- Goose & I head up to Lytle Creek & find the most amazing campsite we've camped at so close to home. The off-roading to get to the site definitely helped Goose grow her confidence in wheeling her 2018 2-door Rubicon. After a short drive we found a great Yellow Post Campsite, which if you didn't know any better, you'd think you just might be in the Sierra's.
For those of you that live in Southern California, I'd highly encourage you to visit these sites. You won't be disappointed!!!! Here is a link to a map that will help guide you to the Yellow Post sites in this area:

I hope you enjoy the video & are all healthy & safe!!!

It's great to see you guys cooking together. Food is a huge part of camping and lots of people seem to totally skip it. Giving me lots of inspiration!
Absolutely!! Cooking is a big part of camping for us as well. Take care.
Nice looking rigs, family camping and food....I’m in. Awesome!
Thanks Duke. That’s what it’s all about right! Take care and thanks for watching!
Nice reel! My dad took me up there often. Yeah as a kid, like 10, 11 years old. Best times ever. Cheers from mtw in L.A.
18:07 "You see, guys. That's how you train them." . . . (narrator's voice) and that was the last beer she ever handed him. LOL
LOL....Don't give them any ideas...They ready these comments sometimes. Happy Trails
great campsite and views
Good evening Daniel, Family & Friends ! Thanks for sharing this great video ! Awesome location, beautiful Family & the food looked delicious ! I’m from Idaho, but I hope to be out in your area someday to enjoy some of that amazing beauty ! I met a very lovely woman who lives in San Jacinto. Enjoying good times & sharing smiles is what Life’s about !
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. Safe travels.
Gorgeous spot. Ain’t nothing better than cooking gourmet meals in the outdoors with good friends and family!
Hi Henrik - Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. It was a great little find and hanging out with family and friends is truly the best! Happy Trails...
I’m in north Fontana and had no idea we have places like these close by. I just got hooked by your videos and overlanding in general since COVID. I want a 4x4 now!
Big Bear is right around the corner too just an hour from Fontana.
You should see a Doctor. Once you have enjoyed off-roading you will never want a car. More expensive, maintenance ie. tires/brakes and fuel. I got hooked over 40 years ago. I don't go anymore. But I could if I wanted to.
Wow, that is a beautiful place to camp. I live in the High Desert and didn't know about this place.
Great campsite and dinner. I’m down in Apple Valley and have never camped there, but I plan to now. Thanks.
Hi Don- It was a great spot. You’re a stones throw away. You should definitely go hit it up.
I like that when your daughter asked if she was cutting the garlic right and you didn’t even have to look and responded in the affirmative. Good stuff
LOL...Thanks William
Lytle Creek is my backyard as well I always wondered where that road led to thank you for sharing that look like an awesome time
SoCal born-n-raised NEVER heard about Yellow Post Sites, learned something new, thx for sharing, new sub
Thanks for subbing and leaving a comment. Take care.
This is my favorite spot in the Lytle Creek area. When I first came up here it was very intimidating towards the end of the trail. Mind you I have a stock 94 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 and at the time it was the first time I had done anything like this.
Still have the same stock Pathfinder but I've learned a lot by just driving this trail. Slow, easy, and in my case it's about picking the right line.
Best of all it's right around the corner from me as well.
It is a great little spot...and perfect for learning about your rig and picking the right lines. Its a pretty forgiving trail with little risk of messing anything up too bad! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment John!
John do you have a detailed map or coordinates to reach the site.
Been trying to find this went up there once
It’s looks super sweet. I will for sure go with the fam. Thanks for the video
It was a gorgeous area. You’ll love it. Happy Trails
man... I gotta get out there and go camping asap!
Trick question. A shooting star is a meteor. Just stumbled on onto your channel and I love it. Subscribed
Right on Ed. Thanks for the comment and watching the video. I'm happy to have you as a subscriber. Go ahead and send me a message on IG with your contact info and I'll get something out to you in the mail!! Happy Trails!!!
Great place.... I like your fridge slider with chop board...
Yah, it was a very nice campsite. And the slider is amazing. I'm very pleased with it. It is a Tembo Tusk slide.
thanks for great information.
Hello, Daniel and family , we're sitting on the couch watching your vlog on TV and ...again: enjoyed until the end. We love all your set up. Thanks for making these awesome videos combined with explanations and music that we love too. Happy trails . :-))
Hi Albert - Thanks so much for watching it all the way thru. And thanks for the comment and continues kind words. Say hi to Montse for us. Happy Trails to you too!
