A few years back, I went there with an off road group and we weren't exactly told how difficult the trails were going to be. I showed up in an LJ with a 2 inch lift and 33s. The guy who organized the event showed up in a CJ5 on 33's. The trails took forever but we managed to get even the little rigs through with enough spotting work and good driving. It still amazes me how my LJ was able to get through Holcomb and John Bull with how basic the build was. That trip was one of the defining moments for me in off roading and this video brings back a lot of great memories. Thank you :)
Great video Brad. Thank you for your service. We just lost my Uncle on 11/10/21 CMC Phillip Balcerzak. He served 32 years in the USN Norfolk Virgina and was a great person. Thanks again!
Seeing Marco's nature, I feel that he is such a person that no one can ever complain. And Brad you are amazing. ❣️❤️❣️❤️ May God keep the love of both of you like this.
I did this trail the opposite way about a month ago. It was so much fun. I have a JLU on 35’s and made quick work of the hardest obstacle by going left.
Great to see you both out again! But, “gas station sandwiches?” ( that cracked me up!! ) Not what I expected from the Overland Cook. Great content! Thank you for your service🇺🇸
From one veteran to another, Brad, thank you for your service. I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure with Marco. I love the color scheme and graphics of Marco's JK. You guys are hard core...love it! I'm living the van life now and enjoying it in the Mission Bay area. Absolutely gorgeous here.
Nice job Marco on the manual. I had a 85 Nissan 4x4 that was manual and it was a challange feathering a clutch while bouncing around. Never did anything as rough as you are doing.
Great video and great job to Marco in the OG JKU! Haven’t done Holcomb Creek since late April, need to get back out there after watching this. Thank you for your service, Brother!
Lived in big bear in the early 90's while in high school. Used to wheel a bunch of these trails in my 79 cherokee wide track. 360 v8 dana20 with a 4 speed granny low. Some of the best times in life.
I can’t believe you were able to film, and and release this in such a short turn around! Hats off to you. Fair winds and following seas and thank you for your service.
Brad, I did that trail for the first time with TDS about 25 years ago with a stock height 1970 CJ5 on 31" tires, detroit rear, and open front. LONG day.
Fun trip and two nicely built-out rigs. Those were two of the three RUclips JKs that inspired me to get my own JK for rough road adventures. Thanks, and thanks for your service!
The First area in Holcomb Creek was where we ran across a rattlesnake. The perfect trifecta is Gold Mt., John Bull and then Holcomb. Appreciate all the videos Brad!
The difference between yours and Marco's tires is like me on 35s when I run across a Jeep on 37s. Makes me a wee bit jealous. Marco, I think I'm the only Jeep in my group with a man pedal too.
Sooooo good to see you and Marco out for an actual trail run. Great to see both JK’s navigating this trail. All the mods seemed to work as planned Brad!
Great video brad/ Marco glad you guy’s got time to hang out, awesome trail it’s gorgeous up there. Your new upgrades really made a big difference rigs look good as always be safe 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for service and thank you for another great video, great to see you and Marco doing some wheeling! The redo on your Jeep looks absolutely awesome! I’ve been contemplating some major changes to my rig, many of them being the same as you’ve made to yours for many of the same reasons. Now that you have a few miles and a trail or two on the Teraflex springs and shocks, what do you think of them?
Hey Brad awesome video!! Its been so long since you and Marco did a video, its good to see you guys together out on a trail doing what you guys love to do..... And come on you guys you got the same gas station sandwich from different places??? That's awesome, the photo of you guys stopped to have your lunch was cool, definitely Brothers from another mother just hanging out for the day!!! Great job Marco navigating through the technical stuff with a manual speed tranny.
I just worked with vet in AC field yesterday, he has pictures of parachuting him self and equipment right above him... you people have some guts, on the flipped side it was sad to hear how much hard time veterans sometimes have to get jobs... Good to see you have means to make life fun for your self now
Awesome to see you guys in my backyard. Next time you’re on it side trip from 3N93 to 2N06x. It is a beautiful road to 3N16. From there you can head to 3N34 or 3N14. Whichever direction you had in mind. Hope to see you next time you’re back.
Brad, your comment about that sign reminded me of one i saw years ago. If you ever get up to Rugby, ND look for something similar in town. It's kinda cool.
I drive a manual as well and i purchased a tera flex hand throttle which makes it a lot easier on some obstacles ,tell marco to check it out its a game changer.
Holcomb Creek is a great trail! I’ve never driven it in the direction you just did. I’ll have to try it. I drove that trail in a light snow, and we all had to winch through that middle rock garden. It got sketchy as the night came in and the trail started to freeze. Good times 👍🏽
I went there once on an ATV trail in the San Bernardino National Forest, went through San Bernardino it was raining down there once on top it was sunny, think it was July snow still on the ground, went on the trail around Arrowhead Lake, I was laid off from GM and had towed a car to my brother in Riverside so I was playing before returning to Oklahoma
That is awesome I literally just did Holcomb this last weekend. I have a TJ unlimited Rubicon with a 3 in lift. A 6speed manual as well. I didn’t damage anything but it would have been a little less stressful if I had some rock sliders. It was still a blast and I’m glad I was able to share the day with my buddy and my little girl.
When you started the video I was wondering how Marco was going to do after he has been out with his 392 and not in his JK!! Looks like he did awesome. Good to see you guys doing some trail videos again. Next time, throw in a lunch on the trail or a simple overnight setup!! Cheers
The vibe that Brad and Marco give off is amazing. It honestly calms me down.
Perfect start to a weekend.... Brad and Marco.....the dynamic duo.
It was so great being back out on the trail with Marco!
Ya its great to see the best duo in 4x4 RUclips
@@TrailRecon how do you get a badge of honor from you all
It's great seeing the "dynamic duo" flexing again! What a great video Brad! Happy Veterans day!!!!
Thank you! We had a blast!
It looked amazing! Thanks for filming it!

