I swear I love the way Josh does comedy!! He throws some education, reflection, realism, reality and of course so much humor!!! I can't think of anyone funnier, anyone more on point, and anyone more relevant than he is when he does his thing.
The true mark of a great comedian is being able to take the crowd on a ride down multiple tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with one another until the end when it's tied up in a neat bow with where the journey actually started so it all correlates. You have that in spades my friend. Cant wait for a Vegas show!!!! 🙌❤️🔥

I really haven't heard anyone be as thoughtful about the way the heightened fame of like 90's superstars was and has changed. Thanks for sharing Josh, you're great.
Josh Johnson is my new favorite comedian. No other comedian I know of is putting out sets consistently new and consistently funny as him. I can’t even imagine how funny a special would be…
I cackled SO hard imagining him picking up the cards on instinct. I guess we take some things for granted. It would've given me a good friendly chuckle in the moment.
@@quirkyviperWhen he said she started "dealing the cards" it automatically made me chuckle. Technically it is true, i do deal cards. Just don't want anyone to think I'm gambling with their future. Lol
That snapping and inability to remember who the celebrity is from the 90s is so damn accurate. I love how he spoke on just the landscape of the entertainment business now. I too think “old Hollywood” is done. I think for new artists it’s harder to get in the industry hence why they are taking the internet route.
Josh is one of the best comedians out there right now. He truly has his own style. Intelligent. Down to earth. Eloquent. Well-spoken and articulate. You should contact Al Franken, you’ve got a future in politics!
Josh has the most GENIUS🤯LEVEL comedic😂timing that I have ever witnessed. The effortless, nonchalant way he lets his JOKES🤡BREATHE is simply extraordinary😅..!
Indeeeed. He has the confidence to cultivate a mutual trust with his audience that allows him to unhurriedly delve into stretches of sincere irony-free musings with genuine thoughtfulness. Letcha forget forva moment that you're listening to stand-up, perhaps rather a really engaging story told by a friend that draws you in or a professorial philosophy lecture given by your favorite teacher who makes learning fun, and then Ka-Blam! Banger punchline! Usually one that isn't just funny but also employs some clever comedic device like in this instance the callback to Chekov's tarot card. Lmao. He's a master and a marvel to behold.
I’m going to be a fortune teller for a sec: Josh Johnson someday sitting in the Kennedy Center getting the Mark Twain prize. He has got to be the most prolific comedian out there.
Goldfish are carp... in the wild, 30-50 years, supposedly a famous koi fish lived like 200 years (sounds unlikely). Dogs range 7-20 years-ish? So I guess I'd prefer to be a goldfish in the wild, and a dog in captivity. Or, domesticity.
Apparently, according to the comments, goldfish can live a lot longer than we think (35+ years). And I think that makes his analogy even better. If someone is a goldfish, depending on the level of care and attention we give them they could last a week to many, many years. Outliving the dog we had that we thought would outlive the goldfish. We give these people attention online over stupid stuff (even negative attention) the longer that goldfish will be around. 😂
This one has some of my favourite zooms so far, lol. 7:23 made my abs hurt from laughing. Great set as always! Happy to see you met your 650k goal before the end of the month!! So well-deserved ❤
When...if you listen close enough between the laughs you can hear the "profound" thoughts in his sets of storytelling. We are at the beginning to witness something special. Keep it movin young king.👍🏾👏🏾
Josh Johnson is brilliant! Topical and thoughtful commentary with a great call-back to the psychic anecdote. So happy for him that the Daily Show has recognized his sharp mind.
I’ve watched all of his RUclips content and have gone to see him live and Josh is my absolute favorite young comedian. The psychic call back at the finale joke was hilarious and brilliant!
That callback to the psychic at the end there had me absolutely dying. I saw some of your stuff on the daily show first, then it popped up in my feed, you are now one of 2 comedians I actually subscribe to on youtube.
The way you describe culture and trends is so accurate and thought-provoking, then you weave humor in there and are truly carving out a unique form of comedy.
My brother in law had goldfish he kept in his classroom when he taught shop and ran the robotics team, they are still alive and he "retired" from teaching a year ago to be an engineer somewhere. He got him his first year and taught for over a decade.
Josh Johnson is a very handsome young man who acts like he has no idea how handsome he is. Then he starts talking and puts hilarious twists on deep introspections and societal observations, you'd think he had the mind of a 123 year old sage on a cover of a Zeppelin album, but he gave you asthma from laughing so hard! Amazing!