Living in a city just below Lytle Creek I've been up there often. At one time it was a little sketchy do to some homeless encampments. It's nice to see that they have been cleared out.
Hi Mark - Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. The area seems to be free of any homeless encampments from what we were able to see. It is a nice area, but can definitely get crowded at times...Happy Trails!!!
nice vid. always knew lytle creek was there. havent been there since the days before the firing line range up there. ill have to check that place out.
Thanks Rob. Have fun.
Used to shoot up there in the 90s. Got really trashed. They cleaned it all up. You can go way up behind Baldy Peak and camp. Pretty area
Hi Salty Dawwg - Yah, we used to shoot up here as well back in the day....and it is significantly cleaner than it used to be. However the campsite was littered with all kinds of broken glass. That and the graffiti on one of the trees was disappointing. Take care!
@@395jnky the glass has been there for years. So has the graffiti. SoCal for ya.
Found my way there after watching this video. Thanks for the tip. Amazing spot for sure. Came across another group who saw the video and journeyed out those ways.
That’s awesome Sean. I’m glad you were able to experience this area. It really is an amazing little hidden gem in this area. Happy Trails Brother!!!!
@@395jnky definitelt a hidden gem. The road up to the camp site was quite fun too. Any other good trails in that area that you know of? I got super flexy on the trail which was too fun. Happy trails man!
Sean Crawford Hey brother were you able to find the same spot that 395jnky found? I would love to know which post site it was
@@ogFIEND I don't know which post number it was but if you follow the main road, and at the first left turn you follow it along, almost all the way at the end is where I camped. I'm pretty sure if was the same spot, though. It's on the 4x4 only trail shown in the map
Looking nice, will get there as soon summer arrive.
Thank to show this beautifull place.
Have fun!
Thanks for taking us along.
Our pleasure!
Great job Daniel, can’t beat any of the yellow post sites, period!
PS, when a meteor makes landfall on earth it then is called a “meteorite”.
I agree. These Yellow Posts are well thought out on where they put them. I wont hesitate to head back there again. Send me a DM on IG with your contact info and I'll get something out to you! Have a great weekend John!
Me and the Mrs. are gonna head up there Satuday morning! Will be my first time as well, heard good things about it
Awesome. Have fun. Me and the fam are headed up to Bug Bear area. Should be a nice weekend in the local mountains! Happy Trails
How do you get here ?
That’s a beautiful spot. I’ve been there about 4 years ago on a Tuesday thru Thursday. Nobody else there. It was perfect
Dave can you tell me the coordinates or better detail on how to reach the site
Nice area I’m here off highway 38 and camp in certain areas no one else hits love it
I Just want to go camping with you so you can cook for me. That was some Awsome camp food. Great job...
Haha. Nothing you can’t prepare yourself. A little prep work and research goes a long ways when picking some camp meals. Thx
Must be nice to have such a beautiful campsite in your own backyard. Being from Wisconsin today it was 35° rainy mixed with snow. Can't wait for the weather to get nice and get out there myself. I do enjoy your videos and happy Mother's Day.
Yes...It is really nice, and we certainly don't take it for granted. Blessed beyond words in so many ways!! Sounds like some rough weather for spring, even in Wisconsin. Hope the sun shines soon enough for you. And thanks watching and the kind words. I'll let Goose know you wished her a Happy Mothers Day!! Happy Trails!!!
I'm glad to hear the gate is open. It was closed the last time I was there last year.
If you get a chance, check out the "San Sevaine Trail" road. It is where the Lytle creek canyon starts after the gas stations. Take that road (when it is open, usually fall) and drive up to Joe Elliot Tree Memorial campground. It is no longer maintained, but another nearby beautiful place to visit overnight. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Tread - Thanks for the comment. I'm aware of the San Sevaine Trail, and every time we want to wheel it that gate is closed. One of these days we will be successful in hitting it up. Sounds like a great trail that may offer some incredible views of So Cal. Happy Trails!!!
Looked like a ton of fun!
I’m close by definitely checking this place out. Thank you
I want to join you guys next time I love this king of camping I’m getting my Jeep set up
Great video
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Glad you enjoyed. Happy Trails!
That was a great camp spot and that view wow we don't have that in Ontario Canada but some I come there keep up the great video
Thanks Rob for watching and leaving a comment. The view was definitely a nice surprise. You may not have the view, but you have some gorgeous areas up there in Canada!!! Happy Trails!!!
