We almost have the same set up. I had an arb rear which most don’t do for a truck but it’s a must bc I back up to the beach all the time with my dogs. However, I recently switched to the 23zero compact 180, one of my favorite upgrades. I do have a pecron as well, 1500lfp but waiting on my 3600lfp to come in. I highly recommend Devos over your light set up. Had the one in the video but just doesn’t do. Go with the 2000. Keep on trucking.
I remember when I had 33 on my truck.. now I have 37 makes it so much easier to get around. Just make sure to change your gear and suspension. This creek is better then cleg horn 👍
This builder is one of the most attentive to detail I've seen. Reminds me of the NJ builder. VERY nice work. Mark (Aussie) built out his tight like this one (with the Happijac) and from his pics you couldn't tell it was in a van.
Thank you for being a responsible influencer by using a gas powered fire pit instead of wood burning. Unfortunately we've lost Coldwater canyon thanks to the Vista fire which started in the Stockton Flats yellow post sites one canyon over, likely from an illegal campfire. Wood fires are rarely legal in Lytle Creek.
When I was up there Memorial Day weekend I saw a couple completely stock tacos. Good line choice will be a must in the rutted section but it for sure can be done.
Take 1N09 sometime. You can go to the Santa Ana River from the 330. There is a yellow post camp at Clark's Ranch. Bears, Mt Lions, bobcats, badgers & ringtail cats (sometimes). Fish in the Santa Ana & Bear Creek.
This area is currently closed because of a local fire. But last time I went, my CVT in my 2019 Subaru Forester overheated. Plus ground clearance is an issue for lifted Subarus.😒. I only made it because I had my winch to help me in some portions of the trail.
I live in So. Utah near the local mountains. Videos have ruined them for the locals. Every weekend we get thousands of Vegas people who have watched a video about Duck Creek. Now our beautiful mountains are covered with the dust of side X sides and 4 wheelers. I'm thinking of moving farther north in the state to get away from all of them.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, we haven’t been to Lytle creek since my wife and I were newlyweds before kids, our kids are in their thirties now so it’s been a long time. I know they closed the trail for a while and then we kinda forgot about it. Can you still travel the trail with just a two wheel drive truck? I have a Z71 Colorado.
I've been planning to go back that way for awhile, but not sure if my puny Subaru will make it. Think there's enough clearance for one to make it through?
Dude, just a nice chill video. Enjoyed watching it. Thanks for sharing, I gotta get out there. What chair and fire pit you using? Cheers from Ventura, stay cool over there…
@@AARONVZN I shouldn’t have said little. 33s are really the perfect tire size. They give you enough clearance to go everywhere and they don’t put too much stress on the vehicle.
@@EPICHIKE thank you! That’s a tough one, I bet there are people who have done it but that would be beyond what I would be comfortable with if that is what I was driving.
Nice video but man all these videos with the locations just ruin these spots for everyone. Three of my favorite places have become swarmed with overlanders because of youtube videos when 5 years ago you would rarely see one other person up there. Food for thought
Thanks for watching! I usually don’t include location info unless the location like this one is already all over the place. After doing this for several years and weighing the decision that’s just where I landed on the topic.
@@cassysamel3914 it also literally ruins it though, because so many people are stupid assholes now with no respect, and it doesn’t take long for the good spots like this to get vandalized, trashed, and treaded hard until the forest service eventually closes them and the trails down too. I’ve seen it again and again living in the SB mtns for 40 years.

My parents used to take me there 50 years ago and the creek was full of trout! Great memories, I lived in California in 35 years so it's been a while!
Great video. Thanks for sharing and showing newbie’s how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
Thanks!

One-day ill have the courage and the balls to go camping by myself in my TACO. Good video brother
Let me know I am down lol from SoCal
Not going to lie, it’s worth it to still get out sometimes but it’s always better going with friends!
Same. Once I decide on a GPS communication system I'll head out more.
@@MockZaylin good call on the gps device
@sleeks9939 I'm from NorCal but I'm always down for adventures outdoor with nature is my life.
Awesome! Thanks to you found the next spot to take my family out. Keep up the good work brother.
Awesome! Thanks so much!
Awesome! Makes me want to get out camping
Thanks man!
You drove by my Disneyland… West End Gun Club. I need to explore Coldwater Cyn! Nice vid!
Thanks!
What an amazing video. Now you know where I get my inspiration from. Love watching your videos bro. I always look forward to them .
Thanks so much man, that means the world to me!
Great video dude, love how you are candid about gear. Also stop breaking drones!!!!
😂 seriously! Man those things. Thanks man!
Great vide!!
Hiker here, do you know what peak is at 10:42 ? Looks awesome I want to hike it!!
Thanks! According to my on x maps I think it’s telegraph peak
@@alpinetactics Awesome 😎
Nice video and area. Loved the music choices, hope your drone survived. 👍God Bless
Thank you!
Question… I have a ‘15 Taco 4x4 SR5 double cab. No lift with 30” tires. Good to go or good to NO!? on more challenging parts into Coldwater Cyn?

You’ll be fine, i have the same truck and i ran that trail last year.
Just don’t be afraid to get a scratch or two. 👍🏼
My truck is lifted now and i’m headed there this weekend
@@offtime915 thanks 👍🏼 I’m ok with scratches. It’s my daily and cannot afford any major suspension or driveline damage.

2WD is probably out of my comfort zone on this one bet I bet people have done it!

I made it up there in a stock Gen 2 fourunner 31 in k02 just aired down to 25 lbs no problem

Great video. What tire pressure were you running up the trail?
@@behindenemylines9033 thanks! I was at 15
Nevermind the bears..theres many creatures and paranormal stuff out there and missing people..which makes it more fun
Have you had to replace your cv axle?

Is 24 Tundra OR lifted with 35”able to make it through the trails?
For sure
Might get some pin stripes early in the trail
Little 33 tires 😣. As I plan to upgrade my 265 to 285s

Isn't Lytle Creek in the San Gabriel Mountains?
It is but it just so happens to be in San Bernardino county. I live in Wrightwood and, my backyard is up against LA county line.
Let's see what's left after the fire.

can a 2wd head up there?
Fire danger region; be carful
I live close to there. If you camp overnight you shouldn't/can't have a campfire unless it's an official space with a fire ring I thought?....
You can not have a wood burning fire. Propane fire pits are ok
Hmmm. No Subarus. Imagine that.
Dometic and Iceco.... dont buy into the hype. I see many youtubers with these over priced accessories. You have options people, do your research.

“Food for thought”. Then find your “own” spots and don’t tell anyone. Otherwise move along

Ruins it for everyone, aka ruins it for the select few that’s wanted to keep public land from others.
