It's a nice mix of familiar and new, much like the show. I like the pattern that Star Trek had fallen into of shows that roughly continue the original premise, like TNG and SNW, and shows that push the boundaries of what it can be, like DS9 and LD
I hadn't been able to put words to it but you just nailed the thing I love so much about that intro! Also Starbase One looks beautiful, in the intro and otherwise

The second DS9 intro was clearly a recreation with some major flaws. While I appreciate the attempt, it would have been great to see the original thing in the mix here. I do love the First Contact theme they put in the ending credits of Picard Season 3. It's my favorite Star Trek theme.
Love this! But would love to see the missing intros added (just the musically different ones rather than visually different ones). Would also love to see added the recorded (but not used) alternate Enterprise intro with theme music rather than Faith of the Heart. For those interested it's much like the In a Mirror Darkly music but an upbeat/positive version. Personally, I think it's much better than Faith of the Heart for the intro.
These themes are some of the most nostalgic and heart-warming pieces of music for me. I particularly love the themes from the late 80's and early 90's. They take me back to simpler times while still looking forward with hope toward a future that may never be. Those motifs on the horn make me want to cry every time.
Wow! What a walk down memory lane! I’ve been there since Star Trek arrived when I was 11 years old. My mother introduced me to science fiction, and we enjoyed everything that was available. I haven’t seen all the shows this century, but thanks to streaming, I’ll get caught up. This also makes me want to watch older Star Trek’s again, in memories sake for my mother who passed away in 2020 before her 94th birthday. Star Trek continues to live, Mom!
Your mom passed at 94 and was a scy-fy fan, freaking awesome! I'm 61 so i was there also but we could only afford a b&w white tv. My mom not so much looking at the future, your were so lucky.
For 21st-Century (production date) Trek, might want to skip Discovery and Picard, but Enterprise, Lower Decks, The Orville (yes I consider it simply an alternate quantum reality!) , and Strange New Worlds, are excellent.
TNG will be emotionally my favourite, because at the time I was a teenager, and it was the first new Trek, knowing the TOS only as a kid. Music-wise I still rate Voyager as the best music.
In a time when it feel like all we do is rehash old arguments, stoke old prejudices and limit our horizons because the same old group of people tell us it is not "practical" or "economical" to do otherwise , it is so refreshing to hear the words "It's mission...to boldly go where no one has gone before". Lovely to hear all the themes all together so we can compare them. They each have something special. Perhaps Voyager's has the most warmth. Thank you for assembling all these! Sure hope Strange New Worlds gets seven or eight or nine more seasons and Prodigy can have a few more seasons.
Some more Lower Decks would be nice too. Maybe a movie at least? They've certainly riffed on them enough. I really just hope this isn't the last we see of Mariner. Tawny Newsome did a great job portraying her in live action for SNW, if that's the route it takes
You missed the fact that the theme you featured for TOS was actually only used for the second season. The first season utilized a different arrangement of the theme tune, and only listed Shatner and Nimoy. DeForest Kelley's credit was added for the second season, with the new arrangement of the theme. And the third season, all of the titles were changed from yellow to blue. Also, the visuals changed for each season of "Lower Decks"...different ships were added to the battle scene for each successive season. And you missed the a cappella version of the "Strange New Worlds" theme from the musical episode, and the animated version from the crossover with "Lower Decks".
Voyager, Prodigy and Picard s2 are my favorites out of them all. Just great visuals and score. I do love the wonder and mystery of the Discovery intro theme too
Perhaps it may be due to the fact that I’ve watched these shows more times than I’ll ever publicly admit, but I love the themes from Discovery, Picard (season one), Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Prodigy and DS9. The music and visuals in the opening titles never gets old (at least, for me).
The track that's played when we see the return of the Enterprise D in Picard is probably my favorite. Hard for this 50-year-old to not bawl like a baby when I hear "Make It So" being played.
You went quickly with TOS and then dwelt on the others. TOS had three different main titles. One for every season. 1st season: No "Created by Gene Roddenberry". No "DeForest Kelly as Dr McCoy" and before the main title "Star Trek" appears the Enterprise cross the space slowly. No femal choir in the main title theme. 2nd season: In the titles appears "Created by Gene Roddenberry" and DeForest Kelly was added as starring. The Enterprise always cross the space fast ("whishhh") In the main theme appears the femal choir. 3rd season: As the 2nd one but all titles are blue. For S2, "created by Gene Roddenberry" was added after the main title, and "and DeForest Kelly as Dr. McCoy" added to the top billing of credits. I get what they were trying to do with the second one- make it sound more exciting. But it honestly sounds like they just recorded some extra tracks that don't quite match the original recording.
You missed the differences in Lower Decks openings. Each season adds another enemy in the battle with the Borg. Including the Crystal Entity and the Whale Probe along with the Romulans.
A few variants I noticed missing: Each season, the Lower Decks intro gets updated. In particular, there are more species fighting with the Borg cubes each year. Also, there are two one-off SNW intros missing, both from season 2. There's an animated intro for the Lower Decks crossover, and an a cappella intro fro the musical episode.
I don't blame anyone for missing those, but I do like them a lot, so I was slightly hoping to see them. The running gag with the Borg battle and the Cerritos noping out of there is a great one in particular
Late to the party (as usual for me)... First, you did a pretty good job of getting most of the title sequences but there are a number of Title Sequences missing (or incorrect) here... and they may have already been pointed out: 1. Star Trek: The Original Series Title Sequences were originally aired in the color *_LIGHT BLUE_* not yellow. Yellow was used for the "remastered" versions. 2. In The Original Series (TOS), Season 1 Title Sequence showed: "Staring William Shatner" on the first title card and "Also Starring Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock" on the last title card. Seasons 2 and 3 added a third title card, "and DeForest Kelley as Dr. McCoy", to the Title Sequence. 3. "The Emissary" pilot episode for Deep Space Nine did not show the wormhole in the Title Sequence. 4. 11:45 That is not the correct intro for DS9 (1995-1999). Terry Farrell only appeared in the Title Sequence credits through Season 6 (1993-1998) and Nicole deBoer only appeared in the Title Sequence credits in Season 7 (1998-1999). Terry Farrell never appeared as "Ezri" Dax and their names (Terry Farrell and Nicole deBoer) were never combined. 5. The Voyager intros from Seasons 1 through 3 (1995-1997) are missing as they included Jennifer Lien as Kes. Jeri Ryan was only in the Title Sequences for Seasons 4 though 7 (1997-2001). 6. There are *_two_* Star Trek: Strange New Worlds intros missing. There was a special "animated" Title Sequences for Season 2, Episode 7 (Those Old Scientists) that listed "Special Guest Stars" Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noel Wells and Eugene Cordero... and a special "vocalized" Title Sequence for Season 2, Episode 9 (Subspace Rhapsody).
This is good and all but you need to fix the DS9 1995-1999 as Terry Farrell did not play Ezri Dax, She played Jadzia Dax and Nicole DeBoer played Ezri Dax and only for the last season. Why was Jennifer Lien as Kes not in STV?
"The MILLENIUM FALCON was in the Shape of OUR Continent!!!" "FEDERATION SPACE is named in HONOUR of OUR: SOVEREIGN, COMMONWEALTH, FEDERATED, NATIONAL, FEDERAL, COUNTRY, Of AUSTRALIA!!!" "But YANKS: FIVE OUT OF FIVE, for immitating CLASS!"! ! ! ! ! ! - St. House Australia."
I admit that I didn't like Faith of the Heart for Enterprise when that show first came on. But, looking back, the lyrics fit Enterprise perfectly. Of all the instrumental openings for the serieses, Voyager is perhaps my favorite. As for the films, it's a tossup between Wrath of Khan and First Contact. They're my favorite films and my favorite film scores as well.

