Established in 1987, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (#MICF) is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

I am 50, I've seen the greatest and fastest death of a Black Comedian is a tv show. The fastest way for them to get arrested by the IRS is an HBO or NETFLIX Special. I haven't seen perfect comedic timing and great talent like her's since Red Foxx. This Woman needs her own self produced Comedy tour. The only way for her to be HERSELF and for us to keep on enjoying the flawless performances she always gives.

@@TruckTaxiMoveIt it's the Great Comedy Debate as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Essentially they get 3 comedians to debate 3 other comedians on some random topic and whilst these comedians try to give good points, the main goal is to be as funny and as entertaining as possible.
This is probably the 15th time I’ve watched this and it gets better everytime
Watching it back she’s probably fighting a lot of racists too. Look at that one old fart w the hat… my first thought was “is this guy thinking of ways to kill her? What’s his problem?”

@@edithallma4810 Yes but she set it up so that Jewish audience members would shout "woo!" or something to show where they were. It's a common trope in stand-up where comedians will ask "anyone from [place]?" or "anyone here in [situation]?" and then everyone who fits that description cheers "woo" (and many do even if they don't fit the description), but here nobody answered which prompted her to respond with "what the f did you do with the Jews?"
Actually, she probably had a different joke set up for when the Jewish audience members "woo"-ed but I think it probably ended up funnier this way.

I love how she literally broke 2 notoriously deadpan comedians. I don't think anyone watched close enough. They were trying hard to not break character, but several times they both did. Cowboy hat smiled several times and shook from internal laughter. Phil smiled several times and chuckled. Their acts are being serious people. They weren't being disrespectful. They didn't discriminate against her. Understand it takes a lot to make them break character. Understand how funny Dulce is that they struggled to look dour.
Edit: I am a plus sized American Black woman. So don't give me any flack about being racist or sexist or whatever. "Be still"
Well read and well SAID. THANK YOU. They weren't hating, they were literally trying to keep their faces / personas from breaking. Even I could tell and I'm not familiar with Yang's or Hall's work--though I think I may have seen a set of Yang's once, a few years back. He's SO obviously holding in the laughs and HARD. I thought it was simply because he and Hall were trying to be impartial and mysterious. Finding out that "serious/reserved" is part of their shticks and that they're not supposed to break character makes even more sense.
And it IS a tribute to Dulce's comedic skills that they cracked at all and had to WORK to hold the LOLZ in the whole-damn-time. She damn-near BROKE THEIR FACES with her funny. End of story, no need for a sequel.
But ALWAYS a need for more Dulce :-)
