god bless enjoy it's a very pleasant crochet experience 💗
A multiple of 8+1 would give you 17 (8 X 2=16 plus 1 is 17). Correct?
Really appreciate your time and effort in helping us tackle this beautiful, complicated stitch. Wonderful tutorial!
Hi
I’m a real newbie at crocheting. I’d just like to thank you for your outstanding tutorial. I’m a visual learner so this helps people like me immensely. Your voice is lovely not at all grating and your directions precise and easy to follow.
Beautiful pattern! Very clear instructions! Thank you! However, I was not able to find this stitch pattern on your blog. I saw many fan and something else stitches, but not fan and v stitch. Maybe its named something else on your blog? or i completely missed it?
your patterns are easy and beautiful with any type yarn. thank you so much. I have gotten sooo many. I have lots of afghans to make for the holidays.
Just looking at the pattern it looks as if it would be very difficult to make, just watching you making it a lot easier to do 😁very pretty
Sincerely,
Jessie

Do you have the pattern to download? Need to know how many to chain across if I am making a 48 x 52 blanket?
Hermoso y muchas gracias
Thanks for clear guidance..... very good tutor thanks once again 😁
You’re very welcome :)
I love your tutorials very much ❤
Gorgeous!
Have you got ladies cardigan tuition because I am new to crochet and don't know how to make neck and underarm decrease?
That is such a pretty blanket I’m making it out of the marble cakes from Karen God bless you
Such a beautiful stitch
I agree!
Beautiful Stitch similar to the shell stitch. Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome!
This is very nice looking yarn! Can you tell me which yarn you're using? It has a wonderful stitch definition!
Hello dear love your fan v pattern I want to baby blanket do you have the finished sample plz really appreciate it very much X🤗
I love this stitch. It is just what I was looking for. Thank you.
This looks difficult. I’m definitely trying it!!
Im curious about the way you turn your chain. I was taught different, will this pattern still work? I guess its called the spine you were working, do i need to do that too to make this pattern work?
One row of fans with a few beads at the top of each fan makes a beautiful necklace.
It would be beautiful!
I will send.a pic.
@@KR211 sorry. I can't get it to upload.I'll keep trying
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
Not my favorite but will try this.
Hello I'd like to ask a question. I would like to build this pattern on a couple of single crochet rows. How can I start? I'm also changing colors. So is it ok if I make a standing single crochet for the start?
Can this use for a Cardington
I don’t know why every time I do a shell pattern mine comes out puffy while everyone else’s is clean. For example on mine you can’t see the hole that I looped the fan part in.
I love this, but whene can a change color!!
Very nice stitch
I’m glad you like it :)
beautiful tutorial! how would i work this same stitch pattern but for a triangular shawl? i found something similar at the thrift store and i'm desperately trying to figure out the pattern! please help thanks!
Love this stitch, thinking of making a wrap, mainly for the evening. Any tips on what yarn to use. Many thanks.
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
This is pretty..I have a few questions..1.) When you chain the 5, that you later use to make this pattern, as I continue to stitch, it gets all bunched up..should you chain MORE than just 5 so it won't curl the yarn? 2.) a whole 9 dbl crochet stitches in one hole is a lot! Can it be decreased without losing the integrity of the design? Please, I am loving the gorgeous look..I'm new to this, so I apologies in advance.
Would have been nice to see a reply to this...such a great question. I experienced the same with the 'bunching' up, I think I'll try what you suggested about adding an extra chain etc...sounds good
@@helena.3472 I see she doesn’t answer a lot of questions for her viewers. Not Good
@@flgirl250 Hmmm
Same happen to me , but only in the 1st row.
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
Bellissima. Per caso hai la foto dello schema
Hi there just came across your tutorial thank you
I am hoping to make a blanket for baby using this stitch can you tell me the number of stitches (multiples) I need to ensure I always end with correct stitch etc? Is it chain in multiples of 22?
Sorry don’t find this pattern on your site, can you tell me where to find it?
I have started this stitch three times and frogged it three times. Between my first fan and the sc, I have a huge dip. I've counted several times and I can't find an error. Do you have any suggestions?
Beautiful! I would love to do at least three rows as a border for a blanket I’m almost done with. How will the corners work? Please help!
It would look gorgeous as a boarder, I would have to sit down with it for a bit to figure it out. It may be a few days!
@@RichTexturesCrochet thank you for replying. Much appreciated. ❤
@@cherryblossom4299 Hello I'd like to do this as a border too on a large blanket. I can't find the tutorial for the corners you requested. Any help for me please?
Love from Ireland
@@RichTexturesCrochet Hello did you do the Border tutorial for this stitch? Brilliant idea from cherry blossom. I can't find this as a Border. Help please.
Love from Ireland
What about working in the rounds? How would u do it
If I want to color change would i do it after the shell rows?
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
Are the patterns printed somewhere or do we have to write them down?
Unfortunately they are not written on my blog, but many of them at common stitches and can be found with a google search
does multiples of 8+1 mean 9 or multiples of 8 and then at the end add 1??
Multiples of 8 and then add 1 extra at the end :)
I'm trying to find the written pattern for this
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
Do you have a pattern for a bag with this stitch?
Hello how're you doing today hope you're safe due to the covid 19 pandemic?
Trying to find this fan and v stitch pattern. Link takes me to page full of ads :(
Unfortunately I do not have a written tutorial for this stitch yet
So is it 8 plus 1 or 8 plus 2????
If starting from the chain it’s 8 + 2. If you are wanting to add this stitch into the middle of a project, you’ll need a stitch count of 8 + 1
Is any reason why the 1st row is to tight ? Thank you .
Everyone has a different tension. If you ever have this problem just in the foundation chain, you can go up a hook size (from a 5 mm to a 6mm). But I would go back down to 5 after the foundation row.
@laurelgirard8475 I see you replying to a lot of the unanswered questions, and I just wanted to thank you.
Does this stitch usea lot of yarn? Thanx!
It’s not too bad!
@@RichTexturesCrochet Thank you!! Lovely work by the way :)

Fan and v stitch crochet
What size hook should be used?
For this tutorial I used a 6 mm crochet along with the Caron x Pantone yarn
You need to be more vigilant on being precise of the row numbers you made two mistakes thinking they were the row before and that can really throw off people .
18 Isn't A Multiple Of 8 🤔 Or Is My Math Off ?
It's multiples of 8 (so 16) +1 and then +1 for the foundation chain = 18
You got your rows all saying wrong!!
