One thing to mention if you happen to buy one with the TVD, torque vectoring differential. If it has to be replaced the cost is around $25,000 because of that expense I would recommend if buying a RCF used to buy from a lexus dealer and opt for extra insurance to cover that.
Do you have DYI videos for RCF services? That would help a lot of owners as reference. Some dealers won't touch life time fluids since it is not a recommended service even if you offer to pay them.
Im not sure if youre serious about that question. 😂 my channel is built off of Lexus RCF DIY services and installs. Check out the Lexus RCF TVD playlist
Thank you I was curious of all the service tht have to be done and for the price. I bought my rcf at 42k and only changed my rear pads and oil change. Right now I’m at about 48k, what services should I do since I don’t know what the previous owner has done?
My plan was to do oil change, diff change (I have the base model so no tvd), trans drain and fill, and spark plugs I think all at 60k. It’s getting cold here in nyc so I don’t feel like doing anything special for 50k or 55k service. hopefully I hit 60k when it warms up
Yeap. Amsoil Transmission Fluid Fuel-Efficient version. It is compatible with Toyota ATF WS. No issues at all since 60k miles and im almost 120k. Did the fluid 3x now.
@@thehuangbros I was curious if the heavy towing version of amsoil atf would have been ideal given how much heat the transmsison must produce when flooring it. But the fuel efficient one makes sense. Thanks for the response!
@Huang Bros whys that? As far as I understand, it's just better at tolerating heat and constant gear changes. (I meant the severe service amsoil atf) which is commonly used for towing or service vehicles. But perhaps I misunderstood why that would be bad for a car that gets the transmission abused frequently on a track.
@@thomasbradley3830 the rear diff is high heat sure but there isnt that towing strain on it vs the track. The diff fluid is just formulated different for track and or towing purposes.
Kinda related, how much do you pay for insurance? I've looked into it and the cheapest offer I could find was ~2000€/year. That's nearly double what I'd pay for a new M2 CS :/
@@thehuangbros I'm only 25, so I guess that's what's driving the price up for me. Some day I'll get my RC F, even if I pay the bonus for having an exotic :)
for anyone reading or cares, i've been quoted $272 Australian Dollars ~$180 USD for the lexus rcf battery from the dealer.
Good price man

Or just buy one without the TVD
What would cause TVD to need replacing

I'm literally watching this with my gsf in the shop for wheel hub after hitting pothole. 😂. Thanks for the info.
Lol there goes a cost
love the wrap
On the screen display on f page does torque distribution screen only on TVD or do they also show torque distribution also on torsen equipped vehicle
why is my Lexus dealership charging me 1k for spark plug replacement?
Thanks for all the info 🙏
Here to help.
My car has 7k miles and I got it back in 2018. Oil change is basically dirt cheap at least for me
What does it cost you?
I had $150 for oil change and oil filter change at a speciality lexus shop@@thehuangbros
GREAT Video ! Thank You for the Info ! 👍
Thanks. Hope this informs potential new owners on this car.
best about price demonstration
I was going to buy an rcf300, but you changed my mind, too much money to get from point a to point b .
RCF300? Do you mean RC 300? Two complete different cars
Hi clean RCF, I wanted to ask what happened to the Audi A4 with the apr flex fuel tune ?
In Colorado
@@thehuangbros Ty and did it have any problems from the tune ? Thinking of getting one this month, I’m at 110k

@@fernandodejesus5519 doing all of that at 60k is fine. You can do spark plugs at 50k or 60k. Doing it at 50k will be noticeable.
All those prices are way cheaper than my benz, I would pay those prices easily.
Welcome back!
Lol what do you mean welcome back? Ive been here same spot this whole time 😂
@@thehuangbros I just realized I was not getting any notifications for your channel, and I remember checking in on during your 2 month break!

Wow those prices are crazy imo
Well I mean I work at a VW and we charge $119 before tax for sedan oil changes
Why didn’t you write the maintenance out in the summary? Now i have to watch the entire video!
Watch the video. It is good for you
What about tranny filter change?????????
Good luck with that one haha. That one would cost a bit more probably close to 1000 but they prefer not to do it to their “lifetime” fluid claims
u forgot about tires, those will cost a pretty penny too
Tires yes they do.
Did you use amsoi transmission fluid? If so have you had any issues?