Nice video. I have been there and it is on the back side of baldy. The breeze coming through the hills sounds amazing when you camp around Big Horn, which is the easiest of them all to get into. FYI, the only fire allowed outside of the fire pit is a gas powered device, like a stove. I put my dutch oven right in the pit with the coals on one half and the wood fire on the other half. I learned from a ranger who was nice enough to give me a warning. Be careful with 3N06B. Downed trees often block the trail and it gets rough. Not unusual to see Search and Rescue up there.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Hi Mike - Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed! Happy Trails.
I went there last Friday and it was trashed. People of you see this and go there or anywhere please pick up after yourselves 🙏
Isn't it terrible Donnie! Which is a reason I am becoming real selfish when it comes to sharing the sites I go to. We always leave the site better than we found it, but even then sometimes it is an impossible task...especially here in So Cal. This area definitely seems to take the brunt of trashy people!!!
Hello from fontana.its baseklyy the same a meter and astroyed. A rock entering our atmosphere.
Thanks for watching and leaving the comment. Send me a DM on IG with your contact info and I’ll get something out in the mail to you! Happy Trails
This site is beautiful..been there 2 times already with my 2wd 3" lift Tundra with 35" RT tires.
Nice video and new to the channel. I know exactly where this campground is. Love it up there, so nice and peaceful.
Thanks Xzer. And I appreciate your subscription and support for the channel. It is very peaceful. It was hard to believe we were so close to home...Happy Trails
I'm sure you already got the answer but "shooting stars" are meteors. Meteor showers are just times in which there are a lot at once. Love your channel. Catching up on some older videos 🤙🏼 aloha & mahalo from Hawaii.
If Los Angeles county ever regains its sanity I recommend Blue Ridge and Guffy campgrounds above Wrightwood. Past Guffy the Blue Ridge truck trail continues down into Lupine Meadows that was once a campground. Not a difficult trip by any stretch but very nice .
Thanks Stan for the tip! Sounds like a great day trip!
@@395jnky I should have added that to picnic or camp at Guffy and Blue Ridge campgrounds, you must have an Adventure Pass or Interagency pass and up there ,the rangers always come through to check. The fine is $5 , same as a day pass, however there are boondocking spots along the trail. Right now highway 2 is blocked off to stop people from recreating up there . The Angeles Crest Highway is a wonder , just watch out for motorcycles and sports cars when Los Angeles County allows normalcy again . There are also many vault toilets along the drive. Sorry to prattle on, but having gotten into campervans in the last 8 years it has opened up the local mountains that are not that conducive to the big class A motorhomes we've had when the kids were still around. We've been 395 fans since we were married 29 years ago and also big summer trips across most of the country and Western Canada. In comments sections, my comments are for the general spread of knowledge. I enjoy folks like you spreading good news and like to contribute back in a small way. Keep on Jeepin' . Looking forward to your next adventure.
Awesome info Stan. Thx
I love it! I always wondered what the yellow post sites looked like. I’ve been looking at getting a 4wd. My 2wd Ford Explorer is fine on dirt trails, but I want to be able to journey further in. Great video thanks for sharing! The only thing that wasn’t right was the way you treated those steaks. You have to kill those flames. 🤙🏽
LOL>. You're 100% right on the steaks. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Been there like that place but never cook 👨🏼🍳 like u did and spend the night over maybe I should go this weekend for my bday
Go for it! Gonna be hot at the lower elevations. Happy Trails and Happy Birthday!!!
The Sb forest service is funny. On my paper map it says that it is YP19. Just so people know, there usually water available further down the old road in what was originally know as the Coldwater trail camp. FWIW, this awesome campsite is at the end of the 3N06A trail in the San Bernardino Forest, even though it's literally a few thousand feet away from Mt Baldy, which is in the Angeles National Forest.
Yah...The map is not consistent with the actually site numbers painted on the Yellow Posts.
Just discovered your channel!! Great videos! I live in San Bernardino and wheel my Nissan Xterra all over the hills of Lytle Creek. I’m an Engineer for the railroad and as I’m going up and down the Cajon pass I look up into the hills looking for trails. I never knew of this place. Looks awesome! Hopefully I’m fortunate enough to run into you guys sometime. Love your videos! Oh and by the way.. a shooting star is just another name for a meteor. The dust and debris that breaks off burns up as it enters the atmosphere which creates the string of light behind meteor. I’d love one of your stickers.. haha! Great content. Keep em coming!
