Hey! Love your vids I just subbed. I need to do the things you recommended in your list of 5 things to do. Question for you, I have the chirping noise, will I be okay in the long run? Should I bring it up on my 30k mile service and in front dash I’m getting cracking noise on the speaker when I drive over a bump but the sound of the music is crystal clear I’m wondering if it’s a common issue. The last thing is I get squealing from my left front tire when I hit 80 mph and it disappears once I hit 90+. What do you think that is?
Thanks for the sub. Definitely do the 5. The chirping noise is fine, later I found out its just the direct injection noise. The cracking noise is not normal. I would bring it up since youre still under warranty til 50k miles. Squealing usually is a sign of the brake system. But since your going up in speed could be something else that is touching metal on metal. I would check the brakes first but is this squealing consistent every time from 80-90mph?
@@thehuangbros so the squealing starts a bit at 50 mph and gets gradually louder up until 80 mph (seems to be the sweet spot) as I start going to 85 it gets quieter and 90 it’s almost inaudible then at 100+ it’s completely inaudible. It’s really weird. It’s almost like the wind is going through a little hole causing it to whistle if that makes sense.

Hey! I figured out what it actually was. It’s my side view mirror causing the wind noise. I put my hand in front of the mirror as I get higher speed and the squealing goes away 100% and then I remove my hand away and it starts up again. Nice review. It’s reassuring that you have done 100miles without major issues. I’m still undecided on what Lexus I would like to buy. I’m about 6”3 and broad. I’ve sat in an isf and being tall my head just clears the roof too tight for comfort. Finding a late isf without a moonroof is too and far between. The gsf seats aren’t a perfect fit for me. Got scared off with a TVD code displayed on the dash. Saying that the battery was flat could of been the cause I’m not sure. I would like to try an RCF with a carbon roof. How are the rear seats?
That is interesting for the tvd statement. Ive never heard of that. The rear seats are good. When I am back there, it is comfortable for me but im 5”10. I think 6”3 height will touch the roof for sure. You would need to scoot the seat way forward for you to enjoy. My height, I just needed a good 8-9in from cushion to back seat and I was comfortable
@@thehuangbros Thanks for a reply definitely want a v8 Lexus. Wanting to buy my last v8 before they get extinct 🤣. As for the TVD could have been low battery issue. That’s why I was leaning to the later model isf. Will definitely try an rcf. Thanks again for the informative review
I feel the slalom mode the best. So when I had torsen and the moonroof, I did not use it as much as I thought I would. Then I had a chance to get another rcf since I wrecked the torsen one and decided to go TVD since I drove my friend’s. The turning was more apparent not by a lot but there was a noticeable difference. So I choose tvd. But replacing torsen with os giken is probably next level.
Hey question, I’m looking to buy an RCF but I feel like the TVD option is something I should avoid seeing that I don’t plan on tracking the car, and it could be an expensive fix should it fail. Do you think I should avoid models with TVD? Currently looking at higher mileage RC-Fs.
Please stop saying the car is not fast Lol this car is considered fast to the average person and very fun when u get on it and definately far from slow especially high up in the RPM range.....Did u have any issues with the Fuel Pump?
I'm deciding where to buy the RCF or the new Toyota Supra. The thing about the Toyota Supra is you need the monitor to do a DIY while the Lexus RCF pretty much can't do it DIY yourself. What do you think?
Ive DIY’d on my friend’s A90. It isnt too bad. The suspension installs weren’t too hard either. I helped change all the arms and links to SPL. Suspension set ups, front and lower braces. All of that is not hard. Services wise, I have not helped touch. Lexus RCF however is real simple. I have many DIY vids if you search through my channel. To me, RCF is easier to work on.
Having owned one of these, the only thing I miss is the sound of the engine and the styling. Maintenance was not cheap but it was rather basic when compared to an M3/M4 for example. Had a Stinger GT afterwards and it's kinda comical just how more modern and faster the Stinger felt, let alone more comfortable. Maintenance was a A LOT cheaper too. Go for these if you NEED and REQUIRE a V8; otherwise, the competition has this beat.
@@salimrandall Ok then, tell me which Toyota is technically superior to the Stinger GT? And don't bring up the Supra because that's clearly a BMW and the LF-A is discontinued and way out of the price league.
you should do it every 30k. I plan to do that for my 120k. But in your owner's manual, when it says inspect transmission fluid, to me personally, it means do a drain and fill. They want you to check that fluid at 30k but at that point you might as well do a drain and fill. Regardless if track or drive hard at all, there is metallic residue from gear on gear action inside the trans. I did a 60k drain and fill and did a 50k drain and fill on my friend's RCF. It looked the same in darkness. I did a 90k, that looked pretty also, very comparable to the 50k.
Because I liked the satin dark grey look and it matched the green in a off way. Also someone hit me in the rear and scraped the back left of the bumper.