Is there a reason you did not use the TV themes for the 2nd DS9 and Voyager sequences? And instead used fan created versions you did not properly credit? Do they know you used their videos?
Guess Jeff Hunter sucked in 1965 if the show was put on hold for a while. Pike first appeared as the main character of the original unaired pilot episode for Star Trek: The Original Series, "The Cage", portrayed by Jeffrey Hunter. When this pilot was rejected, Hunter withdrew from the series, and the character of Pike was replaced with Kirk.
Yeah, I first saw it when I visited relatives in the United States. The same relatives that introduced me to TNG two years earlier. First I kind of rejected it - what's that supposed to be? No starship? Just hanging around in a station? But after it was aired in my country I was curious and it grew to be my favorite Trek show. O'Brien was the glue that made the transition easier. But overall it offered a depth that no other Trek show did at that time. Similar to Babylon 5.
Wanna hook this old Trekkie? Play these themes: ST: The Original Series ST: The Next Generation ST: Deep Space Nine ST: Voyager Play them in that order and you hooked me!
This is a fan made version, the actual TV credits never had both Terry Farrell and Nicole DeBoer on at the same time. In my opinion the actual intro for DS9 from 95-99 was much better quality.
Excelente!!! Os meus temas favoritos: - Star trek : Deep Space Nine - Star Trek: Voyager - Star Trek: Picard_End Credits Este último... UAL... me faz "viajar" quando eu ouço. Maravilhoso!!!
The graphical improvement between the earlier DS9 intro and the later one is enormous. And the most outstanding change that I noticed back then was the different music, due to the lack of a TV that would represent that improved graphic quality. :D That, or it's actually remastered. ;)
Nicely done. The intro to Lower Decks would get increasingly complex with each successive season as the battle with the Borg would bring in more groups to fight. Maybe an updated one where Strange New Worlds would add the alt intro where Lower Decks has a crossover.
Watching this compilation, the back of my mind hears part of the theme from Enterprise, the portion where one would hear, "It's been a long road" or, "I've got faith of the heart" while watching the intro to Picard.
Thank you so much for this compilation!
While, I wouldn't call any Trek theme bad, some stand out more than others. I really like Strange New World's theme among the new Trek shows.

