on top of the grill plates and it’s too close/they burn. Such a good idea to remove them and cook them in the bottom. Σας ευχαριστώ

Everything burns on my CrossRay except quickly cooked steaks. The thing is an incinerator and belongs in a morgue!

Traditionally Tava is usually made with potatoes, not rice. That’s how my mother used to make it 😅
Not ‘lefkaritiko’, it also uses rice.

Sheftalia, the world's finest sausage. I spent two years in Cyprus, Her Majesty paid me to do it, honest. I do not like sausage, at all. Sheftalia, I would almost kill for it.
