      Your questions are indeed valid, but in this initial hands-on review, I've primarily focused on first impressions rather than delving deeply into the components and upgradeability. Have a look here; you might find it helpful: psref.lenovo.com/Product/IdeaPad/IdeaPad_Pro_5_14IMH9

    Nice review. One question though: is that display glossy or matte? Really if it were matte I'd be a dealbreaker for me. The product page says "reflective" but every other review but yours seems to have a matte display. Since you're in Germany and I'm in Portugal, the model is probably the same. So, just to make sure, this display is glossy right?

      Hi, thanks! Glad you found it helpful. Yes I can confirmed that unit in the video had glossy panel, but you need to go for and OLED in order to get glossy panel. IPS versions come with matte screen

    Could you please comment on fan noise and battery life? Are the fans off when watching RUclips?

    • @Decoding_Labs
      @Decoding_Labs  7 месяцев назад +2

      Now, this is my favorite topic. On PCs, fans are very rarely off, but I must say that Meteor Lake is the first platform in years where I can confirm that the PC can stay very quiet for most tasks, and even while gaming or under heavy workloads. Based on my extensive testing, there's no more jet engine noise!
      As far as battery life is concerned, I wasn't permitted to conduct any extensive tests on it, since this Ideapad was an engineering sample. However, once I have access to a retail unit, I plan to thoroughly evaluate battery performance under various conditions and share the results with you. Stay tuned for a more detailed analysis in the future.

    Thank you for a great video! I don't want to sound like an a-hole but that mick is not supposed to be used so close to the source. You can get away with it if you put a highpass-filter on it(post processing). But for the best result, back ut up a bit and gain it up to compensate for the volume drop.

    I am actually owning this device (the version with the i7 and rtx 3050). Its a good device but the biggest downsides are in my opinion the battery life and the soldered ram. I'm getting a battery life of around 2-6 hours depending on display brightness (my device has a 3k ips display).
    That's pretty less for a new laptop. However, its a powerful device though. It works well with windows and ubuntu.