Is that 2nd DS9 opening from one of the games? It looks very CGI and I'm pretty sure the actual season 4+ opening still used practical models.

So. All just CGI instead of the real? Or just poor up scaling
Carry on Dude! Great work! Outstanding redos…….. keep,it up!😊

ds9って、後期にタイトルコールがありましたよね
Is this some sped-up PAL weirdness? This is all wrong.

DS9 is like coming home to the house I grew up in. ❤
Play these themes:
ST: The Original Series
ST: The Next Generation
ST: Deep Space Nine
ST: Voyager
Play them in that order and you hooked me!
11:45 I cannot remember the good Quality of the Intro 1995-1999. Is this taken from some upscaled or remastered Source?
This is a fan made version, the actual TV credits never had both Terry Farrell and Nicole DeBoer on at the same time.
In my opinion the actual intro for DS9 from 95-99 was much better quality.
Excelente!!!
Os meus temas favoritos:
- Star trek : Deep Space Nine
- Star Trek: Voyager
- Star Trek: Picard_End Credits
Este último... UAL... me faz "viajar" quando eu ouço. Maravilhoso!!!
I so enjoy Star Trek................ exploring.
7:54 That recording sounds remarkably
similar to TMP main theme.
That was definitely NOT the season 5 theme. It was definitely the TMP version of the theme in that clip.
i love the enterprise song I GOT FATH TO BELEVE I CAN DO ANYTHING YEA YE YEAAAAAAAA ANY STARRRRRRRR I GOT FATHE I GOT FATH FATH IN THE HEARTTTTTTTTTT
English Tenor, Russell Watson.
That's is so not star Trek
The graphical improvement between the earlier DS9 intro and the later one is enormous. And the most outstanding change that I noticed back then was the different music, due to the lack of a TV that would represent that improved graphic quality. :D That, or it's actually remastered. ;)
The last Picard one sounds like an enterprise theme
Nicely done. The intro to Lower Decks would get increasingly complex with each successive season as the battle with the Borg would bring in more groups to fight.
Maybe an updated one where Strange New Worlds would add the alt intro where Lower Decks has a crossover.
The remastering on these titles are outstanding
We need more (good) Star Trek! 🥰🥰🥰
Watching this compilation, the back of my mind hears part of the theme from Enterprise, the portion where one would hear, "It's been a long road" or, "I've got faith of the heart" while watching the intro to Picard.
Thank you