What you're describing is where your physical stomach is. I've had that pain several times, and it's super painful. It's from eating so much food, you hurt your stomach. Then it put your GI tract into evacuation mode 😅. Great set man. ❤
He's got the Chappelle callbacks to an earlier but as a finisher! (idk if he started it, I just remember him doing it a lot) It's fun to grow up with such a talented guy and watch him get better and better
The thing I like the most about the videos that you upload is the fact that we can clearly see how you are honing your craft. Seeing how you have now started linking jokes together, how you transition between jokes, and the wrap at the end. It's awesome to see the genuine improvement 💪
"ohh oh oh ohhhhhhohoh oh.... I think this is what the psychic saw" 😂😂😂 incredible comedian!!! Drew that shit out the whole set, I love it!!!!! 💜 Keep up the great work!
Josh has become our new daily news. I love how he builds and builds about an entire different subject relating to himself or us and then BOOM somehow it relates to whatever random topic that's going on currently. His ability to be so on trend mixed with random philosophy is super smart.
Bro😂, You were startin out at the Gotham Comedy Club back in 2021 and you said somethin bout “I just broke up with my girlfriend” for whatever reason and I was like “Oh Dear God,” and you were like, “Oh, I got an ‘Oh Dear God’ outta this,” 😂😂 And I laughed a deep laugh. The end. 😂😂😂
Tyra Banks taught us that on ANTM. The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. I can’t remember exactly what her monologue was but it was in the vein of ‘all press is good press’.
@JoshJohnsonComedy Your videos popped into my feed a few days ago and I can't stop watching or laughing. So funny! "I think this is what the psychic saw!" 😂 😂 😂 😂 Thank you!
I saw a psychic when I was 15 and she said I'd be a famous flutist. Which was nice. I'm not though, I never ever wanted to play a flute. I play guitar and I'm not famous at that either. She was a free psychic so that's what you get for free.
In the modern world, you could be recorded (without your knowledge) picking up a flute at a flea market as you remember that long ago psychic. At that moment, a criminal snatches the lady's purse who's next to you and, out of instinct, you knock him unconscious with the flute. This post gets snipped and shared after the video goes viral. Your story goes viral. A gofundme is st up for you and reaches 100k dollars. You donate it. That makes you more famous. Talk show appearances follow as you tell your story over and over, generating further donations to charities. One starts up in your name that gives instruments to children. You're known in 36 countries. Keanu Reeves calls you a "cool dude" when interviewed on set for a Cyberpunk short film. Two students get instruments from that non profit and start a band cald Wyld Stallyns in homage to Bill and Ted. They eventually save the world. Psychic lady was right.

I started caring about the news when Jon Stewart became the host of the Daily Show, and it's very evident this young man is following in the footsteps of the great. I care about the news and culture again because of him ❤😂
"Meat should never be a dollar." So true.
But horse is pretty good
Rat is a renewable resource
Y’all craycray 😂😂😂
Meat was a dollar not long ago. (I am fifty, it really was not long ago, to me)
@@TheChiraagG I have made shitload of phenomenal jerky from horsemeat. It's very lean and suitably dense.
Bringing that psychic back into the story, 25 minutes later...... PRICELESS!!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Love how he pulls that off. Its one of his trademarks ❤
Always a joy when you upload. I look forward to every video, knowing it’ll make me smile, something especially needed in these first few days of the new week. Your delivery and cadence is incredible, and I love the buildup, the slow payoff, and above all else, the simplicity of your jokes. Everything is so relatable, and even when it’s personal stories you walk us through so we feel like we’re right next to you, watching it happen.
Many times I have shaken my head with disbelief at how smooth your segues are, and how unique each one is. You’re probably my favorite comedian, not just on RUclips. You bring such a kind, warm energy that is so fun to participate in. Your consistency, especially given the steady output of new material, is unmatched. Keep it up!
Wow thank you for taking the time to write such nice things. This was really sweet. I’m trying and I thank you so much for supporting me.
You're literally the best ❤🎉🎉@@JoshJohnsonComedy
@@JoshJohnsonComedyLove the podcast Josh!
@@JoshJohnsonComedyyou’re the truth. Feels like we’ve been waiting on you for a long time. Been a fan since klan ribs. Thank you for sharing your mind with us. Good on you too, OP, for articulating what we’re thinking in such a positive, pleasant way.
@@JoshJohnsonComedy but relax on the zooms in these videos, too much , too distracting by far
Man you've got to be one of the hardest working in comedy as far as I tell. Constant fresh material in a new town. Grateful for your work and for posting
He also writes an exposition in the description. I don't understand how one person can have so much creativity to come up with multiple full sets weekly and the most contemplative video descriptions🤯
It aint that deep 😂
You made me read the description but I am not mad about it. Thank you!