Send me a DM on IG...I'll get you out a sticker..
Another awesome video! This area looks great. Adding to the list
Jesse - Thanks for leaving a comment a continuing to support my channel. I do appreciate it very much. You should definitely hit up this spot. Happy Trails
Nice proper camping out.
Thanks 👍
SO COOL! SO CLOSE!!! Thanks Guys! Mama Goose's Jeep is PERFECT!
Thanks for the comment Ron. I'm glad you enjoyed!!!
Nice buddy. Let me know the next time you head up there I would like to join you guys.
Sounds good! It was a nice quick getaway!
@@395jnky it looks great. Im in lake elsinore not that far from you guys
Amazing spot, nice view and the video so good 🤝from PR 🇵🇷
Thanks Juan! I appreciate the kind words. Take care.
Bummd once u said 4x4 nly..... was hoping I could teastmy lifted 4x2 Tundra. Suppose I could go with a wench jeep buddy 🤣 in my own backyard. Cool video 💪
Thanks for watching and the comment. This spot would be tough, but there are others you would be able to make it to! You should give it a try and do some exploring! Take care!
Brought back memories, thanks for sharing. I was raised in Fontana back in the day when Kaiser Steel was going strong. I had a friend who grandparents had a cabin at Lytle Creek (this was back in the late 50's and early 60's) and we spend a bench of summer days at the cabin. Later when I had a vehicle at the age of 16, we would sneak beer and take gals on a rough dirt road from Lytle Creek to Lost Lake to watch the submarine races.
Ah yes, the "submarine races". I grew up in farmland Illinois and we had those races there too.
NICE VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARE
Glad you liked it
Great video! You know how to camp and cook. The camping i have done is what I like to refer to as roughing it out in the wilderness. But I like your setup. Tell Goose, Go Cowboys!
Thanks Jim. I'll let her know!!! LOL
Happy Trails!
Thanks! I've had trouble finding local footage 👍
Glad you found it! Happy Trails James
Hour away for us. We have a commander, hope to find this spot.
We love Big Bear. Its so close and has a lot to offer. Happy Trails
That's also our backyard from Rancho Cucamonga. It's beautiful there.
Btw, the only difference between meteors and shooting stars is the spelling.
Thanks for the comment! Happy Trails
I'm planning on heading out soon and do some Exploring and overnighters
Happy Trails
Really appreciate that you include links to the downloadable maps for campsites.
Howdy! Great video! What’s the coordinates for this spot?
Looks like it’s cool there
It is...Great little spot.
Wow I missed that I live in Minnesota I used to live AZ NICE DISC FRYER WHA THE BRAND YOU COOK A LOT ON IT 👍👍
HI Hillbilly. It is called a Tembo Tusk Skottle. You can see them at www.tembotusk.com
That steak dinner, man... you did it right!! Great vid. 👍
Thanks 👍. I'll admit that you were a factor in finally getting it done. Your steaks cooked over the Snowpeak look great every time I see you do it! I haven't had a chance to watch your Icon video you just released. I've been crazy busy, but its on my To Do this weekend! Happy Trails Edward!!!
Another nice video, Daniel. I'm down in the SD area and used to own a cabin in the crestline area. Love it up there. Never have been to that camping area. Look forward to taking my JKU up there and do some camping.
As others have mentioned, no difference between meteor and falling star, however, if one survives the the entry and makes it all the way to impact the ground, it's considered a meteorite. 🤓
Thanks Dan! It’s a great area up there and you definitely need to check it out and do some camping! Send me a DM on Instagram and I’ll get you over a little something for your explanation. Thx and have a great weekend!
Looks like a lot of fun, love the calm fam friendly vids. Great camping set up.
Thanks Rabbitbeast.
I've been to this site in a 2004 prerunner 3.4 2 wheel drive its up to u to practice perpetual motion you'll make it but it's worth it for sure
Looks like a great spot. I want to find it for sure. Im out of Murrieta. How was the temps? Recommend using sea salt and cracked pepper and crushed garlic on steaks, instead of generic salt and pepper. Iodized salt bad flavor for steaks. So much better IMO
Hi Heath - It was a great spot, and the temperature wasn't too bad. This spot sits right at about 6,400' in elevation according to Gaia which keeps the temps lower. I never knew that about the sea salt. Sounds like I'll need to give this another go soon and try it out. Take care!!!