You and Marco together again on a rocky trail, it makes my Saturday morning comple . ♥️
Great video Brad. Thank you for your service. We just lost my Uncle on 11/10/21 CMC Phillip Balcerzak. He served 32 years in the USN Norfolk Virgina and was a great person. Thanks again!
Marco's exhaust sounds killer. I forget what he put on it. Yes it is nice to see both of you on the rocks again
It is awesome to see Brad, Marco and the two JK's in action. You made my evening perfekt!! Thanks Brad!!
Seeing Marco's nature, I feel that he is such a person that no one can ever complain. And Brad you are amazing.
❣️❤️❣️❤️
May God keep the love of both of you like this.
Two wonderful companions, and Navigators....... Great combination!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic scenery!!!!!!
Awesome to see you doing some wheeling again, especially with Marco!
LOL both have the same sandwich, you know you are true comrades when you pick up the same food. Glad to see Marco back. Really fun video keep them up.
It's crazy over the years how much we have in common!
Brad and Marco go together like peanut butter and jelly.- Classic and Timeless. Love watching you guys wheel together. Never gets old.
I did this trail the opposite way about a month ago. It was so much fun. I have a JLU on 35’s and made quick work of the hardest obstacle by going left.
This in terms of your videos is most similar to the ones I make and I’m just jealous of how good yours looks! Brad, awesome video!
Two iconic jks on an awesome trail. Great driving guys, well done. Brad, again, your jk is such a beaut. It is the perfect build. Well done
Great video Brad...Love this trail and LOVE Big Bear...we are so blessed to have this in our backyard!
If there is anybody out there that doesn't like Marco, they need to check their self!
Great to see you both out again!
But, “gas station sandwiches?”
( that cracked me up!! ) Not what I expected from the Overland Cook. Great content! Thank you for your service🇺🇸
Is always great seeing Brad and Marco
A pair of very capable Jeeps, two very experienced off roaders, and beautiful scenery… Thank you Brad and Marco for sharing your days adventure.
Great video. Brad and Marco are the Crockett and Tubbs of nature.
Man, my favorite Trail Recon vids by far... going wheeling in Jeeps! Especially a technical trail.
Such a good vibe in this video! Love watching you and Marco out doing your thing.
Thanks so much!!

Thank all Vets for their service. Myself USN 77 they 81. With a 2 year stint on the USS Midway.

Awesome to see the the JK’s getting out there.
I can’t believe you were able to film, and and release this in such a short turn around! Hats off to you. Fair winds and following seas and thank you for your service.

Now that sounds like fun!
Thank you for your service
Ordered my Sarge green and black ‘22 rubicon the other day. Watching your videos makes me wish that it would hurry up and get here lol

Need more content like this. You guys got all popular and everyone wants to roll with you. All you need is the 2 person combo
Thank you for your service.

Looks like you guys had fun up there. That middle rock garden usually has a lot more water in it, making for a slippery mess.
glad to see you take on badge of honor trail in SoCal.
Brad, your comment about that sign reminded me of one i saw years ago. If you ever get up to Rugby, ND look for something similar in town. It's kinda cool.
Love your enthusiasm…love your videos…love your Jeeps!😎😁🥾🥾🥰
Great to see you both back out on the trail again!

Brother!!! So awesome!!!
Very cool you guys are “compadres” great duo
Like a lot of other things in life. If you don't use it. You lose it! You did a great job Marco!
Holcomb Creek is a great trail! I’ve never driven it in the direction you just did. I’ll have to try it. I drove that trail in a light snow, and we all had to winch through that middle rock garden.
It got sketchy as the night came in and the trail started to freeze. Good times 👍🏽
So awesome to see you both in our neighborhood 😊 love trial recon/ E3
I'll have to go there in my Montero
Great video guys!!
Only thing this video is missing is coffee as it’s got everything else. Good times!
Wish we had that kind of trail here.. Fun technical obstacles with some great views.😍😍 Greetings from Indonesia!
That is awesome!

The Jeep looking really clean Master Chief. Thanks for the trip.