Whats the difference between torsen and TVD RCFS?
Please stop saying the car is not fast Lol this car is considered fast to the average person and very fun when u get on it and definately far from slow especially high up in the RPM range.....Did u have any issues with the Fuel Pump?
The fuel pump has been long replaced.
100k on a Lexus you are just getting started
Oh definitely just getting started. I hope to achieve 500k miles one day
This vehicle is awesome, RC-F and the LC-500 can easily do 300k miles with Rountine Maintenance.
Im hoping for that half million miles on the odometer
@Huang Bros That's even better, go for a Million. Lol! The only way to get there is to keep driving routine maintenance and never sell it.
@@MrT-nh6di that is the plan. 🙂
Facts. I have a 2019 @ and a new m3 and I love my RCF WAYYYYY MORE
That is great to hear. What are your reasonings for the rcf
Love it!
@@thehuangbros if you're in the market between the 2 cars, which one would you get for DD,Roadtrip and canyon runs?
@@smilinjoe23 i think RCF for all 3.
@@thehuangbros thanks. And does the additional 10k for 2019 model worth the price tag?
@@smilinjoe23 is it the anniversary edition?
Please do spark plug video mine is coming up soon 60k RCF
Its already made. Itll be on youtube on NOV 15.
@@thehuangbros 🤗🤗
Average mpg? Just curious. Like the video
Ehh about 18-20 mpg for me.
Kia, lol.
@@salimrandall Yup, a "garbage" KIA that can embarrass a Toyota. Who’d ‘a’ thunk?
@@philhenderson3516 Kia embarrass a Toyota, LOL. Kia, lol.
@@salimrandall Ok then, tell me which Toyota is technically superior to the Stinger GT? And don't bring up the Supra because that's clearly a BMW and the LF-A is discontinued and way out of the price league.
@@philhenderson3516 The Corolla. Kia/Hyundai builds terrible vehicles. Toyota builds tanks.
whats a good mileage to do the transmission fluid and filter change? i dont drive it hard or track at all
you should do it every 30k.
@@thehuangbros ok thanks yea mine has reached 50k miles looks like ill being doing it soon. did you do the filter and gasket too?
can your elaborate on your ac compressor failure? I am hearing more stories and wonder if it's time for Lexus to announce TSB
It blew hot and no matter how much freon I added, it was hot.
@@thehuangbros oh ok...TSB for the motors was issued. I think some people have compressor unit totally fail internally..
@@veeman2939 i was unfortunately one them
Any reason why you wrapped the car instead of keeping the blue?
Because I liked the satin dark grey look and it matched the green in a off way. Also someone hit me in the rear and scraped the back left of the bumper.
@@thehuangbros thanks for the quick reply. I will be receiving my rc f in the next 2 weeks want to know any upgrades that’s a must besides the infotainment system 😂
@@deathkillex1067 did you watch my 5 must do mods video?
@@thehuangbros yup i have

EDIT: Did you solve the ABS issue you had when driving to prague?
Yeap. Cant say I fixed it. The light just hasnt popped up again.
@@thehuangbros We had a similar sympton on a VW, which turned out to be a misty sensor. So possibly it just got some strange signals due to dirt or mist. Fingers crossed it doesn't pop up again :)
@@Sebb747 yeah, im probably going to clean the maf sensor or something
I have yet to see any BMWs or mercs with 100k on them.
That was my exact thought throughout the entire time I filmed it. But I didnt want to deter away form it being about the Lexus RCF.
@@thehuangbros Thanks for all the videos man. I got a gsf with 50k in it, hoping it'll keep giving me fun and trouble free miles. Only had to change tires, oil and battery so far.
Are you planning on doing anything more to your rcf?
@@dvaritek2841 you have much more life in that GSF to go 😁. My plan is to get more camber for track. Still need to do FBO. I still have goals of having a video of me beating a porsche and Nissan GTR on video. Many goals still. Supercharger install as well but that wont be until I go back to stateside
Nice video bro!!! Waiting for the Spark plug vid
Lol everybody is. Maybe I should release it already. Haha its just waiting for the date for it to publish
RC F, my best
best car ive had
@@thehuangbros Same. Best car I have driven. I have driven quite a lot of cars on different occasions. E90 M3 6 speed, SLK55 AMG, ISF, IS350 F-Sport, RC350 F-Sport, BMW 335i sport, GSF, LC500 etc. From my experience, RCF definitely takes the best parts of many cars and combines it into one.

How do I turn off the seat belt chime ? 2020 rc f
Like when there is nobody in the seat? or the seat is removed?
@@thehuangbros I don't like wearing my seat belt.
@@samkim7336 that is something I dont recommend
You have one chance to get it done by the dealer as part of the customisation service/maint plan. I removed the chime and enabled open all windows with key fob....OR get Techstream yourself. Always wear your seatbelt though 😁