395jnky Can i get the Gaia route plan you used? I have the other you posted earlier for bear creak i think. Will do that in near future for weekend trip.
@@mlhse111 I don't think I recorded this trip on Gaia since it was so close to home and pretty simple to get to. But if you want to send me a DM on IG, I'll shoot you a few coordinates that will get you there. Thanks!!!
How’s it going Brother. Totally nice site. Live in SD so we will definitely take our kids up. A meteor is technically a shooting star. Essentially the lay term “shooting star refers to meteoroids that enter Earth's atmosphere at extremely high speeds and burn up. This burning up of the star into fireballs are commonly coined “shooting stars” which are scientifically called meteors. When a meteoroid does not burn up as it enters into earths atmosphere and lands on the ground it is then called a meteorite. Hope I made the cut to get a patch as I love to surf and be outdoors plus having five daughters you always gotta try to seem like their is nothing you can’t do or know😂😅🤣. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the video.
Soul Surfer - You hit the ball out of the park with this one. And being a father of three girls, I can tell you a well deserving man of the simpler things in life. LOL. I've got a patch and sticker for you... Send me a DM on IG with your contact info and I'll get them out in the mail for you! Happy Trails brother!
Nice video I was wondering where you got your grill where you made your potatoes and Asparagus on
Glad you shared about the fire restrictions. I was curious about it since you posted this in May. Ahhh a brand new clean Solostove. They are very cool to have. That's a very nice campsite.
Everything but a map!
Great video !!
Thanks Pete! And thanks for watching.
I really enjoy your channel and love your rigs I'm more in favor of gooses rig something about the white and the stance is just awesome not taking anything away from your jeep it has everything I could ever want I'm sure your very pleased. I had a question your propane set up for when you are boiling water what is the burner called and the pot I really love the look of it and your use of it as well. I am glad your out and about again your friends in Maryland .
Hi Garry - Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I love the stance as well on the JL too. The burner is just a Coleman single burner I purchased from Amazon. And the pot is made by GSI. Take care brother and Happy Trails!!
Great video keep it up guys...
Thank you so much 😁
Looks like a nice relaxing camping trip 👍
It was totally chill and a perfect location for a quick overnighter.
Its really great job you guys been doing, please what’s the location to go there.
Loved and subscribed!
Awesome...Thanks for subbing
great video, where exactly is this yellow post campsite? the link you have is not working. also, do you think a stock 4wd vehicle can make it? some of the sections you showed seemed a bit sketch for a stock 4wd vehicle. thanks.
This campsite is in Lytle Creek and a stock 4x4 should be able to make it...But the terrain always changes, so always proceed with caution and good judgement. As far as the map goes, you should be able to locate it on the locate ranger district webpage. Happy Trails
Cool family channel Sir.
Thank you kindly
Great video, really enjoyed it
Thanks Douglas! Take care.
Hello Daniel and family. I recently discovered your channel and like what I see. I am fairly local to you in the Yucaipa area, and love seeing videos of our local San Bernardino Mountains. I too am a fellow Jeeper and frequently visit the same areas in your videos. Hopefully someday we'll get to meet on the trail! Happy Jeeping!
First time viewer, did some snow camping up in that area with my 91 YJ that I still have, many years ago. Awesome place. Nice video👍🏼
Hi Jerry - Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I attempted this trail twice in some deep snow and wasn’t successful. This trip was the first time I actually made it to the top. Definitely put some time into finally finding this spot. Awesome job making it in the snow. Take care!!!
Im in Culver City. This looks like a dream location to camp.
Rangers still let you go up there since the National Forests are listed as closed on their website? BTW I’d love to go out there and check it out but I have a sequoia on 33” MTs but it’s not 4x4 😢 would it be bad idea to head out there to explore a bit? Also I like the content, just found it today. I live in Palmdale and I love going outdoors, just didn’t realize there were so many cool spots so close.
Yes sir. In fact I passed by one on the trail and we started talking Jeeps. This trail might be a bit much for a 2WD, but there are a ton of great trails in Big Bear that is similar in landscape & much easier trails.
Man we were parked next to you(GX and Sprinters) at the Rigged for dirt 1 yr anniversary and Ive seen you throw down a meal! Them kabobs!!!?! This looks like Cold Water Camp?
