I love that Josh is an introspective, grounded young man that Dulce can still inspire to go full “ketchup is soup” berserk, and that Dulce is a quick, sharp, free-spirited woman who Josh can still make slow down and even start over.

Haven't laughed so hard at a podcast ever. I am team tomato soup chicken soup can be over complicated it's basically minestrone with chicken. There is nothing like dipping a fresh grilled cheese in a tomato bisque on a lovely winter afternoon. Tomato winters rule.

Interesting conversation but your conception of the seasons is very modern / city life oriented.
I used to be a city girl and now that I am living almost off the grid, I can tell you that our natural rhythm is supposed to be the opposite of what we do! The grind happens during the summer : managing crops, building muscle, prepping wood and canning food for the next winter, building shelters, fixing roofs, etc. And then comes the winter, where everything cools off and you get to rest your body and your soul, be in touch with your emotions more deeply and start preparing for next summer. And we do the exact opposite in modern society : we work hard during the winter and take time off during the summer, which is obviously wrong for us...
Am I the only Gen-X'er who screamed "Waterfalls" when they wanted "another example of a serious bop"?!?! That TLC song was a straight Bop and so, so, so sad. Especially when we knew that Left Eye knew that she had AIDs when they recorded the song. Song full of pain and irony... and you can't but BOP! 😢😍

I also came here just to here Dulces joyous and infectious laugh 😆🥰😂 but nothing made me shout at the screen until we got to the soup debate! Lol 😂 The literal definition of a soup is a boiled *HOT* liquid so if something can be held on a fork and not pass through it does not constitute as a soup! 🤦♀️😭🥴like ketchup, tomato paste, or salsa And all the sauces that go on pasta? No! And gazpacho is close but that is cold so technically it’s tomato juice 😝 you can’t just lump some thing with the same ingredients and call it the same type of food!? Is everything made with eggs, veggies and protein an omelette? No! Lol 😂 words matter and also the way things are made determines what they are labeled 😆

Josh, say it. You can put clothes on, but you can't remove your skin. And visiting Canada during snow time, indoors is like 10% humidity and 80 degrees. Amazed me how they live. 40-50% humidity and 70 degrees. Ahhh. I've lived in Alabama and worked all year outdoors. The locals were always indoors, except for those two weeks on each end of winter and dodging tornados. Love you guys.

Can’t stress it enough though; y’all sound like city slickers talkin bout “diners”… drive three hours out at least and have yourself a real diner. Denny’s is dressed up fast food, ihop is also not a diner. Never been to a Waffle House. A real diner has one to two page menu for breakfast, that ends at 11, and a different menu for lunch, and it closes at 2.
What if the tomato sauce has meat in it? Does it cross over to stew?
