There is something special about Trek. I appreciate post apocalyptic fiction and find it fun, but we need hope. Hope for a better future, a future where mankind is united in greater pursuits beyond ourselves and our pettiest considerations. Hope for a future free of deprivation and destitution. Hope for a future free of discrimination and antipathy. A future where we tread among the stars, boldly going where no one have gone before.

Star Trek is truly on the best things created. It’s inspirational and actually has a moral and message. It’s an amazing and perhaps underrated story that more people need to have respect for and watch. I truly believe that if more people watched Star Trek and learned from it, the world would be a better place.

I still remember that first Star ⭐️ Trek movie 🎥 that we saw in December 25th,1979.I was with my cousin when I saw it.The Star ⭐️ Trek series I remember seeing in reruns, back in the early 1970”s.But,looking back,I knew that we grew up ⬆️ with this show. And,those old James Blish books are still for sale in bookstores!
In 1967, I was four and we had a tiny color TV. Star Trek made a huge impression on me. I loved the series more than Rat Patrol and Batman. I was enthralled with more than the opening music. I thought that Capt. Kirk was the greatest man next to my Uncle Travis who came to visit us from Vietnam in his highly starched khakis. William Shatner is up there with Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Steve McQueen and Paul Newman.
The message and vision of Star Trek embodies hope for humanity - and celebrates the spirit of innovation, exploration, and discovery. Although its depictions may not have always been pretty (or, perhaps consistent) - the underlying themes are life-affirming: Courage, Dedication, Duty, Effort, Compassion, Selflessness, Fairness, Equality, Sacrifice, Freedom, Liberty, Justice.
Wonderful emotional journey, I'm old enough that i saw the StarTrek the Motion picture in the Cinema. The pioneer that was to be first of many... Thank You :)

I was in my 1st marriage during DS9 and Voyager, so I'm very fimiliar with Sisko and Captain Kate. My second marriage began almost at the same time as Enterprise with Captain Archer. So, you could say that I'm an original Star Trek fan and can appreciate all the TV series and movies. I've seen them all.
I also watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture in the cinema when it was first released. I fell asleep. The next time I attempted to watch it was at Christmas on TV. I fell asleep again. I wasn't dubbed by film critics 'Star Trek: The *slow* Motion Picture' for nothing!
For me, I'd grown up watching Trek and was a part of the first write in campaign to save it on TV! While pregnant with my firs child at age 27 we had to drive out of state to go see the first ST movie and I watched my husband fall asleep and snore! We made it home the following day because it had started snowing while we were in the theater and ended up camped out in a local cheap hotel with me huge, pregnant, and uncomfortable. I was pregnant with my second son for #2. Both sons have always been absolute Trekkies along with me! I've never missed an opening of any ST movies regardless of how old and beat up my body has gotten!
May I throw out there to check out the Shuttlepod show? I only just recently found it, because algorithm only works in opposite land, I guess. With all the major captains in the series being still alive I always thought it would be awesome if they did some sort of Captain Reunion special in one of the current star trek franchises. Bring Kirk back somehow, then Picard, Janeway, Sisko, then some sort of time anomalie brings in Archer. Potentially Michael Burnham and Sulu could at least make an appearance, but the special would focus on those who were Captain throughout the entire run on their particular series. This is an opportunity which needs to be seized as Shatner is in his early 90s.
We are very fortunate that we have these wonderful theme's ,but alas we will never be able to add to them as Jerry Goldsmith has passed on,as so many that where involved in the Star Trek series have now pasted on.I am guessing the William will be the next one we lose as he is in his late 80's now, and for me star trek, will be dead in my mind,I love the way you played this music in the order that you did, and i thank you as i have watched every single show and movie and enjoyed them all,Thank you Gene and all the actors that have been in the Star Trek Universe.
We've lost so many of who made Star Trek, the show we grew to love no matter where in it's running we were introduced to it.
