Thanks Jack, good video you kept it simple enough even for me to understand. Married to a wonderful Cypriot girl/woman for 50 yrs we’ve lived in an inland rural Cypriot village for the last 22 yrs where I’m the token Brit, sadly she died last year and I’m just now beginning to re enter life and think seriously about food again. One of my favourite Cypriot foods has always been Kolokasi, I’ve bought it cleaned it but never cooked it fully myself until now. Success and Delicious thanks to your recipe👍 PS. I can find all sorts of stuff including Kolokasi and believe it or not in a country filled with lemon trees, I’ve three of my own ‘lemons from China’ in our one Cypriot village shop but never full size celery even in season. My older than me, and that’s really old Cypriot brother in law a retired chef told me to always look for Kolokasi with two root circular patterns at the base when buying as he maintained that it’s the male and female of the plant, if it us or not I don’t know but it always tastes better and takes a lot less time to cook. Many Thanks Paul
Really sorry for your loss Paul. As a half English Cypriot I lost my Cypriot father in 2020 and I'd wish I'd watched him more when he was cooking but I'm going to give this one a go. Take care, look after yourself and all the best 🇨🇾
Thank you Chris, greatly appreciated. Good Luck with the cooking, it’ll never be the same as your fathers but no Cypriot I’ve ever met cooks the same as any other Cypriot and it’ll be your interpretation of your fathers cooking. Kindest Regards Paul.@@ChrisTheSparky
In india the leaves are prepared as fritters. As they kind of cut the throat so animals avoid eating them. lime is used to cancel their roughness. They are wrapped with gram flour paste and prepared as fritters- "pathravade"

u can also use chicken or minced meat instead of pork.
You should tell them no to washing the kolokasi