How this man comes up with a 20-30 min relevant and hilarious set EVERY WEEK. It true talent. And I’m here for it! ❤
Congrats on making your milestone of 650K subs!
Thank you!
Yeah and before 31 August.
@@JoshJohnsonComedy- You deserve it!
I love that YOU are the first person I've heard explain anything about the HT girl, I had no idea!
I hate it when ppl get mad at someone when they made them famous. The hawk tuah was literally a bystander, she wasn’t a youtuber, and it wasn’t even her youtube channel. Like she was literally a civilian, she became famous bc WE made her famous, and wanted to know all her information like weirdos, and then ppl got mad, like what?
Dude, for REAL! She won an election she wasn’t even running in and people got mad when she didn’t want the job
And now she uses her platform as a right wing grift.
Who's "we"?
@@FelixMukthose who aren't as perfect as you, apparently
@@lazyfoxplays8503 common, i have not seen any thing that suggest she is right wing except that she is making lots of right decisions with her fame which is consistent with so called right wing values nowadays
Okay the snapping and pointing is too real. In our house it’s usually accompanied by a version of “it’s that dude from uhhhh…”
Josh is definitely one of the most talented comics working right now but can we take a moment to appreciate the comedic timing of the camera man and editor. That zoom in on the hand gestures and facial expressions gets me every time😂
This young man is brilliant. His delivery and cadence totally bring you into the story.
He will go a very long way in comedy.
I just got introduced to this guys channel. He is a great performer. The best comedians have always been the best story tellers.
That opening bit is technically perfect at the punchline. Man knows how to do his job!
Love watching your sets!!! My dad randomly sends me clips of you on Facebook (that I've often already watched on tiktok). The other night I went to get something from the freezer and saw him watching one of your sets on RUclips, and it just made me smile. You're so incredibly talented as a comedian and a storyteller. I can't tell you how blessed I feel to be able to watch your sets from home since my disabilities + chronic illness would make it hard to see shows in person. Love your work!!
That punchline! Josh is such a great story teller! There's the social commentary, the slice-of-life... it's just all great
I really haven't heard anyone be as thoughtful about the way the heightened fame of like 90's superstars was and has changed. Thanks for sharing Josh, you're great.
Finally remembered that Tuesday night comes after Monday and before Wednesday, so I got here on the right day at the right time. Let’s go Josh! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
I'm so proud of you Carl! See ya next week hopefully! Lol
😂😂😂
I realized when watching this live in my time zone, that such a “Joshday” runs from Tuesday afternoon (in Hawaii)
to Wednesday morning (in Japan)
Josh Johnson is my new favorite comedian. No other comedian I know of is putting out sets consistently new and consistently funny as him. I can’t even imagine how funny a special would be…
He has a couple of specials
I'm a tarot reader, and I was at this show. 🤣
This joke was so good, and totally unexpected!
I cackled SO hard imagining him picking up the cards on instinct. I guess we take some things for granted. It would've given me a good friendly chuckle in the moment.
Wait, if you're a psychic, how could it have been unexpected?
But did you see the ending coming?
I like the art on Tarot cards
@@quirkyviperWhen he said she started "dealing the cards" it automatically made me chuckle.
Technically it is true, i do deal cards. Just don't want anyone to think I'm gambling with their future. Lol
That snapping and inability to remember who the celebrity is from the 90s is so damn accurate.
I love how he spoke on just the landscape of the entertainment business now. I too think “old Hollywood” is done. I think for new artists it’s harder to get in the industry hence why they are taking the internet route.
Congrats on 650k homie! You deserve so many more. You're the definition of raw talent!
Josh is one of the best comedians out there right now. He truly has his own style. Intelligent. Down to earth. Eloquent. Well-spoken and articulate. You should contact Al Franken, you’ve got a future in politics!
Would love to see you on Sam and Mark’s podcast we might be drunk.
JOSHUA'S UNIFORM AS I NOW REFER TO IT IS GIVING A VERY DEMURE ENERGY, GREAT COMEDIAN.
My boy is on his way to becoming a turtle. I love his sets and cannot wait for a new special from him.
I’m going to be a fortune teller for a sec: Josh Johnson someday sitting in the Kennedy Center getting the Mark Twain prize. He has got to be the most prolific comedian out there.
“I think this is what the psychic saw” LMAO
😂😂😂 such a funny and unique joke premise. The set up is immaculate.
I haven't laughed that hard at a punch line since Carlin. Josh is such a genius at delivery!
I was doubled over at that one. Genius. This is how you do comedy!
