  • Wings and Fries air fried AT THE SAME TIME... IN THE SAME COUNTERTOP OVEN!!! This brand new for 2020 air frying toaster oven from Ninja has really impressed me... in this video I use the "2 level" feature this oven has that provides even heating from all sides to cook different items with similar cook times... it worked very well as it has on all the other recipes I have done with it...I can honestly say this is the best air frying device I own at this time... very close to the perfect size for things like a 9 X 13 casserole dish or the whole turkey I cooked in it earlier this week...and no need to flip or turn anything you put in it due to the air flow design... which has worked flawlessly for me so far.... take a look at these wings and fries... or...the prime rib roast and potatoes video... or... the whole turkey video I have to see what I mean... very impressive!!! thanks for stopping by and y'all come back to see me!!! jelly

    John, love your videos. You made me really want this air fryer oven. My old one quit working about a month ago and I bought this one a couple of weeks ago. I haven't got much further than hamburgers and French fries or air fryering pork steaks. But I absolutely love it... Everything come out unbelievably good. Thank you for your videos, they are such a big help.

    For my counter space, I still love my Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven due to the fact that it flips up and saves room, but if I didn't have that issue, (just based on my experience with it), then this taller version with the 2 racks would be the way to go since you can put more height into the food. QUESTION JOHN: Does the bottom of the new unit XL Pro flip down so it can be cleaned like the air fry oven does?

    Hey John! I'm looking at getting this or the DT251 thanks to you! 🙂
    I had a question about the rattling/ticking noise that I can hear every time the back fan spins up or ramps down... Do you think it's the splatter guard vibrating or the fan itself hitting something? Is it as noticeable in-person as it is on camera? Specifically at 8:15 and 10:46 when you open the door.
    I've had problems with convection toaster ovens having that same rattle/ticking, but it was usually the fan running into something (on the ones that I had) and was very obnoxious when running.
    Thanks again! 😊

      It had a ticking sound and it wasn't bad in person but my microphone seemed to amplify it... I finally contacted ninja who did something like FaceTime with me and they sent me another one... so the new videos I have do not have that noise...I own 2 models and neither do that...thanks for watching!!!

    How does this compared to Ninja Airfrayer (AF101) or similar Nina Airfryer model, from pure “Airfryering perspective”. My main concern is cooking time, preheating time, and cleaning? Does the oven take much longer to preheat and harder to clean (the basket)?

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  3 года назад

      It is more to clean but I have lived using it...thanks for watching!!!

    Hi John, we have done several of your recipes, thank you for the great detail - super helps. How do I do corn dogs? Do I use the same basket as I would for the fries? If I wanted to do the dogs and fries together, could I use one of the black trays vs the fry basket so I can cook fries at the same time? Thank you! Ginger

    John, do you think you could do two levels of chicken wings at the same time. If so, what rack for the top. The basket?

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  3 года назад

      Yes and I would use the basket on top and the broiler set up on bottom...thanks for watching!!!

  • @joseph6948
    @joseph6948 3 года назад +1

    Isn't the rack supposed be clear underneath (above and below, the chicken), so the air can circulate to air fry all over and crisp?

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  3 года назад

      Yes... that would be the best set up but for this recipe you will need to order another Air fry rack ... it only comes with one of the ones I had the Fries on...thanks for watching!!

    John, thank you for all your great videos. I noticed that when you added the additional 10 minutes you forgot to select the 2 level cooking function and the oven was set for what appeared to be tray level 3 and not for levels 2 and 4 as before. I would think that this may have caused the outcome of the food to be different based on the amount of time you selected. I only mention this because I know you keep track of times for your recipes for future uses.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  3 года назад +1

      I did forget to do that and I may be wrong about this but I don't think the button effects the way it operates...I think it just suggest the best rack position for the function you select... again... I'm not positive but I can't tell a difference when it is pressed meaning the fan speed does not seem to change... but...I would have pressed it...I just forgot... thanks for noticing and letting me know... and thanks for watching!!

    Does the food in the XL oven take considerably longer to cook foods than in the regular Ninja oven(the one that flips up)? I am trying to decide which one I want to buy and was surprised that it is taking 40-50 minutes to airfry fries & wings together. If that is the case I would be better using two air fryers to cook each separately and have them done in 20 minutes.

      The handle will hit the counter if it's on a kitchen island like i have it sitting but when it's on a normal kitchen counter top the handle... or the controls... are past the counter top edge and do not hit... and the buttons are disabled with the door opened so even if they touch it wouldn't start the unit... hope this helps... and thanks for watching!!!