In the LA area, I definitely wanna try something like this
Where’s the coordinates or yellow post number for 4:41?
also I would love to have those coordinates. Thats in my backyard and didnt know it was there
If you go to the Ranger Station in Lytle Creek they have a map of the yellow posts locations
Yes! This helps us that are just starting this journey, thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I grew up in SOCAL. Joined the US Army in 1999 and recently retired last year after 20 years. Used to go to Lytle Creek as a kid. Currently living in Texas now.
Right I live up in running springs and I didn’t know
Dito🤙
Didn’t know this was there, and literally in my backyard in Fontana 👍🏻 will be doing some exploring soon
I've been meaning to make it to the top of this trail for some time now, but every other time I've tried before I couldn't make it past the snow. I'm certainly glad I made it this time!!! Take care.
Hi Daniel. Great video. Which yp was this on the map? Awesome spot and would appreciate it. Thank you
Hi Daniel - Thank you and thanks for watching and leaving a comment. If you are referring to the map on my website or one similar, I believe the spot we stayed in is shown on the map as number 18. However, the number painted on the Yellow Post said 5...So, a bit of confusion, but you wont miss this campsite...Its amazing!!! Happy Trails!!!
Ah just the comment I was searching for!!
YP #18 is also known as coldwater campground (the "5" written on the post is incorrect, maybe someone wrote it on there - the site is actually #18). I’ve been researching coldwater campground as our next close-to-home outing and am glad to see this video! Thanks as always for the great content!!
(Edit: clarified that it is actually YP #18)
that you for a link to the map. which site is this particular video shot at?
No problem. Site #18 as shown on the map is where we were at! Have fun!
Hello there. I like your video. Do you think the stock 4X4 Off Road Tacoma will make to the campsite 18? Thanks.
Hi - Thank you. I think you would be OK. Just take it slow and pick good lines. There really is only 1-2 areas where you need to pick a decent line. Have fun.
I want that big wok looking thing!!!!,....where can i get one? Great video!
Hi Marc - Go to www.tembotusk.com and you can buy one. It is called a skottle....and I love it! Happy Trails
You can make them also. I’m making a few for Christmas. $300-$400 is a bit out of my price range.
I know its a little late to add, but a meteor is a space rock. As it enters the atmosphere it get really hot. When you see a shooting star, its the same thing, its the heat you see as the trail of the rock as it enters the atmosphere. Most just burn up into nothing. Unless its really big, which we don't want, but even those little particles are deposited all over our earth. The best place to watch the Showers are in the Sierras toward Bridgeport...I take my scouts up there about every 3 years to Mammoth to star gaze, camp, canoe, hike etc...Have fun !!!!
I see you have many post about the spot and the food. All of it is awesome 👌 what I would like to know is about your propane tanks 🤔 do you refill or throw after use ?. I know from experience that an extra stand takes up space even if it folds up to hold the burner but having a one gallon or 1.5 gallon refillable propane tank that mounts under your Jeep has its benefits. Such as no gas inside the Jeep to over heat on summer days also one less thing to discard when unloading when you get home. Ask me how I know. I lost a Jeep Wrangler from a one pound tank that burst 4 year's ago. I have yet to build another overlander since. I do have 2 early 70's Jeep trucks that are in the works now. But back to topic storing one pound tanks in your storage inside has its ups and downs in the summer time. I picked up 2 propane tanks from early VW buses and even if rock crawling will be mounted out of the way. Something to think about i know it adds weight to you Jeep but it could be the best safety on a 100° plus day the desert flat lands.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I usually keep 4 tanks in my Trasharoo pockets, and then a few stored inside the Goose Gear storage for transport to camp. I don’t ever leave the tanks in the car. But, I have been given some thought to adding and external propane tank, just not sure quite yet. Happy Trails!!
Thank you for the information and sharing ur knowledge about camping on yellow post area.I been to Lytle Creek Shooting range ,so hopefully i can make it to the camp site just to scoped it out and comeback later on with my family when time comes.Do u have ANY advice for a NEWBIE? greatly appreciated , thank you,god bless and be safe.
Hi Mel - Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Advice....Well, a lot of people will say never go out alone. And I would say the same. But I'm more guilty than anyone when it comes to going out wheelin' and/or camping by myself. Sometimes, we just prefer to be by ourselves. Or sometimes it's a last minute decision and no one is available to go with us. So, if you find yourself ever going out by yourself it is important to always be safe. Don't be too aggressive or go on risky trails. The last thing you want to do is be out in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. Also, always have some tools and recovery gear just in case you do get broken down or stuck. Happy Trails!
395jnky thank you for the advised.👍🏽