That was the perfect call bacc lmao
@@JonnyBoy803 ikr
holy....the story progession and callbacks....damn Josh is going to end up like Carlin or Pryor....a god of humor and story telling
I find it funny that the goldfish, dog, turtle analogy works despite dogs and goldfish having similar life spans
in theory but most people take better care of a dog than a goldfish, so theoretical possibilities are just that...theoretical
As a Fresnian we are a little embarrassed of are 15 min goldfish Kai from Dogtown. Smash smash suh-mash.
The snapping and pointing thing got me b/c that's so relatable, lol. We all learned that somewhere, but who remembers where or when.
Yep!! I had a childhood goldfish grow so big we had to give her to family friend with a pond they maintained. She grew huge and had babies💕
Wow thank you for catching this. I appreciate you.
This one has some of my favourite zooms so far, lol. 7:23 made my abs hurt from laughing.
Great set as always! Happy to see you met your 650k goal before the end of the month!! So well-deserved ❤
New Orleanian here (previously of Alexandria)! Thank you for representing us so well! 😊
My one complaint about these videos is that they’re too short!! JJ is phenomenal
Josh is that funny coworker with all the juicy goss and news in the breakroom
When...if you listen close enough between the laughs you can hear the "profound" thoughts in his sets of storytelling. We are at the beginning to witness something special. Keep it movin young king.👍🏾👏🏾
Josh Johnson is brilliant! Topical and thoughtful commentary with a great call-back to the psychic anecdote. So happy for him that the Daily Show has recognized his sharp mind.
I’ve watched all of his RUclips content and have gone to see him live and Josh is my absolute favorite young comedian. The psychic call back at the finale joke was hilarious and brilliant!
lol the "HELLO" after he said the way people hate women online
That callback to the psychic at the end there had me absolutely dying. I saw some of your stuff on the daily show first, then it popped up in my feed, you are now one of 2 comedians I actually subscribe to on youtube.
Make sure to like the video yall
The way you describe culture and trends is so accurate and thought-provoking, then you weave humor in there and are truly carving out a unique form of comedy.
My brother in law had goldfish he kept in his classroom when he taught shop and ran the robotics team, they are still alive and he "retired" from teaching a year ago to be an engineer somewhere. He got him his first year and taught for over a decade.
Those weren't the same goldfish, Beav.
King! I swear as a member you just keep fkn giving! Thank you ❤
9:53 The elderly lady in the background finally laughs and its the explanation of Hauch Tuah.
I am so happy when I see an alert from Josh. He is helping cope with do much stress and depression right now. 😊
Respect from Louisiana! You make US look good, lol!
Amazing!
We're so spoiled 🥰 Thanks Josh!
What you're describing is where your physical stomach is. I've had that pain several times, and it's super painful. It's from eating so much food, you hurt your stomach.
Then it put your GI tract into evacuation mode 😅.
Great set man. ❤
I searched "pain" in the comments just to find an answer. I mean he describes a scary pain then stops the video, wtf is that about? lol
I look forward to these clips Josh drops every week. Thanks man ! Keep crushing.
He's got the Chappelle callbacks to an earlier but as a finisher! (idk if he started it, I just remember him doing it a lot)
It's fun to grow up with such a talented guy and watch him get better and better
Dude, your shows just get funnier & funnier!! I love watching you & laughing til tears are in my eyes & my cheeks & sides hurt!! ❤😂❤😂
I only discovered Josh Johnson yesterday and now he's one of my favorite standup comedians! Thanks so much for what you do!!!
The card reader saw him learning a valuable lesson. She couldn't see the exact time, and she couldn't take the chance of being there when he did.😂😂😂
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how a "call back" is done!
The thing I like the most about the videos that you upload is the fact that we can clearly see how you are honing your craft. Seeing how you have now started linking jokes together, how you transition between jokes, and the wrap at the end. It's awesome to see the genuine improvement 💪
You're killing it

Josh is turtle famous for sure. Almost at 6000 on live stream and will be in the top trending this week!!!
"ohh oh oh ohhhhhhohoh oh.... I think this is what the psychic saw"

Omg I love the way these videos are edited just adds so much 💕
Rapidly becoming my favorite comedian
The end. 😂😂😂
I love your perspective and your style! Your comedy is transformative, hilarious, and elevating! I appreciate you. Thank you!❤
Tyra Banks taught us that on ANTM.
I can't be the only one who knew he was going to talk about Randy Quaid the moment he said "...lose their minds..."
Too funny!!!!!! Thank you!!!! In comedy, no one can hit it out of the park every time… unless you are Josh Johnson. Perfection as usual!!!!😅😅😅
Psychic lady was right.
lol.
So maybe try the flute...
Pretty sure that’s what you get when you pay too…
